It was a good place but not great. For the price, I expected much better.

River is just 5steps away from stay and the sound of river is like lullaby. Loved this place

When we arrived, I was a bit dismayed by the exterior of the hotel. It was deceiving - the room was beautiful with a view to the river right behind us. The rooms were clean, the breakfast very good, and the hotel right in town so we could walk to restaurants and shop. I would definitely recommend this property.

I loved how convenient the property was to downtown. The apartment was the perfect stay for 3 people.

Basalt is a gorgeous little town 20 minutes from Aspen. The hotel isn’t too inviting from the outside but the rooms are updated and super comfortable! Friendly check in and just being right in the town and on the river makes for a lovely stay

I love waking up to the sound of the river, walking out of my room to be able to sit next to the river. The rooms are very comfortable, walkable to many wonderful restaurants and local beauty and hikes. Perfect for me and my family.

The Aspenalt Lodge is an appealing, budget-friendly option on the river right in historic downtown Basalt and an easy drive to the ski areas. Front desk was friendly, our room was clean and comfortable; breakfast was decent, with some higher-quality options like better bread, coffee, and really good apple juice. The only downside was the strong cleaning agent odor in our room when we arrived. Kind of a sweet chemical smell. Not very good air circulation, so we had to open our window and door wide for 15 minutes to get the smell to abate. Would recommend a more natural cleaning agent without such a toxic artificial odor.

Simple low-key property that worked well for a budget-friendly stay close to Aspen. Located a minute walk from the bus route which was really convenient. Liked how quiet the room was. Free breakfast was a bonus.

Breakfast was terrible, toast or frozen burrito. Room was below average for the price. The warning about $100 reset fee if you change settings on the tv were enough to put me off from even using it.

Our stay started rough. We were not aware that the hotel was an OTA Hotel Collect hotel. We were charged by Hotels for the hotel first then again at check-in. Hotels has not made this right yet but I am confident that they will. The hotel itself was nice, it is not anywhere near Aspen like we thought and Ubers/Lyfts are extremely hard to rely on. We figured out the bus system after the first day as we were there for a 2-day festival in Aspen. The other issue was, that the maid service came literally at 9:00 on all days even on check-out day. We were under the impression that if we wanted maid service we needed to ask for it and not wake up at 9:00 after a very late night. Other than that it was a great hotel.

Staying at The Aspenalt is a treat; fun motel, great location in Basalt, close to wonderful restaurants, also quick bus ride into Aspen.

Shower was not working .. central heating was not good . Receptionist said as very good in helping us .. just the room was below quality for 200$

Very nice room with comfortable beds. Located next to a stream - wonderful, soothing sound. We will definitely stay there again if we return to Snowmass.

I don’t remember the females name that checked me in. But she was so friendly and gave us a free upgrade with a river view. My husband was so excited! We got to our room and it was perfect. I loved that they had a blanket on the bed. Didn’t see the other one until I hung something’s up in the closet. Me and my husband sat outside and listened to the water. We got up ate breakfast and went and watched the wildlife play in the river. It was perfect.

Very clean, quiet, great location. All in all, many positives and no negatives.
