We came to Idyllwild from San Diego to enjoy some winter weather. We stayed mainly indoors with some forays into the backyard to enjoy the snow and the creek. We didn’t mind barely leaving the property since the cabin is so cozy and had just about everything you needed. The proprietor was easy to communicate with and very responsive. We would definitely stay here again.

If you're looking for a classic mountain escape experience, this is it. Surrounded by forest and adjacent to a creek, it felt like our family was alone in the forest. What's equally amazing, though, is how conveniently located this quiet and seemingly remote location is to restaurants and shops. The house is stunning. Large, beautifully appointed and comfortable. We had so much fun playing tabletop shuffleboard that we're in the process of buying one for our own home. The living room and dining room are exceptionally lovely. In short, you'd be crazy NOT to make this the place you stay in Idyllwild!

Top to bottom a wonderful mountain get-away. Nestled in the trees, close to town, hiking, etc... couldn't ask for more.

We have stayed at many properties over the years and IdyllLodge, by far, was the best! The home has everything you could possibly think of and more and is exactly as described. We wanted to avoid airports and escape the heat, so we decided on a local trip to the mountains. Driving up to the home, the pictures did not do justice, it is gorgeous. As we unpacked, we suddenly heard the rush of Strawberry Creek right out the back door of the property—what a treat. We had coffee here daily and a creekside picnic. Getting used to the altitude took a day, so we took a light hike into town along the creek for residents. After a rest day, we ventured out to Devils Slide Trail. This is moderately strenuous, so make sure to bring plenty of water. We gratefully used the Forest Adventure pass provided. After an afternoon of hiking, we relaxed in the crystal clear hot tub that was so easy to use—a perfect 101 degrees. As we wound down in the tub, a cool afternoon shower rained down on us. There is plenty of space all over the house to spread out. The kitchen is spacious and is great for entertaining. There are 3 sliding doors to the balcony and grill area. The view off the balcony is so peaceful; we read, grilled and did yoga on this beautiful balcony with a view. Thank you Erin and Kelly for responding so quickly not our questions and inquiries and making check-in a breeze. The instructions were easy and covered all that we needed for our stay. IdyllLodge is our new favorite local vacation!

This property has every amenity that one can think of. A huge bonus is its proximity to town. The location is very quiet and serene. It’s a wonderful get away accommodation. I will stay here again.

Beautiful, spacious property, with Strawberry Creek located right in the backyard. We had a very small group, 4 adults, but would work great for large families, as there is a lot of room in this house. The kitchen is very organized, with everything labeled. Has a large refirgerator and seperate freezer. Downstairs has a large laundry room, half bath and a master bedroom with walk in closet, full bathroom and jacuzzi tub. Upstairs loft with shuffleboard table, office space and two bedrooms with bathrooms. Outside has a very nice deck with patio furniture to sit and relax, and look at the beautiful views. Also has a nice spa. Walking distance to town, or a short drive. The property managers were quick to respond with any questions we had and were very easy to deal with. Would recommend this property. It will not disappoint!

Two seniors seeking a quiet, romantic and private getaway; this property did not disappoint. From our initial inquiry through check-out, we had a first-rate experience. Erin and Kelly were responsive and provided clear instructions/communication. This well-maintained, large home is lovely with patio/deck views of lush trees and nightly stars. Wonderful new jacuzzi- very nice for the chilly evenings. The bed/pillows were very comfortable- five star hotel quality. Town was close by but we mostly stuck around the house reading and enjoying a puzzle (never even turned on the Telly). Can’t wait to book our next stay!

We had a wonderful time in this beautiful cabin! It was spacious and secluded. The hosts were great. This is a wonderful gem! Highly recommend this gem for a mountain getaway! We hope to come back soon!
