The hotel has a beautiful view, pool, and gardens. The restaurant serves a decent amount of options and the food was very good. We were able to enjoy all during the day when we arrived. However the entire town had lost power that day and the hotel did not have a generator. We spent our one night there in the dark with a few candles. The hotel did its best to accommodate this issue.

Perhaps the hotel should look into getting a generator for future black outs. The bathroom had only a small window so we were using it in complete darkness and there was no hot water because of lack of power.

The grounds are gorgeous, really clean and well manicured. Lots of open lawn space, rolls right down to the lake. It is in a quiet area outside of Santiago but easily accessible by tuktuk. There are a couple restaurants close by (within a short walking distance). The room is clean and appointed, they offer daily house cleaning. The wifi is not available in the rooms, only the restaurant, but they have a covered porch area (with a nice view) where you could work from a table and the wifi is fast. I would not recommend for working remotely however just because you are sitting at a restaurant table. Restaurant food is great and the service there is great but they were the only people I spoke to the entire time, no one else was around to answer any questions or help. All that said--if you are looking for some luxurious/comfortable grounds, a nice pool, beautiful view, and a totally flat area (no steep steps like you will find in other areas/towns) this is a great spot!

No wifi in the room which wasn't clear until I got there (although this is not necessarily uncommon for Guat). When I arrived I was shown to my room but given no explanation of services, restaurant hours, or how to get in touch with anyone if I needed anything. No one spoke English which is fine, but did add to my confusion/lack of communication. The only staff I saw while I was there were groundkeepers and restaurant staff. I paid for my hotel stay in the restaurant and checked out by handing my key back to someone in the restaurant. I think reception was supposed to be next to my room but I never saw anyone. Was left a bit on my own. I didn't realize there is a gym until I walked down there myself, the morning I left. The price is pretty steep for this considering what else is available around the lake. But! if you know all of this going into it and this still meets your needs--it's quite a lovely spot.

The view was beautiful, location wise was a bit too far from the town. The suite was big and clean.

Honestly I didn't like the food. We had to go to the store and get our own supplies to make our own food. Also the attitude of the ladies was a bit rude I think. Not what i am use too.

I loved the atmosphere, staff was great.

I wish the rooms had at least a fan , the rooms had better cable and better beds ( personal back issues )

The property is beautiful and well maintained. The lake view is stunning!!! Our room was very comfortable, clean and beautifully decorated. The hotel and restaurant staff were very nice and made extra efforts to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable! Will definitely stay here again!
