Located opposite the main train station with buses to the airport, and easy access to the city center, this cozy hotel is perfect. Large rooms, clean, with comfortable beds and very quiet. Restaurants and coffee shops nearby. I highly recommend

Very well located with helpful staff who provided excellent advise. The only drawback for me was a complicated shower. Minor challenge.

We stayed for one night and had a very pleasant stay. Easy to check in and very nice room. Breakfast was also alright.

The property was perfectly located for my needs after arriving via train from Germany. It was also very clean, however the room was incredibly stuffy and hot. There was no ability to change or modify the temperature in the room and We could not open the windows so it was pretty uncomfortable even though it wasn’t a particularly hot day. I might opt for an alternative hotel in the summer.

One night stop. There was no air conditioning, no fan, the windows being open wasn’t an option bc of the street noise and light. It was so hot and uncomfortable in our room we hardly slept. However if you were to go in the winter it would be a nice hotel. The location is very close to the train station. It was clean.

Hotel is well located, next to the train station and close to main attractions. Rooms are ok but service was a bit deceptive. We weren’t able to get an early check-in and ended up with 1 large bed instead of 3 as we had requested. This hotel is not ideal for family.

Nice stay, wonderful staff, very clean, great location. a few minor negatives, twin room was a bit on the small side, outside needs a pressure jet cleaning and some of the interior decor is a bit tired.

Positive experience but we had only a window and the view was on the roof!! I advise you to ask a better room with a view!! Cleaning and breakfast were excellent! No other problem!!

The location is walkable to the attractions and convenient to the train station. Rooms are clean.

It is really strange to let people book a night after you’ve closed the reception and not even open the door when they ring the bell. And when finally another guests helps you in you find staff that doesn’t see the problem. And a room with a coffee machine for which the cups don’t match in size so it splashes all over. Seems unprofessional and not really worth the money

Staff was fantastic. Could use some updates to the property, but it was very clean and nice.

The hotel is extremely clean and comfortable. The staff are amazing the receptionist was friendly and knowledgeable and recommended a great restaurant very close by. The attendant at the breakfast offered by the hotel was very friendly, helpful and patient. The receptionist also arranged a late checkout which was very nice as we are nearing the end of a long journey and we have a long layover in Basel. Overall a wonderful stay in a comfortable place.

The circulation areas are in very poor condition. Pencil writing graffiti on walls on level two is not acceptable and certainly not for the three/ four star hotel it is advertised as. Had I not arrived late to Basel I would have moved hotel. The half illuminated sign on the roof should have given me a headsup on the condition of some areas as I arrived. Temporary air units were dotted around reception. That said the bathroom was super clean and both receptionists were very helpful and spoke excellent English. Bedroom was clean and had nice beds. There was a safe in the room big enough to take a laptop and there was a free transport pass given on arrival. The biggest positive is the hotel is perfectly located for trams and the train station.

The hotel doesn’t have A/C in which make our room pretty hot.

It wasn’t a great stay. We didn’t have hot water the first day, and the ventilation system seemed out of service for the 3 days. We stayed end of March, and room temperature climbed to 27C every night. We kept windows open during the day to cool the room, but it wasn’t possible at night due to the traffic. At these heatwave level temperatures, it was difficult to get babies to sleep. Even though the staff knew about issues, they didn’t offer options or to relocate. Otherwise, the property is clean.

The property is very centrally located and easy to go to everywhere. Close to the main train station.

The entrance is up a flight of stairs, so be prepared if you have heavy suitcases. There is no one available to help.

We travelled to Basel by TGV. Metropol is very close to station, clean well kept hotel. convenient for trams and dining options.

Our 1st room’s noA/C so we stayed there for like 2 hours until there is available one.

We stayed here just for one night as a stopover and found it extremely uncomfortable. It was 22C degrees outside and when we arrived into the room it was like walking into a sauna. There was no air conditioning that worked. The windows opened fully so allow air in but it was very noisy outside with traffic so wasn’t ideal keeping these open all night long. Upon checking out there was no member of staff on reception and the auto check out machine wasn’t working so we had to just abandon our key on the reception desk and hope it would be ok. Not a great stay.

This is one of the hotels in the sorounding of the Basel Train Station. Most of the reception and dining facilities are provided in the neighbor Euler Hotel. I was there only one night, checking in at 6 pm and leaving next morning at 4:30 am, so I had no time for breakfast and only used the room. Room was quite small but was well furnished and clean.

Everything is great, except there’s no air conditioning or any air circulation in the room; in the hot summer it’s really uncomfortable particularly when outside is 37C

Public park next to the property has several layabouts doing illegal activities.
