We had a great time at this beautiful old home in the French Quarter. The balconies are great for a meal, hanging out and people watching. The courtyard is also a great hang out and relax spot. My husband loves to cook on vacation and the kitchen is great. We had a fabulous time here! The only disappointments were that the jacuzzi tub was not working and a table on the balcony was missing its top. (We found a creative remedy for that with very little effort, though!) Overall, we loved this place!!

This time around we brought a big float, and anchored in the middle of the river - we didn't see another person for hours! I cannot rave enough about the peace this place has to offer, not to mention private river access, and a cute (and cold/fabulous AC) cabin to go back to when the water adventures are done. This is truly a one-of-a-kind find, and I look forward to going back again & again.

This home is in an excellent location overall. On Bourbon and also close to French Market and Marigny. There is a deli downstairs with the basics and sandwiches. The courtyard and balconies were great. The street noise level was still there but less than a few blocks down Bourbon. Unfortunately there was a reconstruction process in the deli so the noise level was pretty annoying for 2 days. They did stop the overnight construction when they heard we were staying upstairs - very courteous :) Overall it was charming place with great neighbors and close to everything in the French Quarter!

Best Location!
We stayed her with another couple and had the time of our lives. This location could not have been more perfect. It is far enough down Bourbon to not be crazy loud l night. But still close enough to people watch from the balcony all night long. It is perfectly situation for an easy walk to the French Martket on Decatur, to Frenchman St, or to head up Bourbon St or Royal. Also only a few minute walk to Jackson Square.
The property was located above a 24 hour convenient store/deli, which was great. We were able to pick up sandwiches on the way home from bars at any hour of the night.
Courtyard was awesome, along with the garage bar. Highly recommend this place and will definitely stay there again next time I go.

Awesome Trip
We love New Orleans and this was a great way to enjoy the French Quarter. Location was central to tons of shopping and dinning. A beautiful property with so much character. Thanks for sharing it with us and letting us create great memories.

We had a stressful problem with this trip. The entrance to the property had a broken lock one night and without the help of a local tenant who heard our struggling, we would not have been able to get in. The next night we were gone all day, to return at 1130 pm and find that the lock had been replaced but that the code we had been given no longer worked. We were in a situation with almost no cell phone battery and no way to get into the unit. We contacted the owner via email not knowing whether she would even receive it at such a late hour. She did respond in about 15 minutes with a new code but did not offer an apology for changing the code without telling us.
Obviously any stay in the French Qtr will be noisy, but if you stay here you should expect a lot of noise from the deli below which serves breakfast starting at 2:00am. You will want to have a sound machine and/or earplugs.

5 stars are not enough!
If you are considering renting this property just go ahead and stop looking any further, this place is absolutely stunning! My friend and I just spent a few days there this past week and were blown away by how beautiful it truly is. We spent hours just ogling the furniture and fixtures. To say the décor is beautiful is not simply enough-it is stunning! The location cannot be beat. It is on Bourbon Street with a great balcony for late night people watching but it is far enough out of the mayhem that you do not have to contend with the noise. It has a real neighborhood feel and you can tell that most of the surrounding places are lived in by locals who know each other well and always have a friendly wave for each other. I am already trying to figure out when I can book my next trip to New Orleans and, when I do, I will not even bother looking for anywhere else to call home. Thanks to the owners for the amazing and unforgettable opportunity to stay here!

Amazing in every way
Beyond my expectations for a true New Orleans experience. Neighbors and owner so warm and friendly only added to it's charm. Truly great!

We are returning home from a fantastic week in New Orleans. The character, comfort and convenience of this rental were a big part of a memorable trip. My family, including a 10-year-old and a 15-year-old, found this to be a perfect base for our week. The condo above the Quartermaster Deli is very old (The Oldest Creole Cottage in the French Quarter) and full of charm just like the city itself. It is clean, fully stocked, with ample space for the four of us. We enjoyed watching weddings come down the north end of Bourbon Street from the balcony. One day, during a afternoon “break” we were surprised by a local Junior High Marching Band coming up the street. Beds are comfortable, noise is a non-issue. Convenience is key for us, and we were able to walk to everything. Restaurants, shopping, tours (including a fantastic bike tour to the Garden District), streetcars to get just about anywhere (City Park, Oak Street), French Market, Frenchman Street, Jackson Square, The Treme, Armstrong Park...almost everthing was in walking distance or a short streetcar ride. The kitchen in the unit seemed pretty well stocked, but we really didn’t use it much...too many good local restaurants. If wondering about Bourbon Street with kids, the unit is at the “quiet” (relative) end of the party. If you want the scene of the Bourbon Street party it’s there.... If you don’t, it’s easy to walk around it. That said the kids enjoyed all of it. This was a perfect one-of-a-kind home for a week in a one-of-a-kind city. My only word of caution is that the car bar, while fantastic, is a car bar.... We were able to stuff a Honda Oddysey into it it’s some difficulty, but it’s probably more suited to a Mini.
A fantastic stay. My krewe is looking forward to another visit, and we’d stay here again. Prondre du bon temps.

