Because it was the week before Labor Day, we had the lake practically to ourselves. The cabin was definitely use some updates, but had all the essentials needed. Although I never had direct contact with Lee myself, my husband found him to be a very gracious and conscientious host. He responded immediately to all of our needs. The only suggestions I can make that I’m sure would be greatly appreciated by future guests would be to have a small engine for the rowboat and a proper fire pit. The Cobbs should also ask their cleaning staff to take a look behind the television… ewww!

Real nice house, very clean, had all the amenities. A mile from downtown, had a great time.

The cottage was very clean and comfortable. The water was a bit low, but my husband still managed to catch a good amount of fish. Loved watching the geese on the water every morning. Very friendly neighborhood and super close to downtown. Lee was a great host!

My family and I throughly enjoyed our stay at the "Up North" cottage on Tawas Lake. The cottage was very clean, comfortable, and well-stocked with linens, bath towels, kitchen utensils, etc., and we immediately felt right at home when we walked in the door. Our favorite part about the cottage was sitting on the deck enjoying the amazing view of the lake. We definitely recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a quiet place to unwind and enjoy all that East Tawas has to offer.

My husband, son, and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The house is right on Lake Tawas and there was a small row boat for use. The water level was a bit low, but it was a perfect place for our 18 month old to play in the water. The house is near downtown East Tawas where there are several shops and a few restaurants. There are also several nearby parks with access to the beach and Lake Huron. The house was clean and had a nice area to relax in the back yard with seating, a swing, and a small fire pit.

We had a great time with our family. The home was cozy and well kept. We all caught fish including our 4yrs old. Beach and town are right down the road. The boat was a nice perk! We will be back :)

We had an excellent experience staying in Lee’s cottage - clear communication, lovely views and an extremely clean, comfortable, and well-equipped space. I would absolutely recommend this property for a peaceful getaway with quick access to East Tawas.

We had a great time! No swimming, but my husband caught fish and was happy! Watch out for swimmers itch, if you wade in or put your feet in water. Lovely neighborhood for walks. People are friendly and say hello!

We had a blast very relaxing quiet lake (no jet skis )lots of wildlife we saw vultures eagle deer herons ducks rabbits.lake was low but still caught lots of fish ,nice little up north town close by with little shops great vacation

Nice and quiet location on the water. Very clean and roomy. We had a great time.

Renting the house was easy. The owner lives across the street, so if you need anything he is close. No local channels on the tv

This property is absolutely perfect, the sunset views from the backyard are stunning! The neighborhood is quiet and friendly, perfect for us when getting away from the city! Only a few minutes from town, you could easily bike there. The property owner explained the water was low this year so the dock wasn't in but my kids loved having their own beach so it worked out for us. I would absolutely love to stay at this property again, we had an amazing week filled with lots of fun (and relaxing) moments and many good memories made!

The Cobb Cottage was a great choice for our mini vacation. The sunrises and sunsets are spectacular. The cottage was very clean and well stocked. The neighborhood was quiet - it was a great place to simply unwind and relax. If you are looking for a place to stay in Tawas, the Cobb Cottage is the place to be. Owner didn't seem to friendly. Didn't know where to park the car so he wasn't happy where I parked so I moved it the car and never saw him again.
