Stayed for 3 days for a fishing trip. The cottage offered a nice quiet retreat after long days on the water. Easy access to the waterway via a nearby boat ramp.

Did not realize it was a neighborhood environment. Only one channel available on television. Very clean.

It’s obvious the owners care about this cottage and take pride in making it special……as opposed to simply milking every last dollar. Everything is updated as well. The location is awesome for walking anywhere around the Main town including all the restaurants. Everglades city is still old Florida but may be on its way to change. The quaint country charm is what brings us down every year. The cottage is stocked with all basic amenities like soap, towels, etc. and the front porch has a nice swinging chair to drink your coffee on. It is steps away from the water of the Everglades backcountry. We’ll see you next year!!!!

Great location, clean, and wonderful communication with the owners. Could not have asked for a better place to stay in Everglades City.

The good: property was reasonably clean, had a great location, comfortable beds and good linens. The one problem we had was fixed promptly. A/C worked great. Checking and out was a breeze. Convenient location. The Bad: property shows signs of deferred maintenance. Several light bulbs were burned out, upholstered couch cushions were stained and not so clean. Broken drawer in kitchen, dishwasher not secured to cabinet. Minimal kitchen utensils. Glass cooktop was not cleaned properly. These deficiencies were more of an inconvenience but should have been addressed by the landlord before occupancy.

The cottage is clean, comfortable, & convenient to everything that Everglades City has to offer.

Very nice remodel. AC works great to keep things cool. Be prepared for mosquitos and no seeums. Screen door on front would really help.

Nice little property in a great location at an affordable price. Open floor plan makes the house seem larger then it is and the front porch is very nice. Will definitely book again when we come back to hunt for more pythons!

My husband and our 2 teenagers stayed here while exploring the Everglades. This is a cute Florida cottage with some nice updates. Host was very responsive! We had a great visit.

03/28/2022 Went to Everglades City for snook fishing out of kayaks and boating/fishing in the 10,000 Islands. This home was clean and very comfortable and the host responsive to my questions. I highly recommend.

Fishing trip with family.

This is the second time we have rented this home. It is a cute cottage and great location. The basics were quite clean and pleasant. It could use a good deep cleaning and organizing. Things were tossed into closets and cupboards haphazardly. The pans fell out of the cupboard when I opened the door and many were dusty or not thoroughly cleaned. There is also a very limited channel selection on the TV if that is important to you. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

We spent a week at the cottage (which is a simple, comfortable Florida style house across from the local school) as a base to enjoy the Everglades. It ended up being better than expected. It was so easy to move in and immediately feel welcome and “at home”. The kitchen was well equipped and everything worked well. We spent a lot of time reading and relaxing on the porch as well. We did a lot of local boat and kayak touring, swamp buggy rides and bird watching. The Camilla Grill was perfect for lunch and dinners. We could walk there easily. The local Hole in the Walk pizza was excellent as well. And I got fresh seafood from City Seafood as well. Everglades Bait and Tackle has a fun little diner attached that makes smoothies and coffee. Don’t expect anything fancy here....it’s definitely a fishing, family oriented place. A lot of the seafood restaurants close at 3:00 and there aren’t many places to get cocktails. But if you want a mellow spot to launch a once in a lifetime nature vacation in comfort, it’s perfect! Get most of your groceries before you arrive. There is a little grocery store that has a good selection of essentials. For local private tours of the Ten Thousand Islands and mangroves (guaranteed dolphin and alligator sightings....sooo cool) check out Native Tours and Fishing and Jenny’s Eco Kayak Tours. Both gave personal, informational and joyful half day tours. Try the sunrise kayak with Jenny! We will definitely be back. One of the most relaxing and educational weeks I have ever spent anywhere!

Everything we were looking for!

I, unfortunately, locked myself out and the owners were right there and very helpful and accomodating. I would recommend and i will stay there again as i visit very frequently!!!

What a lovely Everglades cottage. It is beautifully decorated and laid out well. Walking distance to two of our favorite restaurants (Camellia St. grill and Triad). The kids enjoyed walking to the waterfront and the city playground. The adults enjoyed the porch swing. Carl was a pleasure to work with. Definitely hope to return.

Fantastic place to stay in Everglades City. Owners were proactive to issues and very responsive to questions. Location was great for us, close to airboats and restaurants, which was our main reason for visiting. Check in and out effortless. Fully stocked kitchen was nice, even though we didn't cook, but stocked better than some places we have stayed. Would highly recommend.

I came down with my son and nephew for a long weekend fishing trip. The owner was very accommodating and was very helpful navigating a scheduling issue. We had everything we needed and would love to return.

The cottage is exactly as described, well decorated and appointed. It's walking distance to restaraunts and sight-seeing. Had a lovely long weekend despite raining every afternoon during our stay. Couldn't have asked for anything more to make our stay more comfortable.
