This is our 2nd year renting this lovely gem conveniently located close to downtown Hyannis in a quiet neighborhood. Comfortable furnishings and a well-equipped kitchen.

This is a very nice house in a very convenient area if you want to move around the Cape.

The home was easy to access from the highway and allowed for easy exploration of the cape. It sits on a beautifully maintained lot with well manicured grass, artful landscaping, and mature trees. Much of the outdoor space in the back of the home is semi-private which is great for meals on the patio or use of the fabulous outdoor shower.
The inside of the cottage is newly renovated with updated appliances and furniture. The decorations are accurate to the listing and lend themselves to a very relaxing, and restful getaway.
If there were any negatives of the property, (which there aren't any that are concerning) it would be that sound travels through the cottage very easily, and my family of 4 ran through all provided paper products and soaps (dish & laundry) during our 4 night stay and had to make an extra trip to the market to replenish.
I would highly recommend this wonderful home for your next visit to the Cape. Make sure that you take a look at the schedule of the Melody Tent for some live music, but skip the recommendation to the local Black Cat restaurant as there are far better experiences on the cape to be had.

Wonderful, private house. Located near Hyannis but far enough away from busy roads that it’s very quiet. Access to Long Pond (shared by neighborhood) is a nice plus.

My kids and I loved this cute and cozy place near the pond. We had a lot of great swimming adventures in the pond and were able to enjoy the super close beaches, ice cream, and more. The cottage itself is fully stocked and well decorated. In fact, my only suggestion is that the listing include how well-stocked the place is! We are used to bringing our own sheets and towels to Cape rentals -- but there's no need here. Would have been good to know in advance.

Very nice house in Centerville. We had 2 adults and 3 small kids and had enough room..house was spacious. Only 1 bathroom but for a short stay, it was more than fine. Quiet neighborhood and good proximity to Main st and attractions. Wish the unit was stocked and had a minor issue with some of the lights not working but was able to locate the panel in the basement to troubleshoot. Nice back yard with private access to pond…beach pass and equipment came in handy. The property was overall nice…would recommend adjusting the timing of the landscapers so there is less overlap with guests. Would stay again

House was immaculate and had everything you'd need. Grounds were pretty, great access to the pond, just very aesthetically pleasing all around. Close to town, close to the ocean, close to other towns. We really enjoyed our stay and were very comfortable

Beautifully decorated clean cottage for 4 adults and 2 children. All amenities were there. Great if you love to kayak. The lake was right there near the property. Get in the car and drive 10 minutes to Beach.

This cottage was the perfect home for my family of 3. Beautifully decorated, clean, and comfortable. We loved the large backyard where we played lawn games and the pond for the fishing & kayaking. The beach was 5 minutes away. The cottage is a perfect location for day trips to Falmouth & Yarmouth areas.

A lovely home
A lovely updated home and a great location. We found a couple great bakeries, Amie and Pain D’Avignon nearby. A couple of minor things, the bed linen and bath towels were worn out and could do with replacing. We couldn’t find a small pot but my son did on the last night.
Overall we had a lovely stay and would highly recommend to anyone who wants to stay central.

Cozy cottage on the pond
Our family enjoyed this wonderful cottage. The home was clean and comfortable and the yard is beautiful and very relaxing. The location is great - in a quiet neighborhood with a short path down to the pond from the yard. Our family enjoyed the water and the central location on the Cape. Easy starting point to explore lots of towns and beaches. Thank you for the great week!

Centerville Cottage
Lovely home in a really nice secluded area. Home was immaculate and had everything you need for a short get away. Close enough to the shopping and attractions of downtown Hyannis as well as area beaches. Perfect place for a Cape vacation. Thank you!

We spent 3 weeks at 71 Pond View in the month of June. The beaches were great, the weather was great. We were able to spend time in Cape Cod before peak season.
We enjoyed the location of the house and the neighbors were very friendly and welcoming. The lawn was maintained and the hydrangeas were beautiful. We didn't spend a lot of time at Long Pond. The pictures lead you to believe that there are kayaks and paddleboards to use but everything is locked up except the paddleboard which was in very poor shape.
We planned to bike from the house to various parts of town but the sidewalks are a bit small and not in great shape. Just an FYI for families wanting to bike around the area.
Four Seas Ice Cream is a 5 min drive from the house and very good! It was part of our daily routine after dinner.
I want to give the house 5 stars but there a few areas that fell short for us
- The kitchen is not well stocked. We had 5 pairs of tongs but not one sharp knife to be found. The coffee maker has seen better days. The reusable filter provided was a cone but the maker requires a flat filter. Add more serving dishes and more kitchen utensils.
- Get better beach chairs. We inquired about the # of beach chairs before our stay. Turnkey was not able to provide this to us. When we arrived we found 5 chairs but only 2 were useable. Of the 2 that we deemed usable, the arm rests are wooden and starting to splinter. One of them has to be at least 30 years old. I would recommend getting new chairs for your guests to use.
- Replace patio chairs. They were in bad shape.
- We did notice a VERY strong dog smell. This property does not allow pets but it was clear when we arrived that pets were there. We were able to get air freshers and notified Turnkey. I did see from a previous review that they found pet hair on the couch. Might want to get the property deep cleaned.

A great place to stay for vacationing at Mid-Cape
The recently-updated house, the yard and the garden were very well maintained. The neighborhood was very quiet. In the morning, we went kayaking on the Long Pond that had clear water and plenty of wildlife to watch. In the afternoon, beautiful oaks in the large backyard created a shade over the patio, where we enjoyed many meals and games. We also went to the spacious beaches of Centerville Harbor, which were a short drive or bike ride away. Overall, we had a great time staying in the house, and I highly recommend this rental.

Pleasant cottage
Cottage was very pleasant, like the backyard and private lake access.. only one thing which is not appreciated is cleaning of couches.. there were pet hair on the living room couch so its very difficult to sit and relax . Overall experience was nice.

Short Visit
Just in town for a three-day visit to the Cape. What a great home to stay in. We truly enjoyed it. And the location was perfect. Central to everywhere we wanted to visit. The home was clean and well appointed. We will definitely stay here again some time. Thank you!

Overall this was an excellent place to stay. Only 4 minutes to the beach and easy to get to other groceries, restaurants, and shops. Our only wish was that there was a paddleboard, kayak, or even a canoe available to use the pond. This is a beautiful property and is great for a family or small group of adults!

We fell in love with 71 Pond View! This cottage provided the perfect, first-time Cape Cod experience! It is located near Main Street in Hyannis and some of the best beaches the Cape has to offer. It has been nicely remodeled. A/C was key. The only drawback is one bathroom for 5 people, but the outdoor shower was helpful. The yard is immaculate and we enjoyed kayaking and swimming.on the lake. We would have loved to stay longer!

This cottage is great for everyone. The house is laid out perfectly and very clean. It has everything you need. The beds are very comfy. The yard is beautiful and the lake is only yards away. There are many restaurants options nearby if you don't feel like cooking. This cottage was very relaxing. We can't wait to come back.

If your looking for a great getaway this is the place to be. We went canoeing. And this house is so cozy. We had such great time and were able to relax too. It was such a great vacation. The place was nice and clean. It also had everything we needed there. It's a great place for adults and kids. I would definitely recommend it to my friends and family. Plus, there are many great restaurants all near by if you want don't want to cook. I hope other can enjoy themselves like we did.

Comfy beds, great back yard...very well set up. Nice bath....wish it had not rained so we could have enjoyed the outdoor access to the lake. Loved it here.
