This VRBO exceeded our expectations. It was so unique and well built. The craftmanshift was amazing and the view from the top was beautiful and oh so peaceful. The kids loved the paddle boats and kayaks. It was hard to leave. Donna and Dean were great hosts and responded quickly to our needs.

Had a great time … lots of exploring room to sleep and visit. Watched a movie together .. great eating spaces … fabulous

We Celebrated our 30th Wedding Anniversary in the Lighthouse. Everything exceeded our expectations. Quiet secluded location. Hats off to the owners who built it...you have to see it first hand to really appreciate the craftsmanship of this build. Nice private lake access to boot.

Our family has been to the treehouse two times before and the kids were excited to check the lighthouse out. It was an amazing experience with great views!! Just love how it feels secluded like your very own resort. Fun atmosphere with amazing craftsmanship. We had to contact owners about a tree going down by the lake shore and they were great with checking in with us and fixing the problem so we could enjoy the paddleboat. The owners have always been so welcoming and very nice when we visited. Definitely recommend both the tree house and lighthouse to everyone 😊 Both are very fun and cool experiences for kids and adults! Cool to be able to say you slept in a lighthouse and/or a treehouse!

We booked the lighthouse for our 14th wedding anniversary. It was perfect! We loved how secluded and peaceful it was. We both didn’t want to leave! We will definitely book again, next time make it a family trip.

We had a wonderful weekend at this beautiful lighthouse. My husband spent a lot of time admiring all of the beautiful woodwork. It is a great mix of getting away while not being completely cut off from the world. We look forward to making a return trip!!!

The Stoney Ridge Lighthouse was an awesome experience! The accommodations were inclusive. The kitchen included dish cloths, dish towels, dish soap, and dishwasher soap. The appliances were great. The bathrooms included hand soap and towels for both hand and bath. Extra towels were provided for the hot tub that was awesome too. The table that seats 12 is awesome. The light switches are nicely labeled. The architecture of the building is amazing! The building is built solid with many large beams. The decorations created with the wood and in the wood is beautiful. Staying at the Stoney Ridge Lighthouse and seeing the workmanship is an experience we will remember.

This place was so clean, accessible and very unique! ! In a very quiet secluded area. Enjoyed a girls weekend. Hope to venture back with my family sometime.

We had a girls weekend here, mainly to escape and enjoy a hot tub. It is definitely out in the woods. Very, very limited cell service, but they had reasonably fast WiFi we could all connect to. It was such a neat place to stay. Plenty of space for the 6 of us! A huge table on the main floor, three bathrooms throughout and beautiful views (even in March). We had a few minor issues and the owners were quick to respond and come fix. Owners are located on the property, within view, but are very respectful of privacy. Nice outdoor area/ hot tub and 7 levels of beauty. There is a mixture of kitchen tools on site and an outdoor grill. We will definitely book again!

This property is absolutely incredible. We stay from Friday to Sunday and wish we could have added more time. We’ve never stayed at a VRBO where the actual version of the property is BETTER than the photos until we stayed at the Lighthouse. We were constantly in awe of the care and craftsmanship it took to make this place. We spent the majority of the time in the top room with the circle windows chatting, playing some games, and marveling at the beauty of the lighthouse and property beyond. We are already looking at a calendar to figure out when we can be back. Thank you so much for a weekend beyond our expectations!

The lighthouse is one of three houses that sit on a 50-acre wooded property in central Minnesota, so you have plenty of privacy. There is also a small lake with a canoe, 2 kayaks, a paddle boat and a fire ring for guests to use, as well as an 8-person hot tub. The lighthouse itself is incredible. It has five furnished floors 1st floor--kitchen, bedroom & bathroom 2nd floor--living room with an additional bed 3rd floor--bedroom and bathroom 4th floor--bedroom and bathroom 5th floor--seating room with a unique table made from a tree stump and additional seating 6th floor--beacon (Yes--it works!) room with two chairs & small end-table and a wrap-around deck with a metal spiral staircase leading to the very top of the lighthouse, where there is a picnic table The owner did all of the woodworking throughout the house and it is absolutely beautiful! The attention to detail is fantastic--we have never seen such a large kitchen table! A friend of theirs did all of the tiled floors. The kitchen floor is beautiful with a tiled compass in the middle and it is heated, which was fantastic since we arrived when the temperature outside was below zero. The lighthouse was extremely clean and had plenty of kitchen items--pots and pans, silverware, plates, glassware. There was a basket of bath towels in each bedroom, as well as hand towels in each bathroom. If you are looking for a fun, unique, experience, look no further--you will not be disappointed!

Wow, I think it was even better in person than the pictures! What a cool and different getaway place. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. The detail put into building the lighthouse is amazing and it was very clean, you can tell they care a lot about this property and it’s so great they want to share it with others! This property is a must-see. The engineering and construction are so cool, with so many interesting details and loving touches. And the place is spotless! We stayed in winter, so just enjoyed the hot tub as far as the outside goes (obviously didn't go on the lake, etc), but it was a lovely stay. Note that the kitchen has cooking utensils and cookware, but no oil, coffee, etc, so bring your own. Also no hair dryer. Not any kind of deal breaker, but good to know in advance to bring your own. There are a couple local bar/restaurants about 8 and 12 minutes drive, and a nice market with great meats about 8 minutes drive as well at Paul & Kathys. I would def stay again.

My family had a great time at this cabin for our Christmas getaway. Although we expected snow over rain, that was ok! It is a very unique and beautiful place. The pictures do it no justice. It had everything we needed and just felt so cozy and home-like. I enjoyed reading the book on how this place was built, makes a person appreciate it that much more. I totally will recommend this place to others. Thank you!!

We loved the lighthouse and our stay here. The entire place was clean. All the different floors gave much to explore. Loved the hot tub and walks in the woods! Will stay again.

A group of friends and I wanted a relaxing place to stay for a long weekend. The pictures of the lighthouse looked like exactly what we wanted. I've been to some rentals where the pics are staged to make the place look much nicer than it actually is. THIS PLACE IS NOT LIKE THAT. IT IS AMAZING. The pics don't even do the property justice. It's beautiful. The owners were so responsive. It made for such an easy and enjoyable rental. I can't recommend enough. Our group will be back!

This was, hands down, the coolest and most unique place we have ever stayed at. The amount of thought and work that went into designing and building the lighthouse is astounding. And the property that it resides on is so private and beautiful and serene (including the private lake, where you are surrounded by nothing but wildlife). There is literally nothing more we could have asked for. We had a perfect time and will absolutely be staying again in the future

Lighthouse is in a private, peaceful setting. The structure has beautiful craftsmanship and architecture. One the best properties we have ever stayed at.

This place is incredible in so many ways. Starting with the location of beautiful northern Minnesota woodlands to the magnificent craftsmanship throughout the lighthouse and finally to the beautiful 360-degree views from the crow’s nest. This place was well supplied, and all the furnishings, amenities and activities were of first-rate quality. It was perfectly maintained and super-clean. Each bedroom had a full private bath. The views were spectacular, and we even got to see the Northern Lights! Thank you for sharing this wonderful place. We can’t wait to return and share this amazing place with others.
