We had a good stay for the Fourth of July. The location provides very easy access to Blue Ridge Parkway, Asheville downtown and Biltmore area. Everything was less than 15 minutes drive, and super easy. The only thing to note is the cabin is very creaky - every step makes a creak, both top floor and main floor. Beds could probably use an update due to heavy divots. Otherwise, make time to enjoy the sauna - it's a wonderful experience!

We admired the wooden and woodland details of the cabin. The whole atmosphere was heartwarming and fun. If I could just add just a few suggestions they would be: better instructions for the tv we called Vacasa for help and they did respond the same day . The kitchen and bathrooms were very clean but the cleaning staff need to pick it up with regard to dusting and vacuuming the rugs, lamp shades, drawers. Great washer and dryer but no detergent which was annoying. Perhaps the last guest didn’t “pay it forward”.” I don’t know but it would have been helpful. Better signage because when we first arrived we went to the wrong cabin. The single lane road up to the cabin was ok in daylight but scary in the dark. You also need to have better and more ping pong equipment. Not enough paddles and poor quality. Other than that, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, loved the quiet and slept later here than we have in years. Very comfortable beds, plenty of towels, the kitchen had everything we needed. Thank you for sharing your cabin with us. We appreciated the story of the creation of your home which shows in the lovely details.

Really was perfect except the sheets on the king size bed in the loft are worn and really need replacing…. Was surprised at all the add on fees considerable raised the base price. Poor signage directing us to cabin

Nice home . Location was great. Quite, relaxing place. Was in area to show family members around Asheville and Lake Lure area. We Would rent again.

We had a wonderful Christmas at the cabin!! We wanted some place in the woods but close enough to downtown and this fit the bill. You can hike right out of the front door!

This home was the perfect getaway - Beautiful window views and a cozy cabin all within 10 -15 minutes to everything in Asheville you would want to go and do. We were able to easily accomplish all we hoped for because this location was so convenient! We enjoyed sitting by the fireplace, and the screen porch/deck set up for the surprising 70 degree weather we had one New Years. A terrific visit. We look forward to visiting again!

Great spot for a quick getaway. A couple of things the staff helped us work through during the stay. Staff at turnkey were great in their responsiveness and help.

Great location, not far from town, tons of space and overall great cabin! Would deff stay here again

Comfortable property, 10 minute drive to Asheville. We enjoyed the ping pong table in the basement. Property is a little tricky to find, one suggestion would be step by step instructions on how to find in the check-in information.

Great property! We enjoyed our stay

The cabin was clean and comfortable and well maintained. A bit difficult to locate for initial arrival but easy after knowing where to go. Plenty of space and instructions were accurate.

We enjoyed our weekend at the cabin! Checking in and out was easy, and everything we needed was provided. The walls are a bit thin and the beds are creaky, so it was difficult packing in 8 friends. This might not be an issue for a family rental though! Thank you for helping us celebrate our friend getting married!

Beautiful cabin, very nice and high quality woods and appliances. Great location, right by the Blue Ridge Parkway and minutes from downtown Asheville. Near good hikes. It was very challenging to find the cabin. There are so many different roads with similar names that the navigation device could not quite get it and the service is not in North Carolina so they couldn't tell us really how to find it. Took about an hour to find. Then we had issues with the keypad. Took a long time to get a working code to get in and then the next day had to get an additional code. Final it got sorted. These things were frustrating but not deal breakers.

The Elkhorn Cabin was a wonderful retreat for our family. The cabin was decorated in a comfortable and inviting way and was spotless. We loved having the games and ping-pong table. We set up a little tournament and each night after our adventures in Asheville, we ended with some serious ping-pong. We had a shower with a slow drain but after sending a text for help, it was all fixed before the next morning. Should we return to this area, we would want to stay here every time! We enjoyed our week at this clean and comfortable cabin. It felt like we were staying in our own home as it was stocked with everything we might need: hangers, night stands where you want them, plenty of lamps, etc. The cabin was upscale and no detail was skimmed on. If we return to Asheville, we will book it again!
