We planned a girls weekend in Colorado Springs and found this perfect gem of a place to be our main hub. The location is in a great neighborhood within 10 miles of the Springs. Downtown Monument is a 3 minute drive and has convenient restaurants and shopping. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen stocked with dishes and soap, and the water pressure in the shower was the best I’ve had in years!! The hot tub was hot and easy to operate. Towels were provided too!! We highly recommended this spot for 2-4 people wanting to explore southern Colorado.

Upon arrival at the property we discovered that the property had not been cleaned as described by the cleaners and by the host as well. The bed sheets, covers, mattress protectors were badly soiled with blood and spots all over. We contacted the host via the app trying resolve this issue and was told that they really cared about customer service, but upon further requests it was obvious they did not care at all. We submitted pictures of the badly soiled beds to the host and also the property management team, only to be told that they believed the cleaning team had done their job 2 days prior. Those beds have not been cleaned in a long time! I would love to be able to show pictures on here showing how disgusting they were. I also tried getting some type of reimbursement from them, and also Vrbo but no one cared and that our concerns were minor issues that were just trivial. I will never ever use this company again and I highly discourage anyone else from ever renting from this host! The pictures on the description don’t show you the filthy, disgusting condition of the beds and the bathroom. We had to go and buy disinfectant wipes to clean the toilet and bath tub before we could even use them. We left the property the next morning and refused to stay for the remainder of our intended stay. We rented a hotel that was 10 times cleaner than this property. Absolutely terrible host!! DO NOT RENT THIS PLACE!

Truly great scenery getting there and in that location, walking distance from the lake and the hot tub was amazing! Got to view the beautiful night sky. My boyfriend and I had an amazing time.

Enjoyed the home and its location near a small neighborhood with local shops, food and lake. Access to interstate was close so easy to get around Monument and Colorado Springs. The house had everything we needed and we enjoyed our stay.

The rental unit was perfect, clean and had all the comforts necessary to enjoy our stay in Monument. Was a nice place to get away from the hectic pace of life and reflect upon the finer simple pleasures away from all the distractions of and follies of daily survival.The area reminded me of the small town I grew up in before everything was gentrified and developed into an urban jungle.

The house was inviting with plenty of room, and it was clean.
I wish we had a better view to the mountains, but, overall, a nice place.
The driveway to get to the unit was tight if the house in front of it had vehicles parked too far over.

The house was cute and had everything we needed. We stayed for a week.
The value was good. It was affordable and all 6 of us were comfortable.
I read previous reviews and the owners have really stepped up and responded to requests like mirrors in bedrooms and additional window coverings for privacy.
The location was the least satisfactory part of our stay. It was more remote than I realized. There was a second Vrbo on the property (the main house) and the other families kept partially parking on the driveway blocking us in. We had to back down a long, narrow driveway to get out.
There were signs up asking for quiet hours to start at 7. I understand there are neighbors, but I thought the hours were very restricting.

We noticed the first day that there were ants in the kitchen and living room area. We have a 9 month old that is on the move so we were constantly killing them as we saw them. The couch was pretty dirty. We laid extra sheets over it as we did not feel comfortable sitting on it otherwise. It is nicely decorated and the hot tub was great! Since this was/is a garage, it sits behind the house and there is no where to turn around. You either have to back in or reverse out to the street.

The beds were comfortable and the hot tub was a nice touch! Overall it was a nice place to stay, but there were a few things that were missed such as:
- We could not get the outside string lights over the hot tub to work, maybe the outlet is broken?
- The side yard was neat, but the grass was very tall and needed cutting.
- The couch in the living room was comfortable, but very worn out.
- The floors were not completely swept as we noticed some grittiness walking bearfoot.
The location was very convienent to downtown Monument and Lake Palmer, so that was a big plus for us!

This cottage is a gem! King beds in both bedrooms, everything but food stocked, including shampoo, conditioner and body wash! Washer and dryer. Private hot tub. Everything is updated and the unit very clean! Will definitely stay here again!

I’m sad to leave this review because we did overall enjoy our stay. The cottage was adequate, in a nice area, and was ideal for our weekend stay. There were a few minor “issues” during our stay, such as the couch having a large rip on the back of it, the washing machine is moldy/mildewy, some areas were noticeably not thoroughly cleaned when we arrived (see the corresponding listing for a house on the property where reviews note that the cleaners are not very thorough/detailed), and the large window on the front door creates a lack of privacy (which I see multiple people have previously commented on and apparently still yet to be resolved….). Our biggest issue came after we checked out and were told that a “large” urine stain was left on one of the beds that soaked all the way through the mattress cover and onto the mattress. Myself, my husband, nor my child peed on the bed. I am 100% certain we did not cause this and I believe that IF there was even a stain it was left before we got there and under the covers that we never pulled back. It is a decent place but apparently if you decide to stay here you should make sure to take pictures when you arrive so you are not wrongly blamed for damage when you leave.

This little cottage was perfect for me and my partner! The location is great. Perfect distance from shops and restaurants. Close to the interstate to head to Colorado Springs, Castle Rock/Denver. Would absolutely stay here again. Thanks for having us!

A pleasant smaller house with everything we needed. Unfortunately the hot tub heater was out so no spa treatment this time. No big deal as we were plenty busy

The overall stay here was ok me and my family enjoyed ourselves but there were a few minor things though. This were no curtains on the front door and kitchen window that was kind of creepy We made due though. In the front bedroom this is some sort of water leakage seeping through the cracks in the floor and NO tvs in any bedroom other than that things were good plus the hottub was a great touch to our long days. Thank you for you guys hospitality I appreciate it.

I have rented multiple properties through VRBO. This was by far the best. Beautiful little house, washer and dryer for extended travelers, dishwasher in the kitchen, hot tub to soak your bones after long car rides, and close to most of the local attractions. Comfy bed, clean bath and kitchen, easy access to parking, neighborhood was quiet and inviting. Absolutely no complaints at all!

This was a cute house to stay at and the location was great.
The only thing we would say is there was no curtains in the kitchen window and in the window on the front door, other than that all was great. Good communication.

Great for a week getaway
Love the handy access to USAFA, grocery, and mountain vistas. Both this property and the larger house appear to be owned by the same owner. There is a rail line fairly close by but relatively quiet. Screens on the windows would be a great add. Owner was responsive to a repair need, and service person was awesome, and cleared up a merky hot tub too! Laundry worked great! We hope we left the property cleaner than we found it. Overall, the space was quiet, worked great for three people, and the kitchen had all the things you’d need to create some home-cooking during your stay. If you’re driving bring some patio chairs to enjoy the beautiful outdoors.

Pikes Peak Hiking Trip
We loved our stay at this Monument, CO property!! The home was perfect for our group, clean, had a washer/dryer for our laundry, and the location was very convenient. We hiked Horsethief Trail to The Pancakes our first day there to assist us in acclimating and visited Cripple Creek afterwards to eat a late lunch at Maggie's. Early the next morning we were on the Pikes Peak trail by 3 am and were able to summit by 1 pm and then it was back to the house to soak our sore muscles in the hot tub. We had an easy commute to Monument, all of Colorado Springs, Manitou Springs, Woodland Park, Cripple Creek, and Denver during our stay. If you are an Air Force Academy family this is the perfect place to stay for easy/quick access to the North Gate (less than 5 min).
Ryan was so responsive during our stay and was very proactive in informing us about his property.
We will for sure stay here again soon!!

Great Colorado get away.
The place was clean and nice. It just needs a few mirrors in the bedrooms. We had a wedding to go to so one mirror in the bathroom was hard with 4 people getting ready. Other than that I would definitely stay there again.
