Lovely home and worked well for our family. We had to mind our step into the bedroom and bathroom as well as the older house quirks such as hot is cold. Peggy Sue and Jay were wonderfully sweet and thoughtful hosts! The house was stocked well for cooking minus salt, pepper and a cheese grater. We appreciated the games and brochures as well as the security of the gate.

This property was perfect for our Everglades getaway. The owners were super nice and helpful, and the house has everything you could possibly need.

I would really like to give 10 stars if I can. Me, my wife and my 2 kids went on the trip for 10 days in various places in Florida and stayed for 3 nights here in this property. This is the best place we have stayed in the trip and really enjoyed the stay. A nice little place with 3 bedrooms and a restroom with a nice kitchen and living room. A warm welcome from the owners and explained the things quickly and the cottage is ours with lot of trees and private area. The house was very clean and had all the basic necessary things. All other places we stayed were in Downtown and busy area so this is very good and a quiet area like country side feeling, but quick to everything. It is a nice feel to have a coffee outside watching birds and some peacocks near by in the trees. Really it is a hidden cottage. Some minor change of plans for us and want to leave very early morning so informed the owner and they happily addressed and was there for any help if needed. Definitely will stay here again if we visit Miami or will visit to just stay here and enjoy the time.

Our family spent our time visiting Biscayne and Everglades National Park (both north and south side). This property was the perfect location that was in a safe, quiet neighborhood. There was even a gate on the driveway that provided us with extra piece of mind. We didn't spend many hours of the day at the house but the house provided what we needed in the evenings. Laundry, fully updated kitchen, nice bathroom and bedrooms. The owners responded quickly to our questions and we knew that would have helped us in any way. We were very blessed to find such a sweet couple to host our family of 4.

We stayed here for 3 nights. It's a lovely cottage that is perfect for an Everglades visit, as it's roughly halfway between the southern and northern entrances. The hosts, Peggy Sue and Jay, met us at the property to give us the key and gave us a short tour. Everything was very clean and as described in the listing. Highly recommend staying here.

This is a great location - not too far from many things to do. Neat being in the middle of the ag district. Clean and fully stocked. Perfect for what we needed. Owners were friendly on arrival and departure but left us to ourselves during our stay.

Host was very nice and caring. She had made us muffins and was very responsive when we had questions. She supplied us with everything we needed. The location was very secluded and secure.

Peggy Sue was a wonderful host, check in was easy and the muffins and bottled water were an extra (and appreciated!) bit of care. Great kitchen, comfy living spaces and beds and location was central to what we needed. Would definitely recommend if you need a home away from home in the Homestead area!

We really enjoyed staying at this cottage in homestead. It was the perfect location for the Everglades, keys, and Biscayne NP and the perfect size for our family of four. Our kids were stoked to have their own rooms with full sized beds. The kitchen was well stocked and very clean. The property was amazing with palm trees and mango trees. We loved all the agriculture surrounding the house and would love to stay there again!

A delightful place in a perfect location. Far enough from the bustle that the nights were dead quiet, close enough to everything you could want from Southern Florida. The owners are helpful, friendly and considerate, with an extra personal touch as they live right next door. A true gem of a property, I look forward to my next visit!

Our family of 4 had a perfect stay. We used this as our home base for visiting Biscayne, Everglades, and the Keys. All was fantastic.

The location is in a quiet neighborhood with the owners living adjacently. There is a gated entrance. While the house has a unique layout, it is very clean, comfortable and quite tastefully decorated. The owner was VERY accommodating and helpful without being intrusive. It is located within easy driving distance of the Everglades and the Florida keys.

Close to everything you need. Clean & tidy, well equipped but basic first floor apartment with balcony overlooking the pedestrian walkway leading to the Old Town Square. Fisherman’s Beach is 50 metres away. Supermarket 2 minute walk away. Would definitely stay here again.

We loved staying in this home. It was very clean and comfortable. Peggy & Jay were only concerned about our comfort. When we arrived after dark, they were available to make sure we found our way in this quiet, dark area. They greeted us & the muffins & water provided meant we didn't have to run for groceries. We visited Everglades, Big Cypress, Biscayne NP & airboat ride and this home was perfect location. We liked the quiet, agricultural area. Thank you, Peggy & Jay!

Peggy Sue and Jay are amazing. They made all aspects of our stay perfect. The met us when we arrived and explained how everything worked and even worried about noise which was not an issue for us. The house was older, but spotless. 3 bedrooms even!

I chose this cottage for its proximity to Biscayne and Everglades National Parks and ended up with so much more. Peggy Sue met us at the gate to the property and gave us a tour. She explained how to use everything and even provided us with breakfast muffins. The cottage was spotlessly clean when we arrived and was fully stocked with all the essentials we needed. I highly recommend a stay here and will certainly book again if I’m in the area.

We wanted somewhere close to the Everglades, so we booked this place for the location. We were pleasantly surprised at how accommodating it was! The hosts were incredibly hospitable. They even had muffins for us when we arrived and sent us off with avocados from their trees (not that you should expect them to do this, but they were really lovely)! They live on property in another building, so they were accessible but also provided us with privacy and gave us space. Even though it was an older building, they had clearly updated it. The air conditioning was a huge plus and it seems they thought of everything when stocking the kitchen. We had a great time and would definitely stay here again.

Absolutely loved this property in Homestead. It was cute, clean and the hosts were very gracious. Communicating with Peggy Sue and Jay was a breeze, they were courteous, warm (welcomed us with yummy cupcakes) and very helpful in getting us situated. The home itself was well kept, maintained and very very cozy. Peggy Sue and Jay made sure that the home was stocked with necessities and extras that one would need on a daily basis. It was an absolute pleasure staying in their home and talking to them just before we left. I wish all homes and hosts on VRBO were like them. Would surely stay there again when we visit next.
