Reviewer Comments: Overall a very nice home; however, a few issues were noted- the microwave doesn't work very well (timed cook doesn't work- you would have to press '1' for 1 minute for example, but no option for entering your own cook time); the bed in the downstairs king secondary bedroom needs a box spring or even a board as the mattress is falling through the support rails underneath making the bed very lumpy; and there should be floor mats on the inside of the sliding doors going out to the deck and pool to minimize tracking of sand. I constantly had to sweep up sand throughout the lower level as there is no way to wipe you feet coming in to the house. Also it would be helpful to spray the area around the pool for ants, as there were swarms of red ants on the path from the deck to the pool (and from the pool to the beach). It was impossible to go outside without shoes on, as we would get bitten immediately!

Just a fabulous property all the way around. Looks exactly as listed. Plenty of parking. Ninja blender. A/C worked great. Room for plenty of folks. Bathrooms are super nice. The beach and pool being right there was a big hit. The pool was a bit dirty when we arrived, but with the palm trees and dune brush all around and the wind always blowing, I think a pool would be near impossible to keep clean 24/7. So we got it cleaned on day 2, and it was great. So, I recommend renters request a cleaning right before or upon arrival.

The house has the most amazing view of the ocean! The property was extremely clean. My family of 5 enjoyed the easy access to the beach and spent lots of time in the pool and on the back deck. What could make the house perfect would be adding a platform deck where the lounge chairs are behind the pool. The hill with pine straw is covered with ants and it’s not very inviting. Overall, we absolutely loved our stay in the house and would definitely return!!

We had a nice time at the house. The location is great for Hilton Head. The house was a great setup for us having the kids upstairs and the adults downstairs. The house had almost everything we needed. There was only one kitchen trash bag provided so we did need to buy some extras of those. We left them for the next guest. If any improvement could be made to the property it would be to install a deck where the pine straw and lounge chairs are. That is the best place to lay in the sun, but just a little awkward. Overall we had a great stay and would come back to this property in the future.

First off, this home was very clean when we arrived. We didn’t need to clean anything before unpacking, so kudos to your cleaning staff! This home had everything we needed for a fantastic family vacation. The bathrooms were gorgeous and we enjoyed that each room had its own bathroom. The pool and spa were wonderful. The location right on the beach and close to shops was exactly what we were looking for. The management company also responded quickly to questions. The home Alexa was a nice touch! We would highly recommend this property! Thank you for helping make our family vacation very enjoyable!

While settling in, we checked the pool temperature and it was cold. We pressed some buttons on the controls and seemed to get the spa going. The pool was also dirty with a lot of sand in the bottom. I texted the representative I had been in contact with prior to the trip upon arrival about the state of the pool and how to make it work (although when paying $1k -it should be ready and working. I received no response for almost 3 days. I spent over an hour cleaning dirt off the floors and counter when I arrived. A greasy spot was on the window in the room with the best view. Residue was on refrigerator handle and the carpets are disgusting with stains. Definitely does not look like the pristine pictures posted on VRBO. The location is great, but the house isn’t clean like or updated as expected and you won’t get a print response from customer service. I have still not received anything from upper management. We will absolutely not be staying here again. Early afternoon on Monday (3 days into our stay) a pool technician arrived and told us that the filter was dirty, hence the dirty pool and that the heater timer was set wrong, causing the spa to kick off frequently. After his visit, the pool started heating correctly and performed just fine on Monday evening and today (Tues). Don’t bother responding to this post, instead email me back and reimburse some of my “heating” cost that I paid for 5 days and got less than 2.

While I realize that nothing is perfect, we had several pretty serious issues that we let go. When we left the property we were charged on our credit card an unauthorized amount for cleaning that we did not cause. I tried to work with the company but they refused. I hope the owner of the property reads this review because we will not be back despite the fact we rented this house two years in a row. The location is perfect but the house is showing serious age. The fact that the rental company would attempt to charge us for alleged stains to carpet that has been there for six years is ridiculous. Some of the issues that we faced were failure to clean the pool, unauthorized visit to the property by the rental company, storage of half put together and boxed furniture in our areas and bloody sheets. Also the rental company touts a bike company which was a nightmare. We didn’t get the bikes we asked for and the ones that we did get were damaged. When you pay as much as we did for a week you expect excellent conditions and service. Not only did we not get it we got a petty charge back for something that was not our fault. Vacation homes of Hilton head gets zero stars!

