Overall the house met our needs. The only 2 issues we had were the ceiling fans were very dusty,we cleaned them and rhe musty smell of the interior that triggered an algeric reaction to several family members. A dehumidifier would do the property well. Other than that very nice stay and location was great.

We really enjoyed our stay in the cottage. There was plenty of room for the 4 of us. I really enjoyed walking down to the water and sitting in the Adirondack chairs watching the ducks swim by. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds were comfortable. The owner responded very quickly to our inquiries. Would recommend.

The cozy cottage was ideal venue and location for our family to visit our son at the nearby US Coast Guard Academy. The idyllic scenery on the banks of the Nantic River really enhanced the experience. Would recommend for any family getaway.

This location is great if you want to be close to Niantic, New London, and Mystic. You have many great beaches close by and the space of this 2 bedroom is perfect. The view to the Niantic River is a nice bonus. If you are looking for a quiet getaway, this place is perfect.

A quaint and Homie little river home.

This quaint cottage was a perfect home base for exploring the area. It was about 15-20 minutes from all the activities/areas we went to. We took advantage of the river access and kayaked from the public marina in Niantic back to the house - a very nice kayak trip. The cottage was clean and well stocked. The owners were easy to communicate with. This was a great first time to the area.

Jessica’s property was exactly as described. It was a quiet, clean cottage on the River. We would definately stay again!

Pros + nice shady yard with picnic table and chairs + Niantic river access + nice breezes off the river + nice dark walk-in closet; perfect for an infant to sleep + great location, right off I-95 and near shops + hosts were communicative Cons - mice poop on the kitchen counters each morning (!!) - low quality master bed; it disconnected from the headboard and overall wasn’t very comfortable. Creaky - bathroom on different (lower) level than master bed (upper) - hardly any kitchen counter space - stove is tilted to one side - dark inside the house - bathroom has a broken floorboard - lots of bugs made their way inside the house even while keeping doors and windows closed - one of the downstairs beds is actually a cot - hosts live right next door

The cottage is very cute and is beautifully decorated. It has the most comfortable beds and couch I've ever encountered at rental property. The river is just down the hill, and we had some amazing sunsets over the hill. We got to see many different types of birds including egrets, cormorants, and osprey. My kids had a great time as well, we spent a lot of time just hanging out by the water and also did some kayaking. There are also many lovely places to visit near by, and the local beaches are gorgeous. There are also many fantastic restaurants near by, serving a variety of different types of food, including an ice creamery that's just up the road. It was a wonderfully relaxing place to stay. I would mention though that the steps to the second floor are quite steep, and may be difficult for some with knee issues. Also, the steps going down to the water's edge are rocky and uneven, and may be difficult for some. My kids loved climbing on them and skipping rocks and shells into the river. Overall it was a wonderful trip. Thank you!

This quaint little cottage was a perfect change of pace for the weekend! Jessica and Scott were helpful and friendly from the first message and keep a lovely home, the garden was gorgeous the yard was great, the grill was perfect! It was a good launch point for some visits to nearby beaches and towns, bit it was even better for staying out and relaxing.

Very nice property. The owners live next door and are very nice and helpful. Nice property that over looks a river with nice open grounds. The house is well kept with a large bedroom on the second floor and second bedroom on the first floor. The steps to the second floor are very steep and would be a problem if you had leg issues. Close to Mystic Sea Port and othe sites.

My family- myself, husband, dog, teens and some of their friends- spent a full week at this property. The house has all the amenities one needs with many thoughtful touches throughout. The place is clean and homey feeling. The grounds were big enough that we could all sprawl out in our own spaces or all be together. There are several areas to gather. You can see the owners' ongoing efforts to keep restoring the property and updating while keeping its nature and charm. If you're into nature, it's abundant with lots to see and explore. While the highway is nearby, it wasn't a deal breaker and was convenient for making quick short trips to wherever we were going. I'd rather take the open space and minimal noise than the crowded houses and lots farther upriver. We liked the peace and tranquility. For us, the well stocked full kitchen (and grill) was a huge plus as it allowed us to be able to cook many of our meals. The laundry area was great also. It meant we didn't need to pack as much for our trip. There was plenty of hot water at all times. We would gladly return to stay again. The hosts were friendly and helpful and answered any questions we had and made some great suggestions of the area.

We had a nice stay with our dogs. The house was well stocked with all the essentials. The weather didn’t cooperate but we enjoyed the nearby towns of Niantic and Mystic.

This was our first stop on a 6 week journey around the NE and it was perfect. Jessica was super, great communication, the place was clean, well stocked and had lots of thoughtful items. Lots of chairs to take in the view. Sits right on the Niantic River where we kayaked everyday. The Niantic Brewery quickly became our go-to place after picking up some to-go food from several nice restaurants. Took a trip up to check out Mystic Pizza and was surprised at how good the food was (went back a second time).
