The place was gorgeous and perfect for our getaway.

We had a decent stay. The property is large and accommodates two families easily. The cleanliness of the property leaves something to be desired. If you have any allergy or dust issues, this may be an issue. Overall, we had a nice visit but probably won’t return based on the cleanliness.

We rented the River Queen for an organizational retreat, and we loved our stay! The view from the deck (and the hot tub) is truly something special. The house is cozy and comfortable, with many unique touches.

This is a great house for a large group. There were 10 of us -- all family, ranging from 25 to 87 y.o. The premises were very clean, well appointed, and had a spectacular, large enclosed porch overlooking the river. The kitchen was supplied with everything you could possibly need. The house is perfect for grandchildren who can stay in the lower level, where there are sleeping arrangements for 7 and separate rooms for a pool table and a ping pong table. We had a great family time. Most people brought instruments and we spent many evening hours in front of the large roaring fireplace jamming on guitars and banjos. It was a very delightful stay in every way and we certainly recommend it to anyone with a large group -- not just family, but a group of good friends. Oh yes, the hot tub was magical -- sited on a raised platform surrounded by a circle of tall pines.

This is an amazing property! I had reservations about the property as I was hosting a small yoga retreat. I had a lot of questions as I would not be doing a site visit. Response times were very quick and they were very accommodating with my questions. Upon arrival the house was very clean, warm and welcoming. The location is like no other. From the willow tree that frames the windows, to the river view, to the amazing hot tub in a grove of redwood trees. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook and each room offered plenty of privacy. I will absolutely book again whether a yoga retreat, family reunion or group of friends. This is an amazing property and you never need to leave during the time there. Everything we needed was provided or simply available given the location.

Clean spacious and very comfortable! An amazing kitchen for a group of 10 adults! The house was so large you could get lost in it! Lots of recreational activities in house and outside on the river!

Fantastic house! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, and loved that there was plenty of space for our big group. Comfy beds, nice big kitchen with all you could need for cooking and sharing meals. The teens especially enjoyed the game rooms with pool table and ping pong. And the river was so beautiful! We want to return every year!

We had a wonderful stay. The location is great. This is our 3rd time. It would be a big improvement if there was a dock at the end of the concrete pad for easier river access and locking of boats. It’s no one’s fault but a huge branch fell from one of the redwoods and landed right next to the jacuzzi while we were in it. It would have severely injured someone, or worse if it hit us. Perhaps installing a net above the jacuzzi or finding some way to make that more safe would be smart. The green boat had a leak that we had to fix. Overall, though, we really enjoyed our stay. Our family had stayed there 10 years ago. The place was as well maintained and equipped now as then...maybe even better. Great for families.i Minor note: Kayak still leaks despite patch .

We chose the River Queen as a place that four generations of our family could gather and celebrate an early celebration of our mom, grandmother, and great-grandmother's 90th birthday. What an incredible time we had!!! Numerous games and activities inside and outside the house kept everyone entertained. An incredibly well stocked kitchen; beautiful interiors; river canoeing/kayaking equipment; beautiful decks; yards with beautiful views; and hot tub let us enjoy an outstanding extended weekend. We're already planning our next visit!!!

The property was beautiful! Spacious and comfortable. Plenty of rooms and bathrooms for all to get ready for our daughter's wedding - and plenty of wonderful spots on the property to relax and recoup afterwards! Wonderful weekend!

Amazing spot!

Staying here was a joy. The home was perfect for our needs and allowed some separation from the children’s area downstairs with the adult area upstairs. Sitting on the enclosed back deck, watching the river was a wonderful way to start the day. The hot tub is ringed by magnificent redwoods. The rooms all have their own bathroom. Everyone in our group commented how well the house fit our needs. We never wanted to leave.

I wish we could have stayed a full week! We had a wonderful long weekend with friends. The house is very comfortable with lots of privacy for different groups and couples. The house has plenty of space in common areas for hanging out and playing games. The views up into the trees from the hot tub were incredible. We hope to visit again!

The River Queen was a fantastic location for our annual golf / March Madness weekend. After a five minute drive from the course, we were able to relocate the fun to the beautiful deck overlooking the river. The spacious house was very comfortable for our group and had everything we needed to ensure a great time. Thank you!!

Myself and 11 friends stayed at the River Queen and it was one of the best weekends of my life. Our contact, Naiomi, was great at communicating with us and provided digital and paper copies (on fridge) of the check in and out procedures. Expectations were super clear and easy. We had fresh flowers on arrival on the kitchen counter and the property was truly beautiful. My favorite parts of the space were the hot tub nestled in between redwoods and the giant kitchen table where we all sat during mealtime. If you have a big group, want to explore the area, and respect beautiful homes then the River Queen is perfect for you. And we know their alarm system works! This is a safe place for gathering.

