Very happy with our visit. Propery had everythin we needed. Would definitely visit again. Would recommend adding a grill to the ameneties.

Communication with property owner and manager was good. There were problems with dishwasher not working but owner was very gratuitous. Hopefully the dishwasher will be fixed soon.

House was amazing. So close to the beach and beautiful views of the marsh! We will definitely be back!

Awesome little beach house

Property was clean and check in process was easy. Good location to the beach.

Cleanness was as expected, but there were a few (very few) noticeable things that anyone would easily overlook due to human error. The location was perfect and far away from all the tourist and chaos, that comes with kids and summer vacation. I felt almost like we had our own private beach, but with just a few other families around. Which with 2 young 14 year old girls it was heaven sent… as a mother I very much wanted to just relax, and this little diamond in the rough was the perfect thing for me as a mom bringing 4 children to the beach. Need to remind you, we had 214 year-old girls one 14 year old boy, and my adult son who is 23 years old. So the bunk beds were fantastic and allowed for the boys to sleep in one room and the girls in the other. The bunk beds mattresses were extremely comfortable based on the feedback from my children so that was a plus they all slept well. As for the larger room that my husband and I slept in, not as comfortable as the others, I would recommend replacing the mattress on that bed all together. It’s a bit worn out, and I would even recommend going to a queen size bed versus a full size bed. While we both slept reasonably OK, it’s still was a little difficult on certain nights to sleep with my husband because of his size. My husband is 6 foot one and about 240 pounds. To me, that’s an average male and he could’ve taken up the entire bed if I let him. I can say that the location was perfect, without a doubt for us all.

Overall a great stay. Just a short walk to the beach and lighthouse. The screened in porch was great. Plenty of extra blankets and towels. Could use a rug by the kitchen door so as not to track in sand, etc from outside we just put a beach towel near the door to wipe our feet on. Would stay at Katie’s Cottage again

Simple property that was perfect for our family. Nice location at the end of the road. Short walk to a nice beach.

Our family was very comfortable and the beach access was super close.

We first stayed in this house 7 years ago with family, and decided to come back on our own for our honeymoon. Not much has changed with the property in that time, which is both a positive and a bit of a negative. Pros: -Inside the home was clean. -Very convenient access to the beach and the lighthouse trail. -Lovely view from the back deck of the marsh, especially at sunset. -Being towards the end of the street, the beach was less crowded. -Important utilities/amenities such as the air conditioner and shower worked perfectly. Cons: -Some of the appliances seemed like they need to be replaced. Even after filling up the fridge, turning it to the coldest setting and waiting the initial 24-hour adjustment period, items inside didn't seem to be as cold as they should be. The washer and dryer, which are located below the house in a room that is not weather-sealed, were covered in rust. -We didn't feel comfortable sitting on most of the outdoor furniture. The metal tables and chairs were rusty and chipping. The cushions on the screened in porch were stained. These items should be replaced. -The outside was visibly dingy in areas - it could use some cleaning/fresh paint. -This wasn't a problem for us this time since there were only two of us, but previously when we stayed, five people sharing one bathroom was tough.

The location for a family with small children was perfect: free from the noise of Folly's main strip, and less crowds on the beach, even for Memorial Day weekend.The yard was good for our dog, too.The house is cozy and great atmosphere/tastefully decorated. It was clean and belongings are mostly well kept and everything we needed for our stay. As with most rentals there were minor issues, like a sticky non-stick pan. For our first visit to Folly Beach, we couldn't have had it better. We will definitely be back.

Love the location. Right across the street from beach access at northern most end of the island. House was perfect. Loved the sceeen in porch. Would come back again for sure.

The property was clean on the inside and comfortable but needs sprucing up. The exterior really needs cleaning and looks very tired. Convenient to the beach which is lovely and there where some beautiful sunsets over the marsh.

The Cottage and location exceeded expectations. Away from crowds, easy beach access, and relaxing… Thx for offering this Cottage for our stay! C&D G

Clean and quiet end of island. Shirt walk to the beach!

This was a nice beach house, but the pictures are better than in person. The house was clean, but dated. The beach is across the street which is really nice. However, it is several miles (maybe 2-3) into town. Fine for a car, but not walking distance with kids. Good communication from owner, but AC had to be fixed while we were there which was previously scheduled. Did not like workers being able to come inside while we were gone. This was communicated by the house owners a couple of days before they came to do repairs.

I tried for 6 almost 7 hours to contact the property manager for the door code for my arrival, ended up having to call emergency contact to even retrieve it. Check in date/time was March 11th at 4pm, couldn't even get in until 2am almost 3am on March 12th. They finally emailed me the door code on March 12th, @ 12:30pm. Would expect full refund for that day, including the "additional cleaning fees and damage protections" that was charged for a day I couldn't even check in... Beautiful location, house was cute, could use some updating, high winds blew out one of the porch screens, was easily fixable. Probably would not stay at that location again.

We really enjoyed our getaway to Folly beach. I have been to Charleston many times but have never stayed on Folly beach. We had a wonderful time and Katie’s cottage was perfect for our family. Very comfortable and we didn’t want to leave. Would definitely stay here again.

Loved our stay at the cottage… it was perfect for our family of 6 and for our pets. Great location and views, easy and close access to the beach. Inside was very nice and laid out great. Highly recommend

We had a great time going to the beach, out to dinner and easily getting to Charleston. Will be back!
