We stayed here for the wedding of our son at Tranquility Farms across the street. The property was clean and the staff was responsive. The house is very large and spacious. We have talked about going back for another weekend. Great place and highly recommend!

We stayed at this property during a family wedding at Tranquility Farm across the street. Such a great, convenient location to walk back and forth for wedding events. The winery was a great option for hanging out, as well. The house comfortably fit our large group and 3 cars. I think it’s worth noting for large groups that there are no sofa beds and the only room with multiple beds is the bunk room. This works, but good for planning purposes.

Our group stayed here last year for the 1st time and it was a great experience. We came back this year for our strategic retreat and were really disappointed. The fridge and counters were dirty, there were no trash bags left for us, the trash was supposed to go out daily, but never got picked up which left a smell in the game room. The suggested caterer cancelled on us last minute which left us with few options for a business retreat. There was also a lovely gentleman that works on the farm, but we were unaware that he'd be coming into the yard and actually working in an office inside of the house. Definityly unexpected and off-putting. We planned on using this property for our yearly retreats for years to come, but are now looking elsewhere due to our recent experience.

The house and property totally served our needs for an executive retreat. Nice space for meetings, beautiful property and the bonus tasting room all made for a pleasant stay.

The property is beautiful. It was very comfortable and we were able to accommodate our family for the weekend of my daughters wedding.

This was our second time staying at this property. It's become our standard location for our state-side quarterly meetings because it is a huge house where we all have our own space, as well as offering ample meeting space, great wifi and a peaceful setting for us to focus on our work.

Perfect stay during a wedding weekend at Tranquility

We used the property for my sister's bachelorette party and we had a great time! Just steps away from the winery and surrounded by beautiful landscape while we enjoyed the pool. Very comfortable sleeping arrangements!

Beautiful house on beautiful property, surrounded by horses and grapes. The hosts are a pleasure to work with. A quaint town nearby, and a short trip to DC or National Harbor. It would take a month to visit all of the wineries in the vicinity. We've stayed there twice and very much look forward to returning.

We booked this property last fall. We inquired about the chef and were told that it was too early to book him and should get back in touch in February 2023. We did that and after answering some of the owner's questions, we were told the chef was unavailable that week. He did recommend two other chefs in the area. We hired D.A.H. Cuisines (amazing). Before arriving, we were sent a code and told to pick up the key at the wine tasting room. On arrival, the wine tasting room knew nothing about a key. They contacted someone and we were told the key was in the mailbox. There was no key in the mailbox. We went back to the tasting room again. Finally someone arrived with a key. The house was beautiful with large windows, large rooms, two kitchens and a game room. The one thing we noticed were the bathrooms seemed stained. That was disappointing. We found the large barbecue, pool and patio area. The pool was not clean. There were no signs indicating the depths of the pool. With small children, this was worrisome. The stone patio area had a couple of levels. It was hard to tell where a step was. Several of our party tripped. One person fell and broke her hip and went to the hospital. We lost power during a storm. We contacted the owner through Vrbo, called his contact number. We finally realized there was a generator that did not have sufficient fuel. We never heard from the owner. A lovely home, but be careful if you have small children (deep pool) and seniors (uneven steps).

Loved our stay at the Gruner Bungalow! Property was in wonderful condition and the house was perfect for our large group.

This was a wonderful stay! The house is even nicer in person. Check in and check out were easy, the property was just as described (one of the bedrooms is in the basement, but very nice), and everyone said the beds were very comfortable. The kids had a great time in the pool and game room. We will definitely be back!

We rented this house with the purpose to have our combined families to meet each other and to hang out getting to know everyone. The setting was perfect for the occasion, Kristopher the owner was very gracious and easily reachable if needed. The adjoining winery is just a short stroll away and they have some fine wines to enjoy.

