Close enough to walk but far enough from downtown to not hear the noise!

I was with a college friend, and we were visiting another friend in Chico. This house was sooo nice and fit our needs perfectly. We were there fro 108 degree weather and the house remained cool and pleasant. The host -- Annie was very responsive. the location was ideal.. near to downtown. Highly recommend.

We had such a wonderful time visiting our old stomping grounds! And this property was a perfect place to take a walk down memory lane. Annie was unbelievably helpful and very quick to respond. We will definitely be back next time we are passing through!

This house was perfect location. We walked to the food coop and had breakfast across the street. We sat in the back yard for our breakfast coffee and tea. It was a great place to relax after a very structured weekend.

The house was spotless and the hosts were very responsive and friendly. A low battery alert on one of the smoke detectors our first afternoon there was addressed within 20 minutes and they checked in regularly by text with recommendations and just checking to make sure we had everything we needed. When unseasonal rain hit, the host brought umbrellas over and left them on the porch for us to use. Would definitely stay here again!

Several door knobs came off when simply pulled. The bathroom door was particularly worrisome- that we’d be trapped.
Sprinklers in front went in automatically. There’s at least one broken one- flooded the yard

The “Chico Charmer” was just that, charming! We especially liked the patio for a drink in the evening and coffee in the morning. Very clean and well kept. We also appreciated the maps and info available in the dining room - ver helpful! We would definitely stay here again.

This little house is lovely. More room than just my husband and I needed, but very comfortable. The yard has a covered patio, that was great as we could sit there out of the rain. The kitchen is fairly well appointed with cookware and tableware. Walking distance to downtown and Bidwell park.

We needed a spot near downtown Chico for a short visit. The Chico Charmer was very clean, cozy, and had everything we needed. The house was a short walk to all of downtown and Bidwell park. We will return next time we are in Chico.

Came up to visit our daughter at Chico state. This house is beautiful. Easy walk to downtown. Has a very classic old school feel in perfect condition.
Annie was great and quickly responded to any questions we had. Our daughter is a freshman so we will be coming back for a few years. This will be our go to spot. I doubt we will even look at other houses unless this one is booked.

The house is very clean and cozy. Well stocked kitchen with lots of extra touches. Comfortable beds, walking distance to town. We will definitely be back!!

This vintage home is beautiful and just what we hoped for; a comfy space while visiting our adult kids in Chico over Thanksgiving. Great location, close to everything you need, while not in the heart of it. The private outdoor space is a real plus. A bit of outdoor noise at times since the cross street is fairly high traffic, but nothing that would prevent another stay. Supplied well with towels, soap, etc. Annie was easy to communicate with and we truly had everything we needed.

A group of 6 girls stayed here for our sorority’s alumni weekend. The house is larger than the photos make it seem and it was extremely clean and had thoughtful touches. Everyone loved this place, and was an easy walk to most places. I am not sure why other guests think it was a long walk to places, but as the 6 of us went to Chico state we thought it was totally fine even in 40 degree weather. For example, the walk from this vrbo to the farthest bar, Riley’s, was less than 15 min. As well, we loved how many mirrors there were for when we were all getting ready. Would definitely stay here again!

The house is very spacious and charming! The beds were very comfortable and it had everything we needed! We will definitely stay there again. The only issue was that it was a little further from downtown than we thought, so we needed an uber to get downtown to dinner. But otherwise it is a very cute home!

We loved our stay here! The house was picture perfect right on the corner of strollable neighborhood, we took a few walks and it was so charming. The inside was great too, our family dinners were enjoyed in the perfectly lighted dining room and when it was time to get ready for our event we loved having that spacious areas around the vanity ✨

A feel good, adorable home. We walked everywhere we wanted to go from this comfortable home ( shopping— Thursday street market—Diamond Steakhouse). A charming home with comfy beds/bedding. Kind and professional host.

We had a lovely time in the city we love! We went to chico for school and enjoyed visiting. The house was clean and had beautiful features of the old charm that is Chico.

The house was beautiful inside, located walking distance to many restaurants but located with a three lane one way road to side of house. We could hear traffic inside and couldn’t enjoy back yard due to noise & unkept yard. Too much debris with spider webs & spiders. There was also an old water fountain with standing water which is breeding ground for mosquitoes.

This Chico home is so lovely, cozy and charming! Right when we walked in it, we knew it was a well loved home. It had everything we needed to feel like a home away from home. The backyard was so great in the morning to enjoy a cup of coffee and just relax. We also love the location, as we walked everywhere instead of driving. If you are in Chico, this is the perfect place to stay!

We love the Chico Charmer and hope to visit again. The neighborhood is lovely and the house is remarkable considering it’s age. Sparkling clean, well stocked with essentials (kitchen ware, condiments, paper goods. We all had things to do but I think each of us could have relaxed in the back yard for days. Walking distance to downtown. If you’re visiting Chico don’t pass this one up. You’ll love it too.

Location is epic, it’s walking distance to a lot! As 30 year olds that used to live near Ivy, this was the perfect spot to stay and be able to walk but not be in the middle of it all! Lucky to be able to enjoy all the cool features of house!

We stayed at this charming house for our daughter’s Nurse Pinning Ceremony from Chico State. We have rented a lot of houses on VRBO but this one was the best appointed house ever. Coffee, tea, creamers, sugars, oatmeal, snacks, and everything you need for cooking.
The house is darling, comfortable, and close enough to downtown to walk.

Annie, was a wonderful & hospitable host. Could not have been any easier or welcoming! The home is completely stocked and is warm & comfortable with higher end furniture & bedding in an excellent location! We absolutely loved our stay that we did not want to leave. Safe location, everything you need and more in the house and host was so quickly to communicate. There were tons of pamphlets on things to do in town if you aren't familiar with chico. Would absolutely stay again when we come back.
