Excellent accommodation with a great host. Will definitely be returning to this fantastic holiday establishment!!

Quiet location with privat pool, very nice new and clean house, large and equiped with everything necessary (including coffee machine :-)). Beach with sand is about 200m (walk). If you have a car as we had, you can visit many nice places around - different kind of beach (sand, rocks, etc.), lighthouse, hiking.... Lixouri city is 10min by car, supermarket 8min, gas stations 7 min. Owner is very friendly and he is trying to help with everything you need. We were very satisfied. Ideal place for families.

We were a family with 2 adults and 2 teens, and Spiros, the friendly owner, welcomed us with an inviting platter of fresh fruit and a chilled bottle of tasty Kefalonia white wine. The 2 bedroom "Sunrise" villa is extremely comfortable and roomy with high ceilings, everything is brand new, designed and tastefully decorated to a very high spec by Spiros himself. The bedrooms are large and the beds are very comfortable, the kitchen is fully equipped, includes Nespresso coffee machine, filter coffee machine, kettle, juicer, microwave, modern ceramic hob, dishwasher, etc, with air conditioning in each room. The outside area has an excellent swimming pool and is fully furnished, exposed to the sun all day, surrounded by gardens with fruit and olive trees, with some quite interesting insects and birds! The 2 bedroom villa doesn't have the mezzanine lounge like the 3 bedroom villas because it is designed to be fully wheelchair accessible, but we didn't miss it at all as we spent most of the evenings at the table outside playing cards All 3 villas are independent and private, serviced by a cleaner every other day, so all linen, towels and floors are always fresh and clean. The location is great, with sea view, and in the evening you can clearly hear the sound of the rolling waves, hence the name Sound of Sea. There is a good beach with a couple of excellent tavernas 5 minutes walk, but we also had a car to explore the island's breath-taking beaches. Spiros was a perfect host, he goes the extra mile to ensure his customers leave fully satisfied, and is always available if you need anything at all or for a chat We were really sad to leave, but we hope to come back to these villas next time we visit Kefalonia. The Sound of Sea villas are set in a beautiful location close to the beach which is accessed by a short 3 minute walk through olive groves. Each villa has its own swimming pool and the way they are laid out gives very good privacy. The grounds are beautifully maintained. Nothing is too much to ask from Spiros, the owner. He will provide fresh towels and bed linen on request. The villas are very well equipped. Once we worked it out, the air conditioning was very quiet and effective with a remote control for adjusting the temperature in each room. Each bedroom is en-suite. Spiros came to meet us when we arrived in Lixouri on the ferry boat from Argostoli to make sure we didn't get lost on the winding roads of Lixouri. When we arrived at the villa there was a nice bottle of chilled Kefalonian wine and fresh fruit courtesy of our host. The villa is very close to beautiful beaches and being on the west coast of Kefalonia the sunsets are stunning. There are some good tavernas within easy walking distance or if you want to do your own cooking there is a BBQ by the pool well stocked with charcoal. We particularly enjoyed Capitain Nicholas which is only a 10 minute walk away. The Lixouri peninsula is a very quiet, relatively undeveloped, rural area so it is perfect for a laid back and relaxing holiday. A car is essential to explore the area and other parts of Kefalonia. Sound of Sea villas have everything you will need, they are modern, very well equipped with good wifi and are a Mediterranean home from home. Spiros is a great host who will ensure you have a comfortable stay and is always on hand to provide anything you need.

The area has no local shops, so nearest shops are a 15 minute drive into Lixouri. But there is a large fridge for everything once you have bought it in Lixouri.

Everything was excellent Spiros was a great host, perfect little getaway near the sea. The villa was beautifully configured well equipped and very clean. The property has a lot of privacy and it’s only 10 minutes from Lixouri. I would definitely recommend this property to any of my friends and family. Thank you Spiro for a lovely stay!!!

It was a beautiful clean villa in a lovely remote area of Kefalonia. Our hosts were so welcoming and made us feel like a home from home. The local beach is lovely to swim in and very safe. The pool was a great hit with our children. The property is thoroughly cleaned every two days and nothing was too much. We received great tips about where to eat and visit and had a fabulous 12 day stay.

We loved everything about this beautiful place.

Everything was perfect! We were 3 couples in a 3 bedroom villa. All the items in the house were clean and new, kitchen fully equipped, each room had an en suite bathroom. Cleaning lady came every 2 days and cleaned the house. On the terrace, we had 6 sunbeds with 3 umbrellas. Pool could be used anytime and was cleaned daily. Also there was a barbeque which we used on the last day. The property is located in a quiet place. The beach near it is at 7 minutes by foot. The road that leads to it is through a forest of pines, it is unlit, but perfectly doable during the day. Near the beach, there are 2 restaurants, both with very good food. Our host, Spiros, was extremely hospitable and helpful, waiting us with some on the house refreshments and even giving us his beach recomandations.

Loved the Villa it is brand new and the host is so welcoming and friendly. The place is serviced and kept immaculate. We really didn’t want to leave.