Had 15 people and there was plenty of room. So much space and options for conversation, games, swimming and even a dance party. Awesome

My wife and I stayed at the Gruner Bungalow with 7 other couples in early June. The house and property were amazing. 8 couples had plenty of space including individual bedrooms all with large beds, and LOTS of living space. The multiple living rooms, game room, and outdoor pool space were great. The game room features pool, ping pong, and two huge flatscreen TVs each with independent feeds (great for watching two different sporting events). The home features two kitchens which are very helpful to support cooking, serving, and eating. We had a private chef and his staff come to the house one night and there was plenty of space for him and his staff to cook, work, and serve without anyone feeling on top of each other. Pool was very nice; not heated but even in early June it was warm enough to swim in and quite clean. The entire pool area was very nice and great area to spend time. The home is located on the Otium Cellars property which is incredibly unique for a home rental! You can walk about 50 steps from the rental home to the tasting room which is fantastic. Overall, the home is very well kept, very clean, and plenty big for a large group of adults. There is great access to the Northern Virginia wine country and to the town of Purcellville. I highly recommend for an adult friend or family gathering! Jamie

Great place with lots of space to spread out. We were able to have a comfortable board meeting in the rec room. We had plenty of privacy even though we were next to the winery.

there were amazing views, easy no-contact support from owners, had all we needed and was absolutely beautiful. Lots of time spent in the game room playing pool and ping-pong, plenty of room for groups to hang out in different areas of the home. Absolutely lovely from beginning to end.

We had an absolutely amazing time. The house is fantastic and the location unbeatable.

We hosted our Quarterly leadership planning/retreat at this property for 3 days and it was perfect. Tucked away in a beautiful setting, we were able to focus on our work during the day and enjoy the delights of Purcellville at night. Sadly we weren't able to make it to our wine tasting as our schedule ran long but we did buy some bottles which were delicious!

We scheduled this for my father-in-law's surprise 80th birthday party. His daughters searched for a place for a long time because they were trying to find a location and lodging that would accomodate a large group. The short story being they were finally able to locate this property that accomodated all of our needs. We had family from Georgia, Colorado, Texas, and California make the trip. From the moment you drive up to the home you know you are at the right place. It's not that often that you are able to stay at a working vineyard that is stumbling distance from your accomodations... The inside of the home is amazing to say the least. It is very well laid out and has enough room and anciallry locations for large groups to spread or if they want, be together in the same vicinity. The view is amazing and the peace and quiet just added to the overall enjoyment of our stay. The gathering was a huge success and the home and the location were a big part of that. If we do need to have another large family gathering again this will definetly be the location we gather. Highly reccomend this property.

The Gruner bungalow is a beautiful property! Check-in and check-out were very easy, Kristopher was very responsive to my inquiries before our stay, and the house is beautifully maintained. The house is well-stocked and maintained beautifully. We had a fabulous time celebrating my husband's 40th birthday there. Thank you to the Otium cellars team!

First, let me say, Kris is a fantastic host! He and his staff were very attentive to our needs throughout our stay! I don’t typically write reviews, but I had to in this case. This place is amazing! Very well appointed, and has all that you need for a wonderful and pleasant stay! I am a chef, and must say for those folks booking here, looking to have a private chef dinner, etc. they have the perfect space for that as well. This is just a lovely property! You can’t go wrong! Book Now!

We loved our stay at the bungalow! We had 8 couples staying for a 40th birthday weekend celebration and everyone had tons of space of their own while having lots of common living areas to come together. The extra kitchen was amazing for meal prep and keeping the main kitchen (where everyone loved to gather!) clean. Our only complaint was the basement bedroom was quite chilly and the heat didn’t seem to make it’s way down there, but it was also a very cold and windy weekend! Having the winery next door was really fun - we all walked over for a tasting and drink before our brewery bus tour and the location of the house was perfect for that too. We would definitely stay again!

Perfect venue in Loudoun county for a family reunion. We stayed for a couple of nights with extended family and friends and also rented Otium Cellar’s wine tasting/party room adjacent to the property to celebrate a birthday. All our guests praised the cleanliness and amenities of the property and the best part is that it is within 30 minutes of Dulles airport, so it was really convenient for guests who flew jn to Dulles. We are not wine experts but some of our guests who are rated the wines as ‘very good’. Overall our experience is A+
