This home has a main living floor with an open plan kitchen, dining , and seating area with a beautiful view of the lowlands. There are also seating areas on different floors, where people can have space to be on their own. We were 7 women and having the bedrooms with ensuites was wonderful. The house is extremely well equipped and had everything that was needed to start our stay. Being 2 minutes from the beach was perfect!

This house is perfect for enjoying the beauty of the ocean and marshes. The kitchen deck looks on to a beautiful marsh. The ocean is a mere 2 minute walk and Moody Beach is spectacular! The kitchen is well stocked, the beds are really comfortable and there is lots of room to spread out and relax. Just a wonderful place to unwind with family and friends.

Great house. Lots of space and an excellent location.

Our group of 7 women traveled to the area for Christmas by the Sea. This house was perfect for our needs. It had plenty of space, a well-stocked kitchen and incredible views. We could walk to the beach in a couple of minutes. The house has multiple gathering areas, making it an excellent choice for families or groups of friends. We hope to return in the future!

We liked the bedroom configuration and the upstairs movie room. The kitchen was adequately stocked. It was nice to have lots of bathrooms. The location was really great - access to the beach was about two minutes and the marsh views were really nice. It was quiet - very few cars. However, I would imagine in the summer it would be really busy as the parking lot is right across the way.

Moody Beach - Wells, Maine is just so lovely! And this home was perfect for us all! Everything you need for space, fun, gathering, and relaxation! 😊

Excellent location.

The house was great, beautiful views, lots of amenities and room. The beach was just steps away, clean and not very crowded (at least in the latter part of June). Just make sure you have your own transportation! We were not aware of this. We arrived by train on Father’s Day and had to walk three miles with our luggage to the house. There was a bus from the train station but it only went to Hanneford plaza, which was about 3 miles from the house. There were no taxis or Uber/Lyft that would come drive us. The nearest car rental places were in New Hampshire or Portland, ME and they didn’t have vehicles available. Apparently there used to be a trolley but they can’t find drivers to do the route.

This home was just perfect for 4 couples or more. The home was well equipped with everything that we needed. We especially liked the kitchen area where we could cook, enjoy socializing, play cards and enjoy the view. Although we could not use the deck due to the weather, it would have been perfect in the warmer months. Parking was spacious and check in easy. This home will be one that we visit again!

We have a wonderful stay during Maine’s holiday weekend. It is perfect for larger families or multiple families. I would definitely stay again!

Had a fabulous 5 day stay!! The amenities the house had was far beyond what was expected! More than enough space for 12 people, abundance of kitchenware, sheets, pillows and extra blankets! No need to pack anything for the beach, as there was about 15 beach chairs, toys umbrellas, kites, tubes and much more!

it's a beautiful property nestled between the main beach and the river. you truly have the best of both worlds. if you are looking for outdoor activity you can paddle the river, or you can sit and plunk your a... in the sand and marvel at the atlantic. This is a home set up to entertain large groups, but also offers each guest/couple/family their own a well appointed private area. We had 12 adults at one point staying over and no one felt cramped. The space was immaculate, and well appointed. We spent long hours sitting on the back deck enjoying the river view with plenty of waterfowl. Taking food off the grill directly into the kitchen and prep area was perfect. For those with orthopedic issues, the ground floor level offers it's own entertainment and kitchen area, with a short flight of stairs up the the main level. Having an upper level with a balcony was great for the night owls, and having a small kitchen there spared going up and down for drinks and snacks.

We loved our stay at the Family Beach Retreat! After visiting the area for the last 30+ years, this has become our favorite location. Having the beach steps away , and the marsh to explore in the back yard, it was a perfect location for our crew which included 6 children 9 and under. Plenty of room to spread out & loved the abundance of bathrooms. House could use a couple of updates, however, we would absolutely rent from here again!

Fabulous..12 of us..age 6 to 70… The beach..the beautiful marsh sides..enjoying the deck and even the fishing . Quality bedding and furnishings. Abundance of beach supplies.would have been great if there had been twin beds for the children but not a deal breaker… Great great vacation

Perfect beach rental for family. Super clean, comfortable and an incredible location!

If you want space to spread out, and the best of both worlds then this house is for you! This 6 bedroom/5 bath home is located directly on the river, perfect for Kayaking and paddleboarding. It is just steps away from the Ocean, which you can see from the upstairs deck off the expansive family room. The house is fully equipped , including 4 refrigerators. The large deck on the main level overlooks the river and hosts a 6 person table and barbecue grill. The main level boasts 4 bedrooms, 3 of which are en suites. The lower level is its own apartment with 2 bedrooms, bathroom, living room and kitchenette. Such an incredible find! We will be back next year!

Marsh was an unexpected surprise. Being able to kayak/paddle board and then take a short walk to the beach was incredibly convenient. The home was very large and really well equipped.
