Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Merchant Hotel in Galle Fort, and it surpassed all my expectations. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful, offering complimentary delicious fruit snacks and fresh juices each night. The cosy and comfortable atmosphere added to the overall enjoyment, and the hotel's central location made it convenient to explore the fort and nearby beach. I can't express enough how satisfied I was with my stay. Thank you, Merchant Hotel, for creating the best memory of my Sri Lankan trip. Highly recommended!

Nothing, everything was more than perfect.

Breakfast was good, although I would stick to simple dishes. Great juices and fruit We had a very good lunch. Did not eat in the evening.

The rooms are getting a bit tired. Although as per the photos they could do with a touch of paint. Very clean though.

Location is perfect, beautiful colonial building, nice restaurant on the property, good shower and wifi

The hotel is conveniently located right in the centre of the lively bars, restaurants and shopping area. The staff were super friendly and helpful and the service we had was exceptional. The room was spotlessly clean, large and airy with a huge en-suite shower. Food wise, the breakfast and evening menus were extensive and could be eaten outside in a shaded area or in the air-conditioned restaurant, the food quality was amazing. There was an outside bar area where you could sit and people watch and the drinks menu was comprehensive. I genuinely don't think the hotel could have done any more to make our visit more enjoyable. I cannot recommend this place more highly

Everything at this establishment was exceptional. Checkin was easy, our pre-arrival request was honored, our rooms were clean, the staff was incredible, and the location was perfect. In addition to the hotel being fantastic, the hotel's on-premise restaurant was to-die-for (make sure to try the chicken sandwich). We can't wait to visit again. Bonus: Ask for a room on the top floor to have gorgeous vaulted ceilings.

Wow ..one of the better places we have been over the years literally around the world. And especially in Sri Lanka. Hence starts with a super refreshing fresh welcomr juice you can chose from the menu yourself. Check in fast and earlier possible than the official check in time. Whole hotel new and with a pretty classy design. Also infrastructure bat a rather very high level. Very cosy rooms with a super bathroom. The staff really extremely friendly, fast and helpful. Especially to be mentionned Amien at the reception. The breakfast simply delicious with good cafe or tea included (not always the case in Sri Lanka). Yet almost too much since two big rounds based on your menu preferences 🤪. Also the dinner delicious for a bit higher price (yet better food than a highly rated restaurant closeby). Super well located in the very center in Galle fort yet rooms all silent (on the other side of the road try tonic spa..very qualitative spa rooms and charmy colonial infrastructure with excellent massage for a fair price). Even so over 150 usd the night..its great value for money👍. Definitely a place to stay☺️!