Beautiful setting. Historical and perfect for a get away
Perfect distance from EVERYTHING. Off street parking makes it worth the price.

Wonderful French Quarter home
Spent a long Thanksgiving holiday weekend in NOLA with my wife & adult daughter. This property is in a great location. Just a couple blocks from all the action and restaurants, and just far enough away to avoid most of the late-night noise. Having a garage was a huge plus. The house itself is fantastic. It's a cozy little slice of history. So much more interesting than the hotels I have stayed in on my previous trips here.
Booking, check-in & check-out could not have been any easier. The owners were very quick to respond to questions. This is a place we hope to come back to time and again.

French Quarter Gem
Thank You Dana and Ron for opening your gorgeous French Quarter home to us on our recent stay in New Orleans. My husband and I have been to the city three times before and have stayed in some great places but this was by far- THE BEST!!! This time we were traveling with great friends and wanted a perfect location that really embraced the personality of the city. This certainly hit all of the bells- location truly cannot be beat. Right on Bourbon close enough to be near the revelry but far enough to avoid the noise and get a restful night of sleep. The home is built in the early half of the 1800's (1820's I think I recall) and really has a unique and gorgeous character embodying all of the wonderful architecture of its time while still providing the modern conveniences that make this home such a pleasure to enjoy as home base. The bathrooms are a great size- very important update that we truly appreciated:) The car bar was an awesome place that we didn't get a chance to enjoy since we were on the go but would have been great to watch half of a Saints game there :-) Kitchen was great and well- appointed although the Quartermaster deli provided some delightful eats and CC's had awesome coffee so we only stored bevs in the fridge- why would I make my breakfast in a city with SOOOO much food to offer!!!! The residence has no laundry inside but not to worry- "Suds Dem Duds" is right across the street and did a great job, my laundry was even gift wrapped- No Joke! The courtyard was charming with the foliage and tranquil sound of the fountain upon entry and exit of the space.
What more can I say- you will not be making a mistake if you book this beautiful and well-preserved home from Dana and Ron- Truly Spectacular- a Million Thanks!!!

So much charm!
Dana has been a wonderful host for our trip. This is a MUST stay place!!! The decor and layout are so amazing. We stayed with a party of 6 women and it was great that 2 full bathrooms were available. The courtyard is breathtaking and all the balcony’s are a fun perk. There is a one car garage....... yes a garage ...(RARE)
Hands down one of the best places and we were lucky enough to have stayed there!!

Perfect place to stay to enjoy New Orleans!
This was the second time we stayed at this property. We could not have had a better experience and time celebrating my wife’s birthday. Dana was/is incredible. Very helpful and quick to respond to questions. We look forward to the next time we can come to NOLA and stay at this amazing place!

Loved this place! So authentic and conveniently located!
I rented this place for my 30th birthday with a few friends and it was fantastic. Beautiful furniture and such comfy beds. The balconies were my favorite part though. You are right off Bourbon St, so we didn't need an Uber because we were so close to everything we wanted to see. Check in and out was a complete breeze and I would highly recommend staying here. When I visit NOLA again, this will be the first place I look to stay.

Great place to stay
Nice clean place, very very good location in the french quarter. Far enought away from the noise where you can sit on the balcony and enjoy the city.

Perfect spot as advertised
Really easy check in and check out process. Perfect location, clean, comfortable and everything was in working order. I got great reviews from the others in my group.

The property was beautiful and so unique. Perfectly located to experience the excitement of the city off one of the many balconies but just far enough from the craziness to relax. The courtyard was such a fun place to relax after coming back. The convenience of the garage was amazing!!! We have been to New Orleans 5 times and this was our favorite place! We would love to stay again in the future. We even found a picture of the actual cottage on a tile in one of the shops......so fun!!!

