The bathroom which smells

Nice quaint home, nicely decorated. Convenient location for seeing Obidos.

The lower washroom shower drain gave off sewer smells on and off throughout the day/night. This is completely unrelated to the facility, rather the city’s old drainage systems. Owner explained that clearly to us, so it was expected and acceptable.

Location to the inner city of Obidos was excellent. The bed was very comfortable. Air conditioning worked very well and was needed. Overall very quiet. Shower was great but could use a self on the wall on which to put soap etc. so you don't have to put your washing utensils on the floor of the shower.

I'm not crazy about trying to park and dive on extremely steep hills. Beware that the free parking is on steep inclines and if you do not feel comfortable with this then avoid this private home that has been made into a guest house! Read the fine print about payment -- ONLY cash accepted. There was a shared kitchen right outside of the door to our room. It was very uncomfortable to have people right there at your door preparing food in the kitchen. There is advertised a sitting area in a garden in the back. We check it out but his was not useable and there were dogs locked up barking at us.

Casa do Toupeiro is a perfect mix of true authenticity and modern comfort. We stayed in the family suite with 2 floors and with a nice bathroom on each floor. The beds were comfortable and very clean. The common kitchen was small but with everything, you might need. But the main bonus - is the terrace with an incredible view! It's definitely the best stay in Obidos.

Nothing

Amazing property. we had the room with a loft and terrace access. the room was super clean and a quick easy walk to the wall entrance. our view from the terrace was exceptional looking at the lit up castle walls at night and a beautiful small chapel right next door literally 40’ away. The best place we have stayed in Portugal.

Some hooks to hang some clothes, jackets would be an improvement.

this was a beautiful little spot! excellent location, right in the middle of beautiful Obidos. we loved our stay.

Everything very nice and clean. Large apartment, large terrace. Good location. Nice owner, good communication. Parking available. Fridge. Wifi working. Very nice small village, a touristic point itself (!), also a strategic location (as a distance) to visit interesting touristic objectives in the area. VERY good restaurant nearby - Jamon Jamon (the other one nearby, Book and Cook, not quite recommended)

Way too small for comfort, certainly for 3 people, two adults and a child. Beds were not comfortable and fridge needing airing. Also I would be happy to pay an extra Euro or two for a morning coffee to be provided.

The location is very close to the city walls. Room was big and cozy. Very clean.

The shared kitchen lacked a coffee machine but in a 5 min walk we found a wonderful pastelaria.

- room not ready at arrival (ready at 17:30 instead of 14:00) - not very nice after a long trip with two young kids - dogs from the house barked at 6am and did not stopped until I went to see them - we can hear guest from next room for the upstairs room - missing basic equipment like soap and garbage bag My experience was disappointing due to the above. The personnel did apologize but did not compensate anything (just offered fruits!)
