Such a great location and listing is as described. Quiet neighborhood and an easy walk to Sister Bay. Would recommend staying here.

We enjoyed our stay in Sister Bay at this small home. I think we took advantage of everything it had to offer. We enjoyed the bikes from the shed in back, the grill, the outdoor tables and chairs, and the fire pit with plentiful wood. We also cooked a few simple meals there and of course coffee in the mornings.
Easy walk or bike ride to Sister Bay offerings like restaurants, boats or beach.
Updates in the kitchen were apparent and while we cooked a few meals, this is not a gourmet kitchen. Just plan for simple stuff.
Laundry came in handy too.
Owner Mathew was always responsive.

This was an absolutely perfect rental for a small/young family! Amazing location and they really thought of everything. Extra towels and pillows and even a pack n play! Would definitely stay again!

We had a wonderful stay at Matthew's place. The location is perfect, just a hop skip jump from the lake and downtown sister bay. We really enjoyed being close enough to everything but just off the main drag so we could have privacy and quiet when needed.
Everything was as described! We were comfortable with the amenities and new AC system. We easily had a bonfire one evening as well!
We will most definitely consider using Matthew's place for our next Door County trip.

House was comfortable and clean, plenty of extra blankets and pillows, and was easy to walk to town if we wanted.

Our cottage was clean, comfortable, quiet, and close enough to town we walked through harbor every day. Back yard had privacy for bonfires and grilling. Enjoyed the firepit every night after a day of adventuring. There was a generous amount of firewood. The only suggestion I’ll make is for those who love to bonfire as we do, a shovel and fire poker would be found most useful to clean the pit and manage the fire. When we stay here again, we hope to find those useful items conveniently hung on an exterior shed wall.

House was very clean. Looked very new. Excellently outfitted. Cute, quiet getaway. But very close to shops and restaurants.
Cleanest rental that I have experienced.
Could tell owners took a lot of effort to make sure guests had everything they needed.

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon. The furniture in the bedrooms was a bit different than we were expecting, but it didn’t make too much of a difference for us. The location was fantastic and it was a good “home base” for us while we adventurer around Door County.

We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back. Home was nicely finished and had all the amenities, and more, that we needed. Location was very convenient yet quiet. Everything was very clean and check in and out was simple as can be. Have to say the fall fall colors this year were amazing - best we've seen ever. Loved going to all our favorite restaurants and galleries. Love staying in Sister Bay since we spend almost all of our time on that end of the Peninsula. Thanks for everything to our hosts.

Nice place. Great location. A little pricey but I think it's just the area. The furniture was not really comfortable and the beds were just OK. Appliances are nice and new. I used the washer and dryer as well. Plenty of towels and blankets. We loved having the firepit and used it every night. Plenty of wood but we had to split it. Bring an ax. Also bring all the little extras such as spices and oils. All toiletries as well. We made a lot of runs to Piggly Wiggly which is nice and close. (Usually I bring too much!) We had a great time and I would rent this place again. Thank you Matt!

Very comfortable place to relax, sleep and decompress. Sister Bay is a great place to stay as it’s easy to get to any destination on the Peninsula from there. Good communication with homeowner and all of the home rules and expectations are clearly laid out.

We stayed at this beautiful house that was easily walkable to sister bay. The house was nicely updated and super clean and it was on a perfect quiet street. My family of four with kids 10 and 11 had the best week and looking forward to rebooking for next year.

If you want great location and access to all that upper Door County offers this might be the place. This cottage is clean, completely updated, well maintained and located with in walking distance of all the town's amenities. Sister Bay has plenty of great restaurants and bars. The cottage is 2 blocks from the lake and not far from all the state and county parks in Door county.

The cabin was clean, very well-appointed and in a great location! The only disappointment was that the air conditioning was not central - it was located in the main room. We were lucky that the week was cool or we may have had a warm bedroom (we prefer to sleep quite cool.) Other than that it met our expectations! The owner was also very accessible.

This little property is quiet and quaint. It’s only a couple of blocks off of the main drag in Sister Bay, so the walking distance was a plus! It didn’t feel like you were in the hustle and bustle of all the tourists most of the time. The little yard and fire pit were perfect for quiet evenings after being in town most of the day. The host was very accommodating! We had accidentally left my 5 year old’s necklace and the host graciously texted me to notify me and mailed it back to us! 10/10

This house was very clean and elegant! I felt comfortable sleeping here and didn't see any dust at all. This is big considering how bad my allergies flare up and how some of the properties I've stayed in in the past are pretty dusty. I loved the keyless entry too. It had everything we needed to make dinner each night.

We really enjoyed our stay here at Mathew’s cottage. Very peaceful here but yet close to all. Enjoyed our quiet evenings around the campfire after a long day of bike riding and shuffling around the crowd of people. Will look forward to staying here again next fall!!

Cute property, short distance to town. Even though it was one road off the main road, it was very quiet. Nothing fancy, but it suited our needs. Everything was nicely updated. Second bed was a bit squeaky. Would stay there again.

What a cute little property! Very clean and well stocked. The host responded immediately to texts. The booklet they have for their property is professionally done and filled with info and QR codes as well as the history of the property. Loved being able to walk into Sister Bay. Had a campfire Saturday night and could hear the music from the Staubber perfectly!! Great place to celebrate my daughter’s 4th bday. Thank you!

This property is perfect for a family of 4. We enjoyed being on a quiet street but close to the action of sister bay. Great proximity to all of Door County adventures. I agree with the squeaky bunk bed comment from a previous review but putting the upper mattress on the floor helped!

It was a nice quite location just a block off the downtown area. The house was comfortable and nicely updated. The owner had some nice literature that was helpful information about the area.

Perfect location and completely renovated with plenty of closet space. Owner is very responsive and we enjoyed our stay! One overall callout - the bunk beds are metal and very squeaky and loud whenever someone moves, which would have been overall fine if I didn’t have an 8 year old complaining all night over it 😁

Lovely summer vacation
The home was absolutely perfect for our summer vacation. The location was perfect. We could walk to the downtown and felt in the middle of everything else we did. Everything was clean and thoughtful down to having a hamper. It was a good size for our family of four. I will definitely look forward to staying here again for our next Door County vacation.

Sister Bay Vacation
We really enjoyed our stay and the house was very comfortable. It's close to everything but the road is nice and quiet with hardly any traffic. It had all the features we needed and we would highly recommend it.

Great location and comfortable cabin
We totally enjoyed our stay at this very comfortable home. Everything was clean and we had all of the conveniences of home, even a Keurig coffee maker. Loved to be able to sit outside on the deck and have a fire in the firepit to relax in the evening. A nice quiet neighborhood, yet within walking distance to downtown and restaurants. Thank you for sharing this cabin with us. We hope to be back again someday.

This cottage was immaculate! Newly renovated, comfortable and had everything you could need. Perfect for our family of 3. Plus the location was great as well - nice wooded lot in a quiet neighborhood and walking distance from town. We would definitely stay here again!