Your place is so pretty we loved everything about it. Was really nice being walking distance to everything. Was a little Loud on streets between 2 and 4 but that’s expected it’s Bourbon Street. Would definitely recommend this place
4.8
As described. Large and comfortable with nice courtyard and balconies.
It is an old building and doors stick etc. Even though in the residential part of the Quarter it was a bit noisy at night; from our view just part of the experience, but some people might wish to take a sound machine with them. I recommend this property for what it is... a real home (second floor) in the French Quarter.
4.8
Between the location and the amenities and the host this place is awesome!
We loved the spaciousness and comfort of this amazing property!
(The only thing I’d suggest is light sleepers might want to bring earplugs in case there’s late nighters walking about and frequenting the 24 hour corner store.)
We are grateful for our experience! Dana was very responsive to our few questions.
Love this place!

Our experience in New Orleans was fun as always but staying at this property made it so much more personal and private . We would definitely recommend it to others as well as plan on staying there again in the future .

I booked this beautiful historic home for a girls 50th Birthday weekend. The pictures on line did not due justice to your beautiful home. I was nervous about getting in to the home with no key and just a code. NOT a problem!! When we arrived, we parked our car in the garage, which was nice as the car wasn't on the street all weekend. When we opened the gate into the courtyard, it was if we went back in time to 1853 when the home was built. We climbed the stairs and were amazed with how well kept, how quaint and lovely it was decorated. While we did hang out a bit in the Quarter, our favorite place to sit, drink and take in the Quarter were the balconies. There were six of us women and we were all very comfortable. Your neighbors invited us to a Saints party, but we had to leave and were unable to stay. Great people - Great neighborhood. Your beautiful home totally made the trip perfect! Thank you for allowing us to visit your home. We WILL DEFINITELY stay with you again!! THANK YOU!!

My wife and I, along with another couple had a very relaxing, and of course partying time while in New Orleans for a few days and this house made it even more perfect. It's very roomy with two bed rooms with queen size beds and two bathrooms. The balcony and court yard was great. Although we didn't use the garage bar, it looked fantastic. There is a small grocery store within a few steps of the front door which allowed us to get mixers without walking several blocks. The neighbors are very friendly and enjoyable to talk to. I highly recommend staying here, as I will on my next trip to NOLA.

The location is great ... one block from lafittes. That said was awakened by a loud tv at 3 am ... it was dark and difficult to get on patios because doors were stuck. The shutters were falling apart. No instructions for tv with 3 remotes.... watched shows on our iPads. Defiantly seemed local and authentic
4.8
The house is well appointed so you feel like you're staying in New Orleans and not some random hotel/AirBnB that could be anywhere. And it's clean.
The balconies are good for people watching.
The hosts are excellent communicators, caring people and very straightforward to work with, couldn't ask for anything more there.
The location is perfect if you're looking for a spot where you can sleep peacefully even though you are only three blocks from the main crazy on Bourbon Street. Super convenient for getting home after an excellent night of adventures.
We had five guys, worked out really well. Next time I come to New Orleans I'd skip the search and just stay here again. :)

I've been to New Orleans 10 times and this rental made for my most memorable experience. Very conducive for a work trip or pleasure.
4.8
Oh my god! Arguably the coolest place I have ever stayed in! Just the right distance from town and the house is absolutely beautiful. It's safe to say this place is nothing short of spectacular! The owners also have a phenominal response time to any questions you may have while staying there!
4.8
We had a great Jazzfest visit and being able to come back to our 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms (4 women) was fabulous. We loved the people watching from our 2 balconies. It was far enough from the busy part of Bourbon Street, but still active enough that there was always a "people parade". This visit will make it hard for us to return to staying at hotels in New Orleans! Thank you.
4.8
Place was great for us. What started out as 4 then became 5 and was fine. 2 bathrooms bonus with all girls. Courtyard was beautiful but we didn't use that or the bar. Balcony on Bourbon was our most used one.
4.8
This place really was perfect. It was beautifully decorated while keeping that old NOLA feel. The 24 hour store underneath was convenience and very entertaining. The location was close to everything, we walked everywhere, yet not in the center of the most crowded part of Bourbon Street. The owners were very responsive to requests, the tenants were very friendly. Our group had a great time at Jazz Fest and part of the reason is that we had this rental. Would highly recommend this place!
4.8
We loved the property.
Between the location, the courtyard, the balconies, and the "car bar" in the converted garage, the property gave us a full sense of the New Orleans French Quarter experience.
In addition, the small grocery store/grill below us came in really handy for any little items that we needed, as well as a bite to eat if we didn't feel like going into the French Quarter for dinner or cooking it ourselves.
