Lovely quiet spot in a quaint German village

If you’re a light sleeper the church bells may keep you awake. but I found it very therapeutic.

it is in a very pleasant location, comfortable, we only stayed one night arriving late no problems felt welcome.

Very clean room on top floor #21 with good WC which was also very clean . Stayed here previously in August 2021 this this was our 2nd. time staying here and will do it again if riding through the area. Very good inside bicycle storage and immediately off the bike trail . Breakfast good , complete and adequate . Owner and manager Frau Irene Dillman was very pleasant ,cheerful and helpful . Very close/ easy walking to several excellent restaurants for dinner .

Wish I were younger which would make Schlepping up two sets of stairs a bit easier !!! Otherwise all was great

The location was very handy for the town centre with its shops and restaurants. There was also a parking space that was just outside the front door. The large garage was handy too. Well situated for walks in the hills and mountains. The kitchen was reasonable and had a good sized fridge, albeit not a lot of counter space. The lady was very nice too. Quite a few cats nearby which my little girl loved.

The church bell just outside was monumentally annoying and rang every 15 mins throughout the night (this was a little hard to anticipate beforehand). Even with the windows and the balcony door closed it was still very loud and could be heard through earplugs. With the warm weather closing windows wasn't really an option. Think the place is slightly on the pricey side in comparison with other flats in the town, but we struggled to book somewhere else so what can you do? Being permitted the occasional use of the washing machine in the staff area would have been helpful. A few extra bits and pieces would have been nice, like an extra couple of pillows or some more bowls for keeping leftovers in the fridge for example. I brought kitchen knives with me which is something I would suggest for others. The balcony faces west so an umbrella or an awning would have been a welcome addition as we were squinting our way through dinner.

Owner / manager quite friendly and tried to be helpful but her poor English and my poor German were a bit of a barrier . No elevator and two flights of steep steps to bring our bike panniers up . Room was quite nice and very clean . Bathroom also was clean . Had to be careful not to run your head into the beams in the room for the roof . Close to bike route and to several restaurants . Good breakfast - not very imaginative but good basics !

Steep stairs to room and although the wood beams in the room were rustic and necessary to keep the roof up they were bothersome because of constant need for vigilance to avoid head injury
