A lovely place in a gorgeous setting and so quiet and peaceful. We needed a few days away from the rat race of Auckland and this was perfect. Cambridge has a lot to offer for food and to stroll through the shops. Locals made a point of saying hello as we walked through the township, not something you get in Auckland. Staying at Karapiro just made the trip perfect. We did a day trip to Papamoa and then back to Karapiro for our last night before heading back to Auckland. Sue was a great host and had everything set for our arrival, we also got to meet April. Highly recommended!

The whole house was very clean with modern facilities and a full size kitchen. (Instructions on using the modern stove and range would be helpful. I couldn't figure it out, but my husband finally did. Also, it you plan to do lots of cooking the frying pan wasn't in great shape, all the other dishes and pans were fine) It has comfortable couches and beds. Nice heater for the living area. At the bottom of the driveway it looks as if there is a path across the road that runs the full distance of the lake. We just didn't have enough time to do it. Note the dam is under construction. This didn't effect us. The views are amazing as are all the relaxing sounds of birds singing. My husband says this was his favorite place to stay!

Perfect accommodation for our group of 2 couples. Comfortable and convenient to many amenities in the area. Really appreciated the air conditioning ( not that we used it), dishwasher and washing machine.

The place is large enough to accommodate our entire family of 6, but my wife and I still found it perfect for just the two of us. New Zealand rentals are just different. They have accommodations for everything. We could have cooked a gourmet meal with everything that was equipped in the kitchen. Had we planned better, we would have taken advantage of the kitchen. The Cambridge restaurant scene is good, but we didn’t want to leave the place once we dropped our bags.
This is a gem for sure. The atmosphere is tranquil. The deck is surrounded by nature and has privacy. It’s a great spot to home base for your hobbiton and waitomo cave tours. Highly highly recommend.

We loved our stay at Pincots. The house is beautiful and well stocked. Very comfortable beds and beautiful view. A great place to just relax. While a bit in the country it is only 10 minutes away from the town of Cambridge with all you need including nice restaurants. Sue was wonderful and stayed in touch to make sure all was fine. I would definitely go back here and probably spend more time to visit central north island sites. Lived having April drop by for little visited as well.

Was in the area for a rowing regatta and the location was brilliant. Cottage had everything we needed and was well set up (although, given it poured with rain, a dryer would have been handy for all the rowing gear each night!). Appreciated that it had basic things like spreads and oil, and beautiful home made jams. Would definitely stay again.

We love the property the views were great and the location was perfect. Sue was a great host and provided great insturctions of how to get there and information about the area. We loved our stay and would definitely come again.

We really enjoyed our three night stay in this amazing property. Everything was clean and welcoming and we particularly appreciated the range and quality of the kitchen and its excellent utensils. The house was ideally placed for our Hobbiton visit and other trips out. Thank you so much.

Our hosts Dave and Sue were great with communication and help when needed. Location is central to most of the mid coast with only an hr drive each way to attractions. Beautiful to wake up to the hills and cows.
Highly recommended. If we come again we will definitely stay here again.

Absolutely loved staying in this gorgeous cottage. Couldn’t have asked for a more perfect and beautiful spot for this country girl and her wedding party to get ready in for my big day.
So much space, so much beauty and character and so lovely and clean. Loved it!! Want to go back just to hang there and enjoy that space alol over again.

The cottage was lovely, and the rooms were comfortable! The views were breathtaking from the front room, we had a lovely few evenings while enjoying a stunning open kitchen to make meals and chat. April was the cutest visitor, we loved when she made her rounds!
Thank you to Sue for the tasty jam and chutney, it was such a pleasant surprise to enjoy with our toast and coffee in the am.

The cottage was wonderful, perfect for two couples.The location was ideal, close to town, yet a country setting. Weather wasn’t great for us but the place was.

The cottage is fabulous! Nice and private with a lovely rural view over the hills. Beds are super comfy and everything is spotlessly clean. Sue is a lovely host and makes the best plum jam and relish. Don’t hesitate to book. Just not on the days we want to go again!

Everything about this Bach was perfect. It is gorgeous, well furnished with everything you need including homemade jam & chutney!
Our two young (5, 2) kids got a real kick out of the young cows being in a pasture next door. They also loved the books and toys on hand.
This place was so well kept, clean, and comfortable. If we come back to New Zealand we will definitely try to stay here again.
April the spaniel was a sweetheart. Sue and Dave were excellent hosts.

The cottage is wonderful with a beautiful setting and view. The cottage is private and very comfortable. We had everything we needed for great dinners on the deck. Great location with a short drive to many great destinations in the area. We will try to stay again!

Pincots cottage was simply incredible. The views were amazing, the property was beautiful and very clean and Sue was a lovely host, giving us complimentary jam and milk from her farm. Her dog is also very friendly and may pay you a surprise visit! Highly recommend.

Would thoroughly recommend and having stayed at several alternate places previously in the area, would definitely return again based on how nice our stay was.

A quiet getaway for a break in life, this was perfect with a very well appointed place. Clean, tidy it had everything we needed, even a friendly, faithful pup. Definitely stay again if we hang in Cambridge again.

Such an amazing quiet little big place. The whole group enjoyed the little cottage. There was enough room to not feel on top of everyone but still felt cozy and home like. Excellent facilities and communication was amazing. Would absolutely come back and stay here. Amazing outside area and amazing views of the land.

Just what we wanted
We needed a meeting point and place for stay in, for a group of reuniting friends going to an event at Hobbiton. Pincotts Cottage was just perfect. The family with us (2 adults 2 children) was able to be slightly set apart at one side of the cottage with their own bathroom, and the two couples had lovely rooms and a shared bathroom at the other side. In the middle was a comfy sitting room, dining room and well-stocked kitchen.
The house was close to Hobbiton, while also being convenient to Cambridge for shops and meals.
The cottage is tucked away, but there are multiple signs to the cottage throughout the driveway. Even arriving in the dark we found it easily.
Communications with Sue were easy and prompt, and she was a very generous host in various ways.
It was just what we needed.

Wonderful Place To Stay
Our trip to New Zealand was magical, Pincott’s Cottage was absolutely beautiful. We were greeted by breathing views each day, and the sweetest farm dog you could ever meet. The house was spotless and so very nice. Upon our arrival we had three jars of treats made right on the farm with a letter from Sue, the property owner. We felt right at home. During our trip, we had a few rainy days and played board games that were provided, and our 7 year old enjoyed the toys that were left for her to play with. We would highly recommend Pincott’s Cottage it was warm, homey, and inviting!
