Perfect place for the two of us! We did a five-day bike rental from In the Elements, and it was easy to hop on the Blue Star/Beeline trail to Holland or ride the other way to Douglas. We ate at The Southerner next door two times and grilled at the cottage twice. Downtown restaurants are an easy walk, but we highly recommend Pennyroyal Cafe on Blue Star and Farmhouse Deli in Douglas.

We absolutely loved our stay in this adorable little cottage. We have visited the southerner everytime we came to Saugatuck and staying right next door was such a special treat. It’s just a quick walk to downtown. Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back and stay here again.

This was the cutest little place I've ever stayed in. As you can tell from the listing, it's small but it's laid out so well that you barely notice. It had everything we needed and we even used the grill with great success. It's a short walk to downtown Saugatuck and very close to the river. Highly recommended!

Was an amazing cottage to stay for the two of us and the dog. Very evident that they are trying to make guests have the best stay possible. Great location. Very nice amenities and already looking forward to next stay there. Won’t be disappointed

We decided to visit Saugatuck for a few days (it had been many years since we had been there). We wanted a place with great reviews that allowed our sweet golden retriever to accompany us. This place surpassed our expectations! This property is immaculate and was very tastefully appointed inside. The location was perfect, both to get to downtown as well as to a beautiful inter urban trail (Mildred Peterson Nature Preserve) nearby for nature ( and dog) walking.

The house was perfect for a short stay in Saugatuck. We were able to walk to downtown where our dog Chara loved the walks along the dock of the Kalamazoo river. We also enjoyed ice cream at Kilwins and coffee at Uncommon Grounds. Also, we loved the hiking trails at Saugatuck Dunes State Park which is just a short drive away. This place is perfect for a couple with a dog. Thanks for such a nice dog friendly space.

Very clean and well appointed. Perfect size for the two of us. Host was very nice. Bed was comfy. Loved how lights and TV instructions were all labeled. Loved the vanity mirror, too. Nice touch! Thank you!

We had a fantastic experience staying at The Roost! The space is updated and modern with all of the comforts of home. Our hostess Amy was kind and communicative. We would certainly return next time we come to town.

Truly excellent! Beautiful property! Nice walking distance to downtown. Located next to a parking lot, as was accurately described in the listing information. The description stated that the parking lot can sometimes be loud. But for our stay it was not, it was actually quite peaceful. We had a wonderful time!

Perfect for a couple. Shares parking lot with one of our favorite restaurants. Small, but has everything needed for a few nights. Close enough to downtown, 5 to 10 minute walk.

Was a great place to stay and get away. The unit was great and had everything we needed and were pleasantly surprised by the nice fireplace - which came in handy with the chilly weather. Location was great and we had nice time exploring downtown Saugatuck and Douglas and visited the state park as well as having a great dinner right next door at “the Southerner”. Looking forward to coming back again

The Roost was a cute, cozy, and well appointed cottage that was perfect for my husband, our dog, and me. Being right next to The Southener is a huge bonus! And we loved the heated bathroom floor!
We’ll be back to use the great outdoor space when it’s warmer. And we already recommended it to our son-in-law and he booked it.

We absolutely loved the Roost! It had everything we needed for our little get away. It was clean, cute, and comfortable. We loved that it was next to the Southerner. We did not have any issues with noise or lights. Would definitely recommend this cottage to anyone looking to stay in the Saugatuck area. Also, try the Southerner. The food was great.

Nice small and cozy cabin. My wife and I drove from Chicago and left much later than anticipated, arriving at the cottage after midnight. We prepared some food groceries that we had brought. Very convenient stock of pots and pans
and cooking utensils. The cottage was warm and well lit. Where we had issues was with the cleanliness of the bedding. Fortunately, there was
a small washer and dryer with a stock of cleaning supplies on the premises which permitted us to
wash the bed linens and bed spread covering.
We did manage to have a pleasant stay despite this and reported the incident to the owner.

This was a great place for our weekend getaway! Perfect size for a single person or a couple, and a beautiful location on the marina. A quick walk to downtown Saugatuck and it’s scenic waterfront, art shops, boutiques, and restaurants. The stay itself has modern amenities, good lighting, a comfy bed, and a kitchen perfect for coffee or simple meals. The only drawback to the house is noise and light pollution at night from the Southerner restaurant next door.

The cottage was exactly as described. Cute & cozy. Amy was quick to respond to a few concerns we had. Try the Southerner (next door), but plan ahead because it can be a long wait or order your food online (that's what we did) and bring it back to the cottage. You won't be disappointed.

It’s the perfect size house. The layout and decor is welcoming and sweet. It has everything you need. The added bonus is being so close to the Southerner - highly recommend, as the food it is delicious!

We loved our weekend stay at The Roost! The cottage is the perfect size for two and had all the amenities of home. The decor is darling and every corner of the cottage is a well-planned use of space. It’s located steps from The Southerner (a must for us when we visit Saugatuck) and a few blocks from town. Very clean and quiet and the owner was very responsive and easy to communicate with. We’ll definitely stay again!

Spent a very comfortable and cozy long weekend with my dog here. At first glance pulling in I felt it was in a parking lot (didn’t Google map it) BUT, don’t judge! It’s quiet and lovely. Sat outside with a glass of wine. Quick walk to town and you get some steps in. I didn’t try the Southerner restaurant but people rave about it. It’s pretty quiet and closes down relatively early. The cottage is clean, comfy bed, used the oven, clean bathroom. Come and try it out for yourself!!
