Wonderful stay at the Normandy Cottage. The property was very clean and modern. The kitchen was massive and furnished with everything you could need. We enjoyed walking around the charming town of North Beach to a bakery/coffee shop, restaurants, beach, boardwalk, and a beautiful town park. There was a little mix-up about who was to send us the check-in procedure, but that was quickly sorted out. One of the bedrooms had a thin plastic mattress cover that would get loose during the night and end up krinkling up in the middle of the bed. Needs a fabric cover. That’s our only suggestion. Everything else was perfect and we hope to return someday soon.

Visited North Beach with my husband and 2 young children for the weekend. This house was perfect for our family. The house was clean, the kitchen had all supplies needed, and there were plenty of towels and blankets for our stay. The house was close to the beach, restaurants, and a few shops. Definitely recommend if you are visiting the area.

We loved our stay! We traveled with our two kids (1 & 3) and the house and location were perfect for our family. Walking distance to restaurants, ice cream, beach & boardwalk, playground, and Farmer’s Market. Norma was a great host. We will definitely be back!!

We were in the DC area for a couple of weeks visiting our daughter who attends college in the city and wanted to take her away for the weekend. This little cottage in North Beach was the perfect place. The town is quaint and adorable with great food and this little home was in a great quiet location and clean! Highly recommend.

We had a sailboat day cruise scheduled out of Chesapeake Beach so we booked two nights at Normandy Cottage. Unfortunately, the sailboat cruise was cancelled, leaving us with a day and a half to find something else to do. The house is in a great location, close to the pier, a couple restaurants, and a few shops. The house is comfortable, stocked with essentials. Mostly clean except sand all over the couch. We put a sheet over it and moved on. For some reason, the xfinity box was unplugged which limited tv choices. I found the unplugged box day 2 and that helped. Beds are nice, mattresses comfortable. The owner is not the most communicative, we did not get check in codes until the day before check-in. Overall we were pleased.

This cute little bungalow is centrally located one block from the boardwalk, beach and playground. I love the large deck where you can see the water and enjoy music from nearby restaurant. It is decorated beautifully and has everything you need from a rental. Beach passes are included which is a plus. The house has an ant problem but other than that, I would love to stay here again.

This property is newly renovated and was just right for our small group. It has three bedroom's with two Queen beds and one trundle bed. There is one bathroom, but workable with family. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and pots and pans. It is within walking distance to the boardwalk and lots of restaurants and shops. The nice big front deck was shaded for part of the day.

Visiting family in Dunkirk. Limited selection of hotels to stay. North Beach is beautiful, family friendly and this cottage is in the heart of it. You can walk to restaurants, shoppes, beach, church and more. Cottage is well appointed. Towels, bedding all nice. Comfortable beds. Strongly recommend this place - but hopefully not on the dates that I will return!

From the moment we stepped foot into the Normandy Cottage, we felt at home. The home is impeccably furnished and maintained. Linens and towels were comfortable, kitchen was stocked enough for us to do some basic cooking, and the inclusion of beach passes was a blessing. We loved being able to walk 1 block to the beach and to the wonderful restaurants in North Beach - great seafood, mexican, bakery, ice cream, and wine store. We even got to sit on the porch for picnics and listen to the music on Friday night at the beer garden. (The music was not too loud that my kids couldn't fall asleep!) Everything about our week at the cottage was just lovely - thank you, Norma, and we can't wait to come back!

Never stayed at the property but the communication with Norma was awful. Tried multiple times and she was very unresponsive. Even tried to speak with her before I wrote a review and she would give me time windows then not be available. She also did not provide the access code prior to my stay. Would not recommend based on my experience.

I booked this house for myself and my 2 daughters as a getaway for the 4th of July holiday. Could not have been more pleased. Great space, plenty of room, great kitchen and very close to the beach and boardwalk. I’d highly recommend it and will probably stay again in the future to so that we can visit DC some more.

Very clean property. There were no bath accessories such as bar soap, shampoo, kleenex. Also, the ice maker is blocked and will not dispense.

Such a relaxing stay in a beautiful peaceful spot!

This house had the perfect location. There was a drive-way so you had off street parking and you could walk to everything in town. The boardwalk/beach was within sight. Many restaurants including the amazing cheese shop and ice cream shops were within waking distance. In the evenings (at least on the weekends), we could even enjoy the music from the beer garden right from the deck. The only downside we found to the house was the shower. There was a bathmat in the tub and there was lots of hair left behind from other guests and a moldy shower curtain which made us wonder how clean it really was. I know it's hard to find people to work right now though so that might be the cause. The location and the deck was so great that I still gave it a 5. I'd just take gloves and cleaner for the tub just in case. Positives were that if you have young kids, the shower head does pull down which is nice for washing kids hair and all the linens were included. For some reason, many beach houses often require you to bring your own sheets and towels which is a pain. There was also hand soap, toilet paper, paper towels and everything you need to just start vacationing when you get there instead of running to the store. As we suspected from one of the pictures, there is also a k-cup coffee maker if you want to pack some extra pods (there are some to start, my husband just drinks A LOT of coffee. 😃). We had a great long weekend. The Chesapeake Railroad museum is close by and there are all sorts of great state parks in the area. Thanks Norma!!

Needed a few days away with my husband, our daughter, and my mother-in-law and this house was the prefect house and location! Very clean upon check-in. Norma was very accommodating! Loved being walking distance to all the “hotspots” in North Beach. Would absolutely recommend this property and can’t wait to return!
