Our family of seven enjoyed our seven-day stay at Creekside Retreat in Rockaway Beach for Thanksgiving. The home had enough space to spread out, relax, and cook our Thanksgiving meal. The kitchen was well-stocked with cooking dishes and utensils. All three bedrooms were comfortable, spacious, and private. The two bathrooms upstairs were large, and the powder room on the first floor was great. Having access to a washer and dryer were very appreciated. We enjoyed using the hot tub and hearing the babbling creek. The home was close enough to the beach and restaurants in town that we could walk in ten minutes or easily drive. During the high season, I’m sure the home’s distance from 101 would be appreciated to be away from the traffic of the highway. We also explored the other towns north and south of Rockaway Beach, which were easy to get to and fun to experience. Some suggestions for improvements to the home include fixing leaking fixtures in the larger upstairs bathroom, adding handrails to outdoor stairs, and adding more space for food storage in the kitchen.

This lovely home tucked back into Rockaway is absolutely beautiful! The cozy backyard sits right in front of a beautiful creek . It was very relaxing . We loved the dog beds but I'd say our two pups loved them more. Aside from the terrible stiff mattress. This has been my favorite place to stay

This rental was very spacious, clean and close to Rockaway Beach! Also good location overall to put you close to other beaches and hikes in the area.

Property was great for our family! Easy access to beach and lots of room for us to be together while at house. Property was clean, and hot tub was great. Kitchen had everything we needed to make meals, and bedrooms/bathrooms were large and gave plenty of room. Will book again.

Really nice updated kitchen with most anything you need. Quite neighborhood. Our only complaint was the design of the upstairs. There is a “jack-n-Jill” bathroom connecting what appears to be two master bedrooms. It’s not a big deal if you’re traveling with family or close friends, but just a strange design. Also, the cover to the hot tub is dented inwards like if someone fell onto it. Also, the house is definitely not walking distance to the beach.

The property was just as advertised. It is a comfortable relaxing house with great design.The little creek right besides the house is an added bonus open the window and go to sleep with the relaxing sound of the water!

Furniture was cheaply made and half broken. Hot tub did not work. Did not realize it was so close to other houses. There was kids and people that you can hear all around.

We loved everything about the house. It was clean, stocked with all the essentials and a lot bigger than the pictures show! Highly recommend! The hot tub by the creek was my favorite part!

The layout of the house was perfect for gathering our family to spend quality time together. It had a great indoor outdoor space for hanging out. Having just a short walk from a quiet and nice neighborhood to the beach and town was convenient. On the other hand, we were very disappointed with a dirty house and lack of supplies to get us through 4 nights for a party of 7. I’ve stayed at multiple vacation rentals and I do my research before making a reservation. The reviews and pictures did not line up with our experience. We received a text that we could check in a couple of hours early, and I feel like those extra hours could have been used to detail clean the house and make sure the basics were well stocked. When we pulled up in the driveway, we noticed outside of the home had layers of cobwebs and dirt - it wasn’t a good first impression. When we walked in the front door, the light fixtures hanging above the island had caked on layers of dirt. The layers of dust didn’t just appear since the last cleaning - they haven’t been cleaned for a very long time. The patio chairs near the hot tub held pools of water and leaves (it didn’t rain before our arrival). The back deck just looked dirty (yes, we understand it’s an outside space - the table next to the fireplace can be cleaned and the deck/rug can be swept for a fresh look). Our first night, we had to clean dirty serving dishes and measuring cups that were stored in the kitchen before we could prepare our dinner - the casserole dish had stuck on crusty food and the measuring cups had old cooking oil on the inside. There was a pubic hair on top of a toilet lid upstairs. There was hair and dust behind the master room bathroom door. The towels around the home were damp upon arrival - it was not a good experience drying hands with damp towels. Speaking of towels, the towels had a musty smell in the bathrooms after showers. We were also given ONE dish drying towel and ONE kitchen hand towel for 4 nights. We ended up using bathroom hand towels and washcloths in the kitchen. We only had access to a few dishwasher cleaning detergent tabs, 3 kitchen garbage bags, and 2 rolls of back up toilet paper for our long weekend. We asked a family member to bring extra kitchen and bathroom supplies to finish our weekend. Thank goodness we brought our own salt to cook our food because the few tablespoons left in the cupboard wasn’t enough for our party of 7 for 4 nights and 3 days as we made all of our meals. I wish we would have packed a cheese grater for taco night instead of assuming there would be one available to use in the kitchen. The carpet was stained and it felt like there wasn’t any padding underneath. The pictures on the website look good, but our experience didn’t match. I have to add that Vacasa was very prompt checking in with us and did a good job communicating with us as we shared some of our experience the first night. They forwarded our concerns and observations to the relevant department They mentioned the local staff was notified for the next course of action. I was impressed with their response time and genuine care. We had a great time in the home - great memories were created. I just would have expected a rental home to be detailed cleaned and well stocked. We will not be returning to this home.

