We were visiting from New Zealand and wanted to stay close to my brother who is in Glenorchy. The location was great, Coles and Woolworths just down the road in a lovely shopping centre. Easy to get to the motorway to go to the airport and to head out to Launceston. I loved Rose Homey Home. The place was exceptionally clean and tidy with a lot of little comforts. The only extra thing that I purchased was an egg whisk but apart from that there was an excellent selection of pots and plans, rice cooker, slow cooker etc. A small suggestion is to perhaps have a BBQ available for visitors? Yvonne was lovely to deal with and very friendly and helpful. The rooms were a decent size and I loved the lounge - a real family room. The TV was large enough with excellent sound and having Netflix was a huge bonus. The wifi was excellent quality. It was also great to have 2 toilets and a laundry.

The double and queen mattresses were firm and we did not get a good nights sleep but that comes down to personal choice. I cannot fault the property apart from the matresses.

Lovely accommodation very similar to the kiwi 'bach'. I love the fact that previous visitors and the host had left some items such as salt, pepper, tea, coffee etc. Very comfortable home, very warm and welcoming. Wonderful to have strong wifi and a huge bonus to be able to connect to Netflix on the large TV. The heating is great with a great heat pump, heaters & electric blankets. Very clean and tidy in all the rooms, bathroom, kitchen etc. The kitchen is very well kitted out with a lot of appliances and cutlery. More than enough crockery. I love the gardens with beautiful flowers and some herbs out back. Loved our stay here and if we return to Tasmania, I will book in here again.

There was a queen bed in the main room and a double bed in the 2nd room. The mattresses were exceptionally hard and I really struggled to sleep on them, felt like my hips were bruised the next day. The double bed in the 2nd room is pretty small and the duvet cover barely stretches over two people. I am sure that a lot of people prefer harder mattresses though so this is not a complaint, just something that we did not like.

The host was very welcoming and ensured that we had everything we needed. We had a great stay and recommend Rose Homey Home. We will be happy to stay again.

Everything was wonderful.

Very clean, cooking utilities are very clean and good. Host left a bottle of milk and Bread for us which really helped us.

Very impressed by the beautiful soft carpets, lovely and comfortable beds, good that it had heating in the bedroom which circulated through to the other rooms. The views from the loungeroom were good and the communication to and from our host was great.

Nothing let us down