We had a great stay, but the property would be improved by adding additional area around the pool such as a deck. There was no great place to lay out.

Expected better quality overall for the price we paid. Better bedding, better kitchen set up. Location was excellent for shopping and dinning.

I was charged to heat a spa which was non functional . Pool guy said it did not have a functional pump. Also they advertised in amenities an elevator..there was not one.. they also had adds on other websites stating there was an elevator.

We had an amazing time!!!! Can’t wait to go back!

The location is unbeatable. The property management team was responsive and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

Family of 5 (newborn and two toddlers) Pool/spa wasn’t cleaned (sticks and branches) and we could not get the heat to go above 75. I contacted management and left voicemails as I could not get ahold of anyone. I eventually texted the emergency number. No one ever returned my calls, but they did text me. We never could get the pool/spa to heat and the pool company finally can’t at 5:30 the night before we left (5 night stay). I called a week before to get the heat turned on and paid for it, so they knew we were going to be using it. Very disappointing for the kiddos. They trash bins were also full from the previous guests and also did not get emptied until the day before we left. The vacation home next to us was under construction and it was pretty loud during the day when they were working. Pool area/yard was cluttered with the pool chairs/loungers. I think they could get rid of the loungers to make the walkways clear and because there isn’t any space back there for them to even be used. Some of the chairs were rusted, but plastic chairs were fine. Beds were not comfortable, but I expected that from previous reviews. Pro: beach access from the back, 20 minute stroller walk into town.

The house is beautiful, very well-equipped, modern and has a gorgeous location right on the beach with easy access to Coligny Plaza and shops/restaurants. The house was very clean and comfortable. It also came with free Alexa which was lovely to play music in the kitchen/living area. and the TVs all had Roku installed. The weather was cold so we didn't use the pool/spa. Vacation Homes of Hilton Head was a delight to work with. They handled the booking very quickly and efficiently both through their office and after hours texting. The house was keyless/contactless entry which was very helpful for after hours arrival. They also provided complimentary bike rentals and daily mini golf/golf access through the Sourthern Hospitality Pass offered by XPlorie. We were able to play mini golf a few times, biked on the beach almost every day, and tried a couple of the beautiful golf courses at Hilton Head. Overall, it was a wonderful winter escape and we would highly recommend both 133 Dune Lane and Vacation Homes of Hilton Head.

The pool was warm and the spa fit almost our whole group. We biked to shops and the beach was literally just steps away from the house. The only complaint we had was the lack of toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags and dishwasher detergent. Otherwise we had everything we needed!

Beautiful renovations and excellent location. Very clean. A few items that could be improved are a larger refrigerator or a second refrigerator, better mattresses and more silverware and cutting knives. Overall though would highly recommend.

This was a great family vacation home. The location was very convenient. Grocery stores and restaurants are nearby. The only complaint is the family room furniture and the beds were very uncomfortable.

Loved that this house is on the beach AND not right near condos. That meant the beach was not over crowded. The biggest flaw in this house is that there isn’t a rec room or 2nd living rm/tv room. We had teens & adults in our group and space to spread out the 2 groups would have been nice. That said, it was a wonderful week. Nice to be on the beach and have the pool. We enjoyed the bikes. That gave different t pairs of us the ability to split up & bike to Cologne plaza, down the beach or to spoil Bar Jim’s for the best frozen drinks ever!

Everything was good except the upstairs air conditioner couldn’t keep up during the day so it stayed around 76-80 during the afternoon. Also one of the upstairs bathrooms could be updated and the sink and tub drain slowly. It’s a really great location and most of the house has been updated.

Pros: - House has a beautiful location, with the beach only steps away. - The kitchen, dining and living area are updated and have great views of the beach. - The beach is not crowded at all, even in peak season. - Very responsive property management. The pool was too hot and they fixed it within 2 hours. Cons: - There was construction going on across the street, but we couldn't really hear it. - Most of the beds are pretty squeaky and uncomfortable. Overall, great stay. Would rent again.
