We enjoyed being right on river. Nice deck and outdoor area. Short walk to town. Owner was helpful. We would stay again!

There is something so soothing when you awaken to the sound of river water. This house was so relaxing. The big porch facing the river was great to sit and relax. For cooking on site there are plenty pots,pans and dinnerware for our group. This is the best ever location, house and vaca for us!

Our Christmas stay was fantastic thanks to this wonderful waterfront home, tastefully decorated for the season. Our host was extraordinarily responsive during the extreme cold snap (single digits!) and did his utmost to keep the heating and pipes operational. The house is perfect for a large group and had everything we needed. The "elder accessible" nature of the home was a huge help for the grandparents. Very quiet area and horses across the street were lovely. Town is right around the corner, literally. Couldn't be better. Thanks for making our family gathering a success!

Great location which allows a quick walk to downtown Helen! Host was awesome and quick to respond. Would highly recommend as a great place for a large family or group of friends to stay!

We had the best time at this beautiful house on the river! Even had a Christmas tree up which I thought was amazing! We loved every minute there. Thank you so much for letting us rent your awesome house

We have been coming to Helen for over 30 years with friends and family and have stayed at several different hotels and rented several different houses. This, by far, was the nicest accommodations! We look forward to next year!

we loved the location, able to walk to town on the backstreets to avoid the large sidewalk crowds & traffic on main street. driving access west to unicoi and anna ruby was also easy, because we didn’t have to wait in town traffic to get back to our place. betty’s IGA has everything you need for groceries and is very close. house itself is a great central hub for family. bedrooms, bathrooms, & kitchen were very large. livingroom/tv area was smaller, but we pulled up a few kitchen chairs in the back for watching holiday movies. we used the outdoor firepit every evening… such a great environment with tall trees, a large empty lot next to us, and the river flowing. kitchen was well stocked with coffee pot, nice pots & pans, dishwasher, etc. we also rented the 2bedroom vrbo next door for my parents, and they loved it. same owners as this one. luxury cabin feel for them. recommendations: hike yonah mountain for great overlook views, bodensee has the best chefs in town, 2-wheel tavern for outdoor sports watching & live music.

We where 4 couples including a wheelchair. Everything was perfect. Even the bed was low enough to transfer without help. The house is spacious, beautiful laid out, has everything you need for your stay and is in easy walking (rolling) distance to downtown. It has such a serene and private setting with ample seating areas outside to enjoy the river and treed views. We will stay there again for sure. Thank you owners for making it so pleasant and easy for our double leg amputee !!!

The property was clean, organized and absolutely elderly / Rollator friendly! If you live in Atlanta and further south and have seen the chattahoochee river you owe it to your self to see how the waters look in Helen! In fact you can see the river, flowing right past the property. Admittedly, it a raging river more like a lazy creek but still pretty amazing to see how clear and feel how crisp the water feels before it reaches the bigger city.

We came up to stay for our son’s wedding and the house was perfect for us. So convenient to Helen and the venues. It was so nice for us to sit outside and enjoy the view in the evening and listen to the rushing water. The host is awesome and was very understanding about a minor mishap we had. I will definitely try to stay there again if we go to Helen.

The cabin was in a perfect location- just a short walk into downtown Helen and a great part of the Chatahoochee behind! Cabin was a great space for 2 young families and kitchen was fully stocked with small appliances and dishes. Owners were very responsive and helpful. We will definitely recommend to others and can’t wait to come back!

Excellent property! It is on the river & walking distance to everything in town. We rented the two bedroom cabin next door as well. Perfect fit for our family.

The property was wonderful. I would just suggest a set of steps down to the river. This would make it easier for older guests. And the door locks aren’t easy to use.

Lovely home right on the river! Great for walking to everything in town. My father and sons fished there and just next door from the bridge. Very well-stocked kitchen for a rental! After years of renting places, this is the first time the chef’s knives have actually been sharp! Plenty of room - nice bedrooms. Firepit was wonderful!

Our group had a wonderful time in Helen and the house location was nice and close to town, within walking distance. The outside area was beautiful, the sound of water running in the background was relaxing and the house was stocked with all the necessities. The owners provided helpful information prior to check in and Betty's grocery store was only a short walk away and had everything we needed. It was quite cold (and even snowed!) so we were grateful for the amazing water pressure and hot water in the showers. The heater worked well but had a mildew-like smell when it turned on. A few additional blankets to add to the beds would have been nice and the living room furniture was a little outdated with the recliner making noises like it's seen better days. The beds were very comfortable and we would definitely recommend this property and stay again!
