This was awesome place to stay at and we would love the opportunity to come back one day. Very clean and everything was close by. Can't beat that view!

Great location and water views!

Parking was an issue. Neighbors were a bit touchy about parking. A bit warm in lower level. Otherwise weather was great. Overall great stay. There was a broken grey chair. Also upstairs shower had a crack on floor.

Almost my whole family from across the country met at this home. First time we have been together since before covid. The house is fabulous! No main dining table - no problem! The large kitchen island was huge and had extra stools to seat everyone. plus the outside seating was plentiful. Plenty of towels and sheets... everything worked. Love the perfect few of lake michigan and the sunsets. The deck was by far a favorite! The only thing I would change is the arrangement of the furniture in the queen bedroom that has the bunk beds. we didn't use the bunk beds and maybe the beds are arranged to easily reach outlets. not sure. But, I feel like it could be arranged a bit better so as to access the queen bed on both sides. All in all a great home and we'd for sure stay there again. THANK YOU! EG COTTAGE!

Like many reviewers, the photos of the Lake don’t do this house justice. There are amazing views from the main living area (sitting room and kitchen) and primary bedroom. In addition, you are so close from some views that it feels like you’re hovering just above the water. If you want to be on the water, this is the place.

Never have lived so close to the Lake. Everyday was incredible, walks on the beach, hikes through the woods, great food from Farmhouse and the beauty of the waves. Perfect family getaway. The cottage was exactly the right size, spotless, well insulated with everything we needed.

We had a great winter trip with our adult kids. The location is perfect- fun to walk on the beach and see the weather ice volcanoes on the lake. The rooms other than the master are a bit small but great for adult kids. Very clean and comfortable. Lots of outdoor deck space we didn’t use because it was cold, but beautiful.

These people could not have been better hosts. What a wonderful property as well. Very clean, right on the beach, minutes from everything. We enjoyed every bit of it and will be returning to Saugatauk and only staying here.

Girls weekend, the house was great! Beautifully located right on the lake, the views were amazing!!

The views were stunning at this home on the beach. Property was as described and is one of a kind. We had no issues at all. There were plenty of blankets and towels. The kitchen was well stocked and had all that we needed. Home is conveniently located to the nearby entertainment. The sunset views on the deck is a great space for creating memories. Would absolutely recommend this as a top place to stay.

I agonized on whether it was fair to rate this as a 4star and not 5, because it was awesome for us, however some improvements could be made. The location is amazing. AMAZING. The deck hangs over the water and is better than pics can capture. We spent a lot of time out there and on beach. We had some solid wind for 2 days which brought waves that were just right for kids to boogie board. The water stays quite shallow for a long time which also helped. Brand new grill was awesome. The house itself is captured very well in pics, and felt slightly smaller in person than I thought but was very functional. We did not have any issues with neighbors/ parking. The less than perfect: Lack of a set of real/ adult wine glasses was a bummer. A few tiny random wine glasses was only option. The tv setup was less than ideal. Main tv had a goofy setup with a chromecast, which was broken. Luckily I brought my adapter to my laptop and was able to stream content to the TV from my laptop. We were told it would be remedied in 2 days, at which point new parts arrived in mail, I attempted to rewire, but was unsuccessful. The tv in downstairs is smart and we’re able to stream to it for kids. We did not have any issues with internet, luckily, because cell coverage isn’t great. Exterior door was broken to deck and we had to keep locked. Several Kitchen drawers were messed up. Again, this place has the location nailed and with some tlc could be perfect.

A phenomenal spot, a stunning view from the house, and extremely functional spot to call home for few days. Great amenities. Nice sized living space to spread out, deck space for all guests, and kitchen facilities for cooking. We celebrated our anniversary over a long weekend and it was the perfect place for our family. This made for nice beach time, accommodating spots to hang out and talk, and mealtime was easy with the open kitchen. Thank you for providing the backdrop for our time to remember!

