Secluded & quiet! Cabin was nicely furnished very cozy.

Loved this charming cabin. The hosts have done a great job updating it so it has everything you could want, and is homey and comfortable. The spot is very private with trees all around unlike some lake properties that have all the natural growth cut down. Plus I was able to bring my little dog. We’ll be back!

My husband and I along with our maltipoo went for a short weekend getaway and it was wonderful. The house is perfect for a small family. The house had everything we needed and the Wifi was a huge plus since we had no service. We enjoyed fishing— there’s always a bite no matter where you go in the lake. The check-in process was smooth and we have no complaints. We look forward to returning.

The pictures do not do this place justice. It was the cutest cabin we've ever stayed in and we have stayed in many! The place was clean, decorated very homey, and I cook all 3 meals a day and the kitchen had almost everything we could ever have needed (a blender for salsa would be nice, but not necessary). We drove to two locations fairly close in Sipsey woods and hiked to two gorgeous waterfalls and the rest of the time canoed around the lake. It was the PERFECT spring break with my soon to be going to college kids. Hoping to visit again as we love Smith Lake and this place was the best we've stayed in so far for the size.

This is the perfect place to recharge and relax while spending time in the woods and on Smith lake. Our stay was very comfortable and we had everything we needed in the house. The dock was perfect to swim and canoe from. We will be back!

We def enjoyed our stay! We took our pups and enjoyed canoeing, and hanging out waterfront. House was peaceful and quiet, wifi worked perfectly and great communication with Jonathan! We can’t wait to be able to book again!

My family of 4 and our pup thoroughly enjoyed our time here. We brought our own kayak, although the provided canoes are a nice touch. Also loved the outdoor shower for washing the lake off. As others have said, the stairs to the lake are no joke, but great for a little extra exercise and there is a nice deck to catch your breath about half way up. No dishwasher but a nice big commercial sink for washing, and we didn’t mind. Overall great stay!

Awesome weekend that was spent simply relaxing both at the cabin and in the lake! The outside shower is a must use item while there!! Will definitely be back we hope!!

Great communication from owner. Place was perfect for small family looking for a quiet getaway on Smith Lake. Dock was great and the canoes were an added bonus. Home was well stocked and very relaxing.

We absolutely loved this stay. The house was the perfect size for the two of us and our dog Henry. Everything was in great shape and as described. Loved the canoeing!! The AC was fabulous, grill worked perfectly. Highly recommend this property.

This was exactly what our family needed! We wanted a quiet, private getaway and this cabin delivered. Communication with host was top notch. The stairs to and from the dock are a bear, but the view is worth it! Not to mention our calves are very defined… are we athletes now? Yes. Yes, we are. Truly this stay was perfect. Would certainly stay here again. **NOTE** this is a dry county. If you want to partake in alcoholic beverages pick up on your way to the rental. The nearest non-dry county is about 30 minutes away. But take it from someone who knows- they do NOT sell beer on Sundays so come prepared for a fun stay!

I had a wonderful stay at Smith Lake at this property. The owners were easy to communicate with and very hospitable. The property was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. We can’t wait to go back again! Definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a peaceful weekend on the lake.

My husband and I wanted to have a few days of peace and quiet and Scouts hideaway nailed it. It was so private and comfortable. View from dock was beautiful. Couldn’t have been a better trip. We will be renting from this host in the future! Five stars!!!

We had a wonderful time at the adorable Scout's Hideaway! Check-in was a breeze. Managers were very easy to communicate with. They even let us check in early which worked great because we had half our party coming from another area and they were about an hour ahead of us. The cabin was clean, plenty of towels and beds were comfortable. They had all the basics for cooking, which we did plenty of. Only draw back was lack of a pantry for storage of food and other supplies. They weren't kidding about the stairs to the dock! :) It was well worth the walk down to a great dock! (Actually the down was easy, it was the up that was the killer!!) We loved that we had shade and sun. Swim ladder was easy to get in and out. The canoes were a great bonus. We used them everyday and had a lot of fun checking out the surrounding area. We played card games on the kitchen table, talked in the comfortable living room and sat out on the deck in the evenings. Perfect get together locations for us. Thank you for having us!! Recommend to couples, small families or a few friends.

Long weekend kayaking and fishing on the lake. Comfortable, pretty little house. Boat ramp two lots over. No complaints at all.

This place has everything we needed for a weekend getaway. Linens, dishes and supplies were plentiful. The host was friendly and very accommodating. Lake access was beautiful! We were able to go canoeing for our family's 1st time and we loved it! Beds were comfortable, kitchen and living room was cozy and the outdoor shower was the absolute best!! We roasted marshmallows while sitting around the fire pit. It was all so nice sitting under the stars. We look forward to visiting again in the future.

The cabin is the perfect size for a family of 4. We loved relaxing on the dock and exploring in the canoes. The fire pit and grill were great for family dinner and s’mores after a day in the water. This was our first time renting a place on the lake and we loved every bit of it!

A great house on the water. Everything was very nice. Looked newly remodeled and well groomed area All the beds slept great. Enjoyed the canoes and outdoor shower. Highly recommend!
