HI hostel of excellent quality right in the building of the former railway station.

The bunk beds were interconnected.

clean rooms, comfy beds and everything within an easily walkable distance.

food is a bit expensive

No lockers in the dorm rooms (not even a small one for valuables), and the self catering kitchen was very small - with just 3 people using it, it was already too full!

Perfect place to stay in Lillehammer. Will visit again.

Room size is very poor. There was no place to put stuff. Room size would be ok for 2 beds but not for 4 beds.

Obviously a fantastic location, if you don't have a car, with buses outside and ofcourse the trains! The restaurant is great for meals and and we had breakfast including which was very nice. While we were there they had 3 volunteers who had activities planned for the guests which included waffles plus walking, skiing and other winter activities if you wanted to join in; but the main thing is the had time for the guests and got everyone who wanted to to meet people chatting to each other.

They have a great room for guests where you can cook and relax which is a great asset but was very short on some essential cooking item's Also on booking.com it is advertised under two different names which is slightly misleading I think.

The best hostel in Norway. Perfect location, no noise disturbance from bus / train, delicious food for breakfast and also at the restaurant for dinner, incredibly kind and helpful staff, super comfy beds and hot showers. I wish I could have stayed longer.

I did not know it was at the station so I went around circles to I finally went into the cafe where the hostel was, a few other people told me they have the same problem would be nice if that information what's included in the message along with the parking map The ladder design is very awkward they are narrie close to the wall, are covered by the curtain and you have to climb where the person on the lower bank puts their head

Staffs are friendly and helpful. Lift access to all floors Room was clean and beds and bedding were very comfy! Toilet was spotless! Common kitchen has good facilities for cooking, although we didn't cook as we found a good sushi take away in town at the end. Very close to town.

Room is quite small, and only with 2 chairs. and a very small table. We were confused and missed the entrance / reception when we tried to find the hostel, as we thought that is a station cafe.

The location adjacent to the station was perfect for us, arriving by train and leaving by bus. I was concerned there might be train noise, but I didn't notice any and we looked out onto the tracks. The breakfast was good and available at an appropriate time. Our family room was a reasonable size for our overnight stopover and we had a room key.

Luckily there were not a lot of trains otherwise one would wake up a lot during the night
