You can't beat this location. Just steps from town and the history of the house is another added bonus. The property manager is fantastic and very responsive. We were in town for a laid back bachelorette and everyone still talks about the ease of walking into town, great restaurants close by and historic house!

The house and the amenities were excellent. Everything was provided. It is within walking distance of almost everything. Our host greeted us shortly after our arrival and pointed out several things. He responded very quickly when we needed more washcloths. We strongly recommend the "Purple House."

Our blended family that included a newborn, two tweens, two 20-something new parents and two new grandparents had plenty of room in this delightfully charming old home just steps away from Main Street in downtown Mystic. The small backyard was large enough to host a July 4th BBQ with additional family who joined us there as well. Our host, Joe, was very attentive and responsive all weekend long. We all enjoyed our stay at "The Purple House" immensely and would certainly recommend it to anyone with a large party looking for something walking distance to all that Mystic has to offer. Five stars, for sure!

The house was great, we had an easy time keeping an eye on two toddlers as they explored. The location is perfect, would definitely rent this house again.

Very roomy and a prime location with lots of parking. It’s definitely nothing fancy, but that’s what we were looking for. I would stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay. The house is located near downtown and it’s easy to walk to many restaurants and bars. The house is definitely old but has a lot of character. They just don’t make houses the way they used to! We enjoyed our stay immensely and would stay again.

This house was perfect for our girls weekend this summer! There were 10 of us and more than enough space. The house is located within walking distance to great bars/restaurants and downtown mystic. It’s also short drive to the ferry station, which we took advantage of and spent the day on block island as well. Joe was a great host who was quick with his responses. Would definitely stay here again!

I just returned from my New Year’s Eve celebration with a bunch of friends and can’t stop smiling !
Joe’s house is so beautiful and interesting. Lots of very cool architectural details and it’s actually much bigger in person than it appears in the photos.
Joe himself was super responsive and friendly!
The house is literally a hop skip and jump away from Main Street so not once did we have to drive anywhere.
Our experience could not have been more positive and we have already discussed returning in the spring!
