Beach with tide out is the bonus . Relatively uncrowded and friendly neighbours. Speed limit should be 30.

We'd never been up Island before so our booking here was a shot in the dark. Overall we were pleased. The location was across the street from beach access with chairs, mats & towels were all available for our use. Also the fact that the back yard was fenced was a plus since we had our dog with us. The cottage itself was quite interesting, clearly a remodel of an old structure that looked to be done by a do-it-yourselfer. I loved the glass ceiling over the shower and the tile work was unique. The kitchen had a combination of new appliances with an old or retro refrigerator. It would have been nice to have ice in the freezer. It was great to have a filtered water tap at the sink except that it dripped continuously. I loved the openness of the floorplan in the main part of the cottage. The kind sized bed was super comfy. The front porch was a great place to sit in the morning with a cup of tea. Overall I'd recommend this location.

House was tidy and very pleasant other than windows being screen less and older so not easy to open. And the washer smelled very badly of mildew. We cleaned it with products to remove smell because the one load we did smelled awful after. This was minor and remedied. I never mentioned it to the host. Sure he’d have been receptive to my comments as he was pleasant and easy to deal with. Location was fantastic!! It is near a naval base so you will hear planes flyover. We loved seeing them. Very cool. Right across the road is access to a beautiful beach with a gorgeous view of the distant mountains. We loved our stay!!

Lovely little spot with a great location

Amazing beach house that I booked last minute. Very easy and smooth booking process. It's a beautiful older house with lovely hard wood flooring. Private backyard with BBQ. Full washer and dryer. Very comfy king bed. Great shower with sky light. I love the sunroom. Lovely airflow through the whole house that smelled of jasmine.I love the decor, felt welcoming Kitchen has all you need and then some, just bring food. Great stove! I love the keyless entry; very simple to use (at night, press the bottom left of the pad which is the home button and that lights it up). Chris, the owner is very quick to respond if you need anything. Unbelievable location. It's literally steps to the path to a gorgeous beach where the tide goes out forever and is lovely to swim. If you have kids they'll love it! Especially the warm tidal pools. Owner has some toys for kids and beach chairs. Very quiet neighborhood. I was worried about the noise being underneath a military airport but it wasn't noisy at all. You can hear the planes during the day but it's not a busy airport; the planes neither woke me nor kept me awake and were never a bother and I don't like noise. It was very difficult to leave! I really hope I'll be back soon!

Comfortable, cute and an amazing beach across the street. The area is quiet and the beach is right there. We were worried about the Comox Air Force base being right there but only once did we hear a loud jet taking off. We would stay at the cottage again. It is set up for comfort and had a good bed.

Wow! The best beach in Comox is right across the street! Amazing neighbourhood with wonderful areas to walk. Extremely comfortable beds and a cozy livingroom. Beautiful bathroom and a cute kitchen. WiFi was awesome for work and streaming. A little far from shopping, groceries and restaurants. But that is what makes this quiet little hideaway so special. We will be back!

We felt so cozy and welcomed in this place. Most impressed with the interior design and it made us feel like it was our family cottage filled with tiny momentos and family games. The few days had us feeling that we were being immersed in the culture of the city and that we belonged there and weren't just passing through. Thank you for the high end appliances, Paderno pots and everything needed to make kitchen magic happen. Beds were super comfy, bedding was super clean and nice furniture. Chris is a super host and very responsive. Hope to come again.

So cute. This cabin was just what we needed for a place to stay while we skied Mount Washington. Attentive care by owner, as well.

A wonderful location, and the property was well-maintained and exceptionally prepared for a great vacation. Our start was a bit odd though. After traveling for two long days, we arrived code-in-hand only to find ourselves locked-out. Our cell phones did not work (coming from the US), so went to a neighbor to call our host. No answer, and filled mail-box so could not leave a message. We were stuck… and tired… with no way to get in. Drove to our son’s home (15 minutes away) and called again. This time host answered, and said we had arrived too early. (We did not, arrived at 3:45 p.m.). Host also said he saw us go to the neighbors - on a security camera no doubt - so it made us wonder …. why not let us in. There was clearly no one in the cottage. So we went to get something to eat, returned two and a half hours later, in the dark, only to find the front door to the property wide open, unsecured, pitch dark, very cold inside, and no one around. My wife was freaked out (to say the least). I checked the place and no one was inside and it appeared fine. My wife was not sure if we should stay or not, but we did - closed and locked the doors, turned the heat on, and stayed. All that said, it did turn out fine in the end. It was a beautiful and cozy place to stay, we cooked some nice meals and enjoyed the evenings with our son and his wife, and visiting my mother. Even celebrated my birthday the last evening there. So despite the lock-out and then the very odd ‘door left wide open in the dark’ beginning, we would highly recommend the place.

Such a cozy Cottage. Quaint style, contains everything one needs. Cool mornings or evenings, curling-up with a book in front of fireplace so relaxing. Super location for Beach Roaming. We arrived after sunset, exteriors/entry lights on, made one feel so welcome. Will certainly seek it out for future getaways.

Excellent experience!! Cannot say enough about this cozy little beach cottage, the street and residents were very welcoming, perfect proximity to the beach. The host was always very quick to answer any questions that we had. Thanks again for our stay !

This property on Kye Bay beach was an excellent house in an incredible area, it allowed us to throughly enjoy everything the beach and Comox has to offer. Chris was extremely easy to communicate with and super accommodating. Thanks so much!

This property is much larger than the photos show, as a family of 4 with children we couldn’t have asked for more. Everything we could possibly need was provided. Beach toys for the kids, camp chairs for the beach abs beach towels were all provided! The beds were also very comfortable and everything was very clean and organized. We had a cozy 3 nights and wish it could have been longer, we were not ready to go, it truly felt like an escape.

This cottage is full of personality and is located close to a wonderful beach. It was a great home base to relax, prepare meals, play games and explore Comox and the surrounding areas.

We enjoyed our stay. The property was "as advertised", clean and very close to the beach access.
