Helpful and friendly staff
Priced on the high side. Breakfast was ok but would be better with basic omelet options or eggs benedict/toast bacon etc.

The staff was exceptional. they spent time making sure we were happy with everything. They even planned our excursions for us. and the location was far better than we had hoped. Right in the middle of town. So we could walk to every place we needed to go.

All of the staff were fantastic, super friendly and helpful. Snacks and beverages in the afternoon were excellent. Cottage is very cute, definitely a nice place for a couple to stay. Grounds are well maintained and full of hummingbirds and flowers. Great location, easy to walk everywhere.
Our only issue was the screen door on the cottage, did not close properly and the screen itself was in disrepair.

Beautiful property. The grounds and house were carefully manicured and very tastefully decorated. This is a B and B. The breakfasts were outstanding. Chris and his entire staff were welcoming, very friendly and service oriented. Parking is available on site which is a huge advantage in busy Bar Harbor. This was our first visit to Maine. This stay was a highlight. We will look forward to returning.

The breakfast was delicious , a you get something sweet to start and after you can choose from two option that both always are great.
My room which was is in a cabine , smelled humidity. The odor that caused allergies to me . So it was difficult to sleep the whole night

We had a wonderful stay. They surprised us with a bottle of Prosecco & chocolate covered strawberries!!! Honeymoon!!!

Chris is amazing. The location is awesome and very clean.
I'm gonna say the only downside was no onsite laundry. We stayed for 4 nights and needed to go to a laundry mat to wash clothes. Not a huge complaint and would still give this place a 5star review. But the one thing it's missing is washer/dryer access.b

I loved everything about this place! Our cottage was cute, cozy and clean, the staff was kind and accommodating, breakfast was delicious and the location is unbeatable.
We only stayed for one night. Going to have to come back for a week next time.

The location of the cottage is within walking distance to everything the town has to offer. The room was cozy and very clean. Loved waking up to a beautiful aroma of fresh baked goods prepared by the chef. The breakfast was superb. The staff was very accommodating, friendly and pleasant. I would definitely recommend Sand Bar Cottage. We loved it there. Thank you.

Excellent location and top notch breakfast with friendly staff. A nice bonus was that excellent coffee was available at 5:45 am for those of us doing early morning hikes. Two blocks to the action.
Our room was a bit basic and dark, but still clean and comfortable. Our room was not cleaned during our stay, which was an unhappy surprise given the price of the room (nearly $400 per night).

Location was excellent and breakfast felt like a bonus. Host graciously accommodated my wife’s vegan meal preferences.
Older toilet model would have been more comfortable if updated to taller style. Not a dislike, really. Just a suggestion for even better accommodations!

Do yourself a favor and stay here! It was clean, the people were friendly and accommodating and the breakfast was delicious. I actually wish we could have stayed longer.

We stayed in an Acadia Cottage King room. It was very clean and spacious! The daily breakfasts were absolutely phenomenal… so delicious!! Staff was helpful and gave suggestions for where to go in Acadia.

The breakfast is served personally and as if luxurious, but it is not satisfying. If they also freely add: bread, bagels, butter and jam and fruit it will improve the meal

The breakfast was superb! Creative, filling, and delicious! The decor was lovely and relaxing.
Road noise but expected as we faced the front and it was a holiday weekend.

location. walked to everything downtown.
sleeps 4 but only three uncomfortable chairs. should put small loveseat and two comfortable chairs in sitting area. only one mirror for four people. beds were uncomfortable as were pillows. could hear people moving and talking in hallways all night long. with only one server, breakfast was a little long of a wait. Also if you were in seated in the garden, you got overlooked.