Great place for a family to gather! We enjoyed a lovely Christmas celebration at the River Queen and hope to return during the swimming season!

We spent four nights the week before Christmas at River Queen. We were a family of nine adults, three children and two dogs. The house was very comfortable and a great layout for a large group. The adults enjoyed relaxing on the glass enclosed porch with a great view of the River and the kids enjoyed the fussball and ping pong tables. We all loved the hot tub and excursions to the beach at Jenner, local hiking and exploring Guerneville. Renters with dogs and young children should be aware that no portion of the outdoor area is fully enclosed and Highway 116 runs right by the property. Also, bring shampoo and conditioner as none is provided. Otherwise, enjoyed a great stay at this special house.

11 adults and room to roam/play enjoy each others company or get away for some quiet time. This property has this and beauty in the redwoods. We are coming back next year. Yes, it’s that good ❤️

Our family of seven adults and four children loved our stay at The River Queen. Plenty of room for kids to play and adults to visit. The redwood trees surrounding the property and the hot tub in the middle of a towering stand of redwoods were spectacular. The kitchen was well equipped, and the gas grill made meal prep easy.

Our extended family of 12 stayed for 4 days. The house had plenty of room and plenty of entertainment for all.

We had an incredible time at the River Queen! The home and grounds are beautiful! The home has everything you could need and there was plenty of space for our group of 12. Everyone slept like babies in the comfy beds and all of the chairs and couches made great places to relax! I would recommend this home to anyone and look forward to coming back soon!

We had a wonderful time kayaking and camping down the river, playing pool and ping pong as well as soaking in the hot tub enjoying the natural beauty of the Russian River. We had dinner at the Rio Cafe and we all had a blast!

Just returned from one of the most memorable gathering of friends and family for our 25th Wedding Anniversary. All thanks to the owners and staff of the River Queen. From the moment we stepped in the door, we felt right at home at this beautiful and spacious home along the Russian River. Every person in our group had a smile on their face the entire weekend and we were never bored. From paddling along the river to playing pool (or ping pong) and board games, we all found something to do together. The house is perfectly roomy for our group of 11. I loved waking up in the morning and having coffee in the Sun Room, watching the sun light peak through the redwoods. Having access to the kayaks and canoes gave us all a chance to spend time on the river together. And the kitchen and huge dining area were ideal for our communal meals. I'll never forget this magical weekend. Thank you all so much. I hope to have another excuse to have a reunion here in the very near future!

Hi, We've been to the River Queen for at least 12 summers. There is no other house like it. We love it's history, gracious spaces, and location at the bend in the river. The location of the hot tub in a grove of redwoods overlooking the river provides wonderful moments at sunset. We also appreciate the recent improvements to the house and decks. We had a wonderful time and plan to be back next year.

A huge home, everyone had their own bed and bathroom, meals at the huge table were a delight with the river views a plus. Canoe and kayaks were great. Even the dogs enjoyed their stay. Grandchildren begged us to bring everyone back for next year!

Spent 5 nights with 3 families. Ideal river access and great layout for cooking for our crew. Boats and kayaks available on site instead of driving to rent them was also very convenient. Hoping to book again and make it an annual trip.

It's a gorgeous property, and we just loved the location and ambience. Can't wait to return!

The house is even better than the description, and we knew it would be great! So wonderful to be able to jump in river right from private dock. Even grandpa got in the canoe! Kitchen was well appointed and had all applicances needed. Plenty of space for everyone to relax. Just a perfect get away.

Every year my family gathers together for a vacation. My 3 siblings and I, my mother, and the children of my siblings try to find a space where we can all be comfortable. This house was perfect with the best combination of bedrooms, river access, river view, and play areas. It's a beautiful property and house and so much fun as well. There were plenty of floaties., a canoe, three kayaks, for everyone to get out onto the river. The house has a lot of stairs, any my mother usually uses a walker, but she used her cane on the stairs and luckily they all had handles, so she got around, under our watchful eyes. The house is beautiful, well stocked with spices, books, games, a pool table, ping pong and more, and even the newest addition to the family had a blast and she's only about a year old!

The house is large and surrounded by shady lawns and decks with incredible views of the river. I can understand why this is one of the oldest buildings on the river, although it has been renovated and updated significantly. The long sunroom was where the familly spent much of our time reading or playing cards and board games while we watched kayaks paddle by and herons, egrets, swifts and other water birds. The building has ample games and distractions for all ages. The kitchen is well-appointed. The only drawback seemed to be the proximity to highway 116, where the road noise was a distraction a few times. Overall, the family loved our stay and everybody seemed eager to return for another stay.
