Beautiful location, house was very nice! Needed parking permit which was never supplied even after 3 requests, but didn't get towed so okay.

Absolutely loved our stay here. The house was very comfortable with beautiful ocean views! We will be back!

A lovely beach home. So peaceful, relaxing, and well appointed. Honestly…I researched like crazy and this was THE best on Dauphin Island. We will be back! Thank you for all your kindness and attention to details. (The kitchen is stocked with everything you need.)

Very relaxing. It was a little cool and windy but we were able to make good use of the "swinging beds" on the second level! Snuggle up with a good blanket and enjoy the sound of the waves lapping onto the shore. Then the rainstorm came in and that was another sight to see! I loved watching that also! It was a wonderful few days of relaxing pleasure!

Overall we were very pleased with the house and the service at Nightingale. There were only a few minor things that we had issues with and only one thing that required contacting the owners. They were courteous and helpful and fixed the issue right away. The only reason I am giving it 4 instead of 5 stars is there are some places that need some minor updating. However, it was clean, comfortable... and you can not beat the location!

I was very disappointed when we arrived. The house was outdated with furniture. The cookware was old and rusty. The back porch was horrible. You can’t walk on it or you will have splinters. A previous review said it had been fixed. Lie. I will not stay in this house again. Oh not to mention the mouse droppings in the cabinets. Owners of you can’t use the rental money to keep the place up you may want to sell it. It was so expensive to be so disappointing.

This house was clean and in a perfect location! The beds are comfy with plenty of extra blankets and pillows. We never ran out of hot water with 7 of us taking showers. Downfalls are 1 of the rope swings and 1 of the bed swings were broken. We would stay at the Nightingale, again!

Great beachfront house with room for all.

Just finished a relaxing stay. Only a few hickups, toilet chain was broke (management did respond quickly to this issue) just didn’t work the best. Ran out of propane cooking on the grill halfway through first meal. The house was extremely comfortable we had a group of 9. All ages 9 months to 72. Location was perfect with a short walk over to the west end beach. Swimming was right out the back door

Perfect for our family (grandparents, parents, uncle, grandkids) beach vacation!!!

The house itself was great except for the cockroaches and the air conditioner (which could not be set below 72). I ran into issues with the property manager company, Vacasa. Three hours before I arrived I received a call from Vacasa saying Nightingale had no power and we were being moved to a different house (that was not directly on the beach) for that night and most of the following day. We had packed food for the entire week along with all our personal and beach items, so it was a huge inconvenience to unload, re-pack, and re-unload everything. It's also worth noting I selected the Nightingale house directly on the beach for a handicapped family member to be more involved. After explaining to Vacasa how we had essentially lost a day of the vacation I asked for a refund for just the day missed. I was offered less than a 10% refund for my trouble, which I never received.

House had roaches. No toaster. Floors were not cleaned. Cabinets need cleaned inside and out. Coffee pot doesn’t make hot coffee. Had to microwave it. Under nightstands had candy wrappers. Only 2 dish towels. No pot holders. But…love how close it is to the water and love the covered deck.

This is a perfect little beach house right on the water. The layout was spacious and roomy, and everyone could move around comfortably, even with a crowd. There is not an outdoor shower, as the listing states, just hoses outside each door to rinse off feet. There are also no beach chairs, as shown in the pictures, so bring your own chair to lounge on the beach. There are no boogie boards either. The decks are weathered, so plan to wear shoes every time you go out or get splinters. There is a coffee maker and blender in the home.

The house was a great size. Great location and easy to get to. The deck needs some repairs and leaves splinters in your feet. Babies can’t crawl in the upper deck. All in all a great stay and we would visit again.

This place is great and has everything you will need for an awesome beach vacation. The house is clean and well equipped with everything you need, the beach is right there off the deck, and the island is a great place to relax and unwind. Book this place now before someone beats you to it!!!

The layout of the home was perfect for our needs. It was nice to be able to play/relax on the beach right outside our door. The public beach was a short walk and provided beautiful views and shell hunting fun. We had everything we needed in the kitchen (stop for groceries on the way in, necessities are much more expensive on the island). Everything was clean and it was nice that there were no other homes between us and the water. The deck definitely needs some attention. Several splinters happened, and we had to wear shoes anytime we walked outside. There were no beach chairs or boogie boards as the listing states.

We had a discrepancy of what was said to be provided and what we actually found in the home; however it was quickly resolved.

The owners are hospitable by the things they leave for us to use. The kitchen has both dinning plates and patio plates full sets of each. Same with drinkware. Also found the place to be well organized and decorated. The living room lamp was a true hit in the evenings.

The swings and daybeds got a lot of use while we were there not just by the kids, but from the adults too.

Perfect location for relaxing vacation. House was perfect for our stay with plenty of room and a mere 30 feet to ocean. Hope to be back in spring
