Lovely apartments rooms furnished to a high standard

The location was perfect and it had everything you would need.

Everything I needed was there, and ideal for what I needed at that time. The bed was comfortable and the duvet warm. The shower was also great: hot and powerful. The village is great, small but lovely surroundings and park, nice independent shops and cafe.

The laminate flooring could have done with a few rugs on the floor as when shoes are off you need that comfort. The ground floor bathroom I did not like simply for the windows having no blinds for privacy, although the glass is frosted the shower is in view of the parking area.

The apartment was well equipped and laid out. It was very clean and comfortable. Great location for our needs. Can recommend the Crown and the Triangle Inn for traditional pubs with good food but suggest that you book ahead. Other pubs are also available if you want sport TVs etc.

The double bed would benefit from a king size duvet for couples.

Clean, modern finish whilst retaining interesting original features. Well thought-out layout and spacious open plan sitting area/diner/kitchen. Loved the super-sized wooden coffee table. Kitchen well stocked with equipment. Good local information. Fast and stable WiFi.

Shower tray was slow to drain.

The apartment was perfect all round, very good quality furnishings, comfortable and we were able to keep our cycles in a locked shed. Sian, our host was very amenable, helpful and accessible at all times. The Bear is no longer a pub but was central in the town with super access to convenient stores and eating places. An ideal location for walking and cycling. Parking is off road and adjacent to the apartment. The ground floor appt was perfect for our cycling needs. Cheapest cost on the website too as Airbnb we're far more expensive. Can thoroughly recommend as the hosts were exceptionally helpful and eager to please with nothing being too much trouble.

Nothing re the apartment, but the weather could have been drier but we managed some very good Elan Trail cycling each day.

Super clean and tidy. Everything you need was there, great co-op across the road. Sian was lovely and we are going to book again for next year, as are all the other guests who stayed this weekend. EXCELLENT

The Bear's Den was neat, spotlessly clean and as described. Location is excellent, near to local shops and bars and only an hour's walk/10 minute drive to the picturesque Elan valley. I was greatly warmly by my host, who throughout gave good communication but otherwise left me to myself.

I visited in February to do some thinking and planning for work, so spent more time in the accommodation than most. I found the wifi slow at times - 4G phone hotspot was quicker. Heating times couldn't be adjusted, and being February, it was sometimes a little chilly during middle of the day (when the heating was off). I'm sure if I'd asked for the timer to be changed, that might have been arranged. Overall though, an excellent stay.

Everything. It was amazing. Easy friendly check in. Spotlessly clean and everything you need provided. Comfy bed and pillows. Comfy sofa we want those cushions at home.

Going home

The accommodation was spotlessly clean, beds comfortable and excellent location.

One possible improvement for the apartment to have independent heating control but we were staying during a wet/cold week in mid winter, otherwise outstanding value for money.

The accommodation was very clean and well equipped in the kitchen area. The bathroom was well presented and well cleaned.

We objected to having to take our own towels as this was not described anywhere in the booking.com listing: in fact quite to the contrary, the listing mentioned towels specifically in the COVID-19 hygiene section. We were most disappointed to find a small double bed rather than a standard double - this was not made clear in the listing and had we known we would have steered clear. Only one pillow per person was provided which we found difficult and in fact we ended up using a cushion off the sofa to supplement our head height overnight! The quality of the provided toilet roll was very poor and necessitated an immediate trip to a corner shop. The small step at the end of the alley to access the property was dangerous because the security lighting in the area was not triggered until we had (usually) tripped up the step on our return after dinner in the dark. We were surprised to discover that we had no control over the central heating (controlled remotely by the owners presumably) and given the very thin duvet provided, we found ourselves very cold on the first night and needed to wear socks in bed!

Not having ANY control on heating timing did not suit our needs felt chilly after 10pm and too hot in bed at 7am This was in Autumn and mild conditions would potentially be very cold in winter

The apartment had a kitchen and was clean and a nice spacious size for one person. Also being centrally located was advantageous. The host is a nice person, who put me at my ease.

For the winter I would suggest a few extra blankets on the bed.

The property was very clean and spacious, larger than the photos suggested.

Location was very close to all of the towns facilities. All you need is in the apartment and its in great condition and very clean. Very friendly helpful owner. Handy onsite parking. Plenty of places to eat and drink within a very short walk.

Personal thing - it would be handier to have towels provided (rather than have to take wet towels to next destination) and also a couple of extra pillows for those of us who need the extra height
