The location, being at the top of the hill looking over the trees, I would not really have liked to be at the bottom of the hill.

Somebody was clearing the land on a machine and kicking up lots of dust. When it was really windy at night we could hear a roof panel vibrating, might need a screw or two 😉. The mattress in the king bed was a little soft and collapsing on the left side.

Beautiful location and property! It had everything we needed and is a central location close to multiple wineries and breweries.

Noise of people next door

The mix of verandah furniture was quaint. The place is cosy and the setting and the view just beautiful.

The single bed was uncomfortable. The art work was not aesthetically pleasing. The toilet floor is very slippery when wet.

The description of Hillview advertises a "private pool" and "air conditioning" both are not at Hillview, property address 18B/40 Hemsley Road Yallingup. The "private pool" was the sole reason we booked here for my partners birthday, the air conditioning was neglible however you would not be comfortable at Hillview had the temperatures risen above 30. The cleanliness of Hillview in particular bathroom tiles, and grime on toilet door was appalling (pictures attached) Hillview needs a deep cleanse as an example I took a damp tissue and wiped back of toilet door to see if grime would lift and sure enough it did, there was no rubbing over this area twice it was evident vacate cleans are not carried out to any standard if at all. I was embarrased to have booked Hillview and to be lured in by the misleading description. I have taken this matter up with Bookings.com, property manager Steve at Serenity Property Management to include Consumer Protection WA. Thanks for your response Steve we felt as we had booked via Bookings.com we would then deal with Bookings.com direct. We would certainly not have wanted too further disrupt our holiday by having a walk through with yourself to discuss property to include Hillview description which is misleading, there is no "AC" and no "private pool" you yourself said via text I quote " the air con is a mystery ". You were not willing to reduce nightly rate for the two nights we did stay though out of goodwill Bookings.com did compensate. Yes we feel a rating of 1 is warranted you can't advertise a property which does not have the amenities as described, nor command high nightly rates for a property that has clearly not been cleaned between vacates.

Convenient location with an amazing view

Gutters or something similar were very noisy and annoying, all day & night! Lots of rattling due to the wind. Actually had to go out for the day to avoid that! Bathroom can really do with a renovation! Two of us had bad falls getting out off the bath/ shower in the morning due to very slippery tiles!

great location, close to wineries and shops but also nice and tucked away in the bush. wifi was amazing, better than mine at home and the tv had a bunch of streaming services which was such a nice touch. comfy beds, heaters in the bedrooms and the bathroom was great- lovely hot showers! our hosts kept in contact with us throughout our stay to ensure we had arrived ok and that all was to our liking. will definitely be back soon! oh and there’s very friendly magpies that visit in the afternoon 🥰

my tiny jellybean of a car struggled at first with the last few meters uphill to the property but it was fine after we figured out the ideal speed to tackle it with (don’t slow down when it gets steep just keep going 😂)

The peace and quiet, being surrounded by nature in the forest.

The road into the property is gravel and unsealed. I have a bad back and it was not a comfortable journey in as Hillview is at the end of the road.

Location was great, nice and quiet, easy to get to Yallingup and Dunsborough

Nothing to not like - road in requires you to pay attention and drive slowly however

Fantastic communication from the hosts, the house was well appointed with many little extras to make the stay more comfortable. Stunning views from the verandah, we thoroughly enjoyed our time at Hillview. The property is well located with many attractions only minutes away.

A little bit of paradise with gorgeous Verandah to watch the wildlife and see the sun rise and set. A very homely little place and great communication from the hosts. BBQ was a lovely inclusion and made for a beautiful Friday night dinner. Lovely location to walk through the bush safely and loved to visiting kookaburra and blue wrens

Needs some more cooking/microwave dishes and pans to make meal prep easier and would be lovely to have enough outdoor seating for 4 guests to sit comfortably together.
