I did not even stay one night. Drug addicts and drug dealers. Room wasn't ready and I arrived at 6p.m.. Asked for non-smoker, it smelled of cigarettes, bed cover had cigarette burns, didn't change the sheets.TV only picked up 1 channel. People everywhere, living there.

Nice peaceful stay an decent rate. Haven't seen the deposit hold come up off my account yet on my card,other than that it was good experience.

When we got there they told us that they weren’t affiliated with Hotels.com so we didn’t have a room. They had one left and it was smoking. ☹️☹️ We took it anyway because it was late. The room wasn’t very clean. The bathtub was dirty and there was one tiny bar of soap, no Kleenex, and no coffee not even any I. The lobby the next morning. No breakfast of any kind. There was noise all night. We wouldn’t stay there again.

I enjoyed myself at this hotel. The people were friendly and it was convenient to interstate 75. But is could use some sprucing up around the pool area and the rooms do need to be updated. All in all, it was Ok for the money value. We used this hotel because we wanted a day away from the house and to spend the day around the pool. Probably will do it again before the summer is over!

The hotel looked a little run down but served our one night stay. Don't be alarmed with the restaurant music next door the room are very sound proofed.

Rooms were very old and worn. Lots of rips in wallpaper. Bathroom tub took 10 minutes to drain. Mold everywhere. Pillows were old and hard.

Room was not clean we had to clean the shower, no towels or shampoos were in the room, the curtains were broken, there was no hot water, there were holes in the walls, and they didnt inform us of the continental breakfast hours.

Place was exactly as expected. Pictures were accurate and staff was nice enough. Didn't have extra pillows on request. Really bad storm happened on last day and there was some water dripping into room from AC/heater.

Hotel room didn't have that awful hotel room smell!! Was located right beside interstate 75. Staff was constantly walking the premises which made us feel safer.

two people were tasered down the hall from me. Not the ideal thing for my three year olds to see.

This was one of the worst hotels I have stayed in. What is worse, is this was a family trip. So many out of the way surfaces had obviously not been cleaned in many months. The floor looked and felt more like a carpeted auto shop. The mattresses, if you can call them that, were just wire frames that creaked very loudly and activated pressure points I never knew I had.

The location was nice that it was right off the highway and easy to find. The employees were rude and very unfriendly, and the manager, KP was no exception, she even rolled her eyes at us when we asking questions. The rooms even though it said non-smoking still reeked of smoke, it was very dirty, there were cigarette burns in our comforter and sheets. The towels had stains on them and there was even a dirty used towel left in our bathroom hanging over the shower, and there was even hair left in the drains. The rooms were so dirty we wouldn't even shower there. It also said that breakfast was included but when we went down to get some food there was only a piece of bread left. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, it was absolutely the worst hotel I have ever stayed in.

The hotel was the worst representation of a Howard Johnson I have ever encountered. My 14 & 16 yr old sons did not want to stay in the room. The "breakfast" was two urns of stale cereal, a pitcher of warm milk, two slices of old breaqd and three muffin tops. We asked for additional towels - four people were in the room (notified when we registered) and had only two towels. We received a grunt from the man at the front desk when we asked for the additional towels. We did not get the towels. There was a soggy hole in our wall with a lage water stain. The sheets did not fit the mattress correctly and when they pulled off various stains were present. The air conditioner did not blow cold or even cool air the entire night. We did not stay for the second night we had paid for. Please close this location obviously the owners have already done so.

Was the worst conditions I have ever seen, bugs flying and crawling in the room hair all over the bed. The room was not fit for any living thing.

this was a have to stay at for the night hotel. the building is falling apart the room wasnt clean and they share the parking lot with a bar full of drunks that make lots of noise and problems. will not be staying at this hotel ever again. only good side was they was cheap. took them a few tries to find my reservation but they finally found it. the rooms smelled bad and you could hear all the noise from the people outside till the wee hours of the morning.

For the price, it's what you'd expect. I'd say one of the benefits of this hotel was the free WIFI in the room that was relatively fast.

The hotel was not as bad as the reviews. Trust me it is by far not the Hilton. But for the money it was a good deal. Room was pretty clean, bed was a little hard. But all in all a great room for the price.

Located behind a brewery in lovely Cartersville, GA, this hotel is one you want to AVOID AT ALL COSTS! The neighborhood is shaky at best but the hotel makes the neighborhood look like Beverly Hills. The hotel is disgusting. There are cracks in the walls outside which means there are likely bugs inside. The air conditioners were all bent up. It is very scary there and I refused to stay there with my teenage daughter and our dog. I have never been so disappointed in my life with a hotel and I've traveled extensively during my time in the military. In my humble opinion, stay away from Howard Johnson Express, Cartersville, GA. By the way, DON'T TRUST THE PICTURES.

The staff was excellent.

The pictures on the web sight were not really true of the actual condition. Although clean the bathroom was especially not suitable. The tub had repaired tiles at different angles etc.It looked like any repaires had been made by unskillful personel. Any grouting work was sloppy and spotty. The toilet leaked back into the corner. The tv remote did not work. It was clean but I would not stay there again.

The rooms were clean and beds comfortable. But the check in procedure was horrible. We had 7 rooms reserved and desk clerk spent over an hour trying to find our reservation. It seems he didnt know how to use a computer.We had our conformation #'s in hand and still were told they didnt have rooms for us. Finally a manger showed up and found them on them computer and all was well. On a good note the bar next door has the best wings I have ever had.

Picked due to location of appointment next morning. Moderately worn/used facility. Rooms were quiet and comfortable. Nothing fancy. On site restaurant was a bar, very loud and smoky. Drove to down for dinner.

Hotel had no Internet access, not even at the desk. Bed was shaped like a bathtub.

sheets didn't fit the bed so it untucked just by opening the covers. Also, all the pillows were way past there service life.