This home has everything you need. It is welcoming and relaxing! Open, intimate space, but with enough room for everyone to spread out and have their own space. The covered porch with fireplace, and covered hot tub were amazing! Especially with the sound of the creek babbling away beside us. The kitchen is well stocked for all of your cooking needs and easy to keep clean and organized. The whole weekend we kept finding little things that we just loved about the house. We just left and already can’t wait to go back! Highly recommend!

Very nice home with a great location next to a bubbling creek! We had a nice and relaxing week in this clean and large house. The only thing that we found wrong was that the BBQ grill was not working properly (possible regulator problem?).

Our stay at the Creekside retreat was amazing. The place was cleaned from top to bottom and the hosts provided us with lots of amenities! This is a wonderful place for a group of people to hang out and relax. We made use of everything this house had to offer! The only downside I would say is that it was far too windy for an outdoor fire in the fireplace or fire pit and a panel on the gazebo covering the hot tub did blow off due to high winds, but overall a great place to stay and we will definitely be back!

We loved this house! The house was well designed and open with comfy seating. The hot tub and outdoor area was by a pleasant little creek. Great place and we would visit again.

We loved the home, surroundings, and amenities, however the king bed mattress was soft and lumpy and we woke with back ache every morning. We couldn’t get the drip coffee machine to work, many of the dishes were dirty (cutlery, pans) and there were insufficient cleaning supplies (kitchen cloth for wiping counters, scrubby to hand wash dishes). We tried to bbq on our last night but it seems the propane tank is running out of gas because the food was nowhere near cooked after half an hour so we had to use the oven grill. Pretty annoying to have to deal with hassles while on vacation. I expected more attention to detail considering the price we paid for our stay.

Great house and property. Interior was very clean and well stocked, with comfy beds and lots of room. Yard was beautiful and very relaxing with the hammocks and hot tub. Had 3 kids and the grandparents with us and we all enjoyed the house and proximity to the beach. Easy walking distance to beach and shops. Quiet neighborhood as well with lots of wildlife. Highly recommend!

Amazing house, location, covered deck was fantastic on a rainy weekend and so was the hot tub. What really made this house special was the small creek running right behind the house and going to sleep at night to the sounds of babbling water. The grass needed to be mowed in order to use the fire pit, but overall, this was a perfect spot!

Even in gloomy weather, this spacious and comfy home lifts the spirit with many beautiful details. Inside and outside are designed for having a great time, whatever your mood. It is clean, well equipt, and convenient, with a short walk directly down to Rockaway Beach. If you have kids or pets, don't miss the park on the way to the beach. If you have lots of friends there is plenty of seating, kitchen gear, and space for the whole group. Have fun if you get to rent this home. I loved it.

overall good, limited cleaning items, i.e. laundry soap, kitchen supplies, bathroom was not that clean, sugar ants all over kitchen and other areas.

We loved how comfortable the beach house is. It was a cool weekend but we cooked, relaxed, and enjoyed the hot tub! It was just a short walk to the beach and nearby shops and restaurants. We had everything we needed!

This Vacasa Property has everything and more. It’s clean, well organized and very comfortable for a family getaway. Rockaway Beach is a 15 minute walk away, you can stop to get a coffee on the way. The covered hot tub & backyard fire place we’re great for rainy nights. I recommend this property.

The pictures are fabulous and the house is even better in real life! Huge kitchen with new appliances, comfy and quiet bedrooms and a very cozy living room. We loved the outdoor jacuzzi and laundry room. House is in a nice neighborhood 1/2 mile from the beach with a little creek in the back yard. Would definitely stay there again!