Came in for a long girls weekend at the tail end of summer. The beachfront is spectacular with plenty of sand and shallow entry. The giant wraparound deck was perfect for watching sunsets. The master suite is very nice. Other bedrooms are small which is fine for a beach cabin. I think the upstairs bed is a full, not a queen? Plenty of blankets, bath towels, beach towels and dishes. No problem connecting to the smart TV to watch shows. No dishwasher but hand washing was no biggie. We used the public shuttle to get to and from town which was perfect. Nice neighbors too. You walk past several other properties on the wooden stairway down to the house.

We enjoyed our time together the views were awesome, plenty of deck room and beach. Amenities in the house were good. The space is broken up into smaller rooms.

The house has a great location right on the water and the beach is clean and great to walk on and collect rocks/shells. The listing pictures are older as the beach is closer than what it appears (no trees/shrubs to walk through) but the home has some definite wear and tear also not seen in the pictures. Our biggest complaint was the lack of dedicated parking which was not known at booking. We were parking 3 vehicles on the street and found ourselves in constant battle with neighbors who claimed spots to be their personal property. Overall the location can’t be beat but just be aware the home comes with quirks.

Our family had such a nice time swimming, making fires on the beach and spending time in your beautiful home.

We had a great experience with this property and vacation. The house was just as advertised. It was accommodating, clean, and well-equipped. The location was perfect. It’s a beach-front property but just minutes to town. The owner was responsive and helpful with everything we needed. The house comfortably housed 9 of us, and there are different spaces for people to explore and socialize, so it didn’t feel like we were crowded into the space. As stated, there are a lot of stairs to get from the road to the house, so make sure you don’t have mobility problems if you rent this property. It’s a beautiful property and I highly recommend it.

This is a great property with tons of beach. There’s a long walk to get to from parking to the house, but very worth it! Big kitchen and beautiful views- closest house to the beach.

We had a wonderful stay at this property- you cannot beat the location, the charm of the little town, the wonderful restaurants and everything the house offered to us! We will certainly be back! We loved how easy it was to play anything on the smart TVs, the well stocked towels, blankets and kitchen and the ease of access to everything! Some things for the owner to consider- sheets were so scratchy and a bit uncomfortable, the beds could use headboards and/or frames and possibly new mattresses and the master could fit a larger bed. For those of us coffee drinkers we would suggest a better coffee maker or a Keurig. You are there for the beach and the views true but the comfort of the small things/details really take the experience from great to unforgettable. Thank you!

We loved our Memorial Day weekend on the Lake. Great set up for multiple families and young kids. We love to cook and the kitchen was well stocked just missed a dishwasher.

A little slice of heaven. Perfect ending to a day… Take a glass of wine sit out on the deck watch the sunset over the lake… What a view. The home was spotless and was stocked with everything you need for a perfect vacation.

We were looking for a lake front cabin close to restaurants and the Tulip Festival activities. We were able to bring our puppies as well as our adult children for much needed reset time. Everything was wonderful. We had everything we needed, gorgeous cabin, clean & equipped! Thank you! Everything exceeded our expectations - we will be back!

My family really enjoyed our wintery long weekend at the beach. Views were amazing and we are anxious to come explore more in warmer weather. Home was better than advertised and offered a cozy getaway for my family.

Great experience front doors needed blinds or curtains to them. Upstairs thermostat was alittle technical. All the bedrooms didn't have a television and it was alot of stairs and walk way to get to cabin.

Just far enough away, while close enough. The owners were terrific to work with and very responsive!

We had a great time. The best sunset ever. We were not aware of how far and how many stairs to get to the house. Carrying luggage was a bit difficult. House was amazing, clean and very comfortable.

The property has an amazing view and a great location. Enjoyed walking on the beach right downstairs. Also just a 5 minute drive to downtown Saugatuck. The beds were cozy and having three full bathrooms was convenient. The place was stocked w/ linens/towels/blankets. Would love to come back in the summer time!
