Nice, sprawling hotel on the beautiful river leading into Lake Ontario. Great indoor/outdoor bar area on the water. The bartender was friendly, and made a delicious Old Fashioned. Only complaint is the toilet didn’t work. Assuming they could get to it right away, I didn’t want to have to deal with a plumber when I was getting ready to go to sleep. I was by myself, so I just dealt with it. I know toilets break sometimes. But I’ve experienced this same issue several times recently at different hotels, and it’s never a good thing — especially now that hotels are so incredibly expensive. The front desk lady, however, was very empathetic and responsive when I told her about it the next morning when I checked out. All in all, a nice place to stay.

The hotel is clean and well appointed. The breakfast area has ample seating and the view of the river is very nice. It’s a very short drive to Fort Ontario on the lake- a sight definitely worth visiting.

Too long a walk to room :)

The property's location on the water is nice! Issues with housekeeping, lack of wash clothes, and we had to ask for toilet paper. Issues were resolved but they were basic things that we did not expect to deal with. Breakfast onsite included with the room is a nice amenity.

I would drive 4 hours to stay somewhere else.

The stay was great. Hotel right on the water with balcony view of the river. Pool seems to give priority to health club members, and they were strict when it came to kids in the hot tub. My kids love hotels with hot tubs and we're not allowed in this one as the tenant watched to make sure they didn't enter.

Nice property along the river on a quiet street. Great views. Walk to restaurants.

Convenient to SUNY Oswego

Great experience, close to dining and recreational activities. Brittany was helpful, a resource on area and provided excellent service to our group, making our visit more enjoyable.

Surprising amount of convenient amenities in premises or within a short distance. Staff was fantastic.

Property seemed old and out of date. Great location and very convenient. Spacious room and nice breakfast.

We had an issue with our room on the first night. The staff at the desk was terrible dealing with it. The following day the day staff was very helpful. Very uncomfortable first night of sleeping. The hotel didn’t compensate enough off our stay. There were ants in our room the first night and it should have been handled properly!!

Clean hotel, friendly and accommodating staff. The breakfast was decent, but the specialty coffee machine was outstanding. I would definitely stay there again.

Breakfast was amazing. Their coffee machine is awesome! The pool could definitely be warmer. Our boys had blue lips shortly after starting our swim. The views of the river are great. Definitely would stay again

This hotel is located in the perfect spot. Walking distance to lots of places. It is right on the river. The pool and breakfast was great. Front desk was extremely helpful.

Stayed overnight for Senior Day on Easter weekend. Comfortable bed, lovely river view, friendly and helpful staff, excellent complimentary breakfast. I would definitely return.

I desired early check-in, but there were not rooms available...which I totally understand. I was told I would get a phone call as soon as the room was ready. Then others in our group (basketball parents) arrived (hours later)and were able to check in right away. I went back to the front desk and was told that rooms were not ready. I did not want to make a big fuss. I just didn't understand. Supposedly, my room type was not ready. Another hour later I checked...no room ready. Never did I receive a call, but finally six hours (plus) after my arrival, I was able to get a room. And then this room still was not the correct type!! Like....what the heck??

Great stay , great location!!

Very nice heated pool, hot tub, and even a sauna! Comfortable beds too. We had a nice time here.

Horrendous Hockey team took over hotel. I used to be a server across the street and did room service to this hotel so I know this has been going on for over 30yrs. No towels. No room in pool no where to sit at meals. Kids running up and down stairs (our room was under stairs, we were “upgraded from our quieter suite to single room with spa tub which we have at home along with large hot tub so not impressed) also our room was next to ice machine and elevator. We had to unplug phone due to prank calls. We received 20,000 bonus points as compensation but honestly I should’ve gone with financial compensation because I will never stay again. Hotel has no respect for other guests. If there was an option for zero stars I would’ve chosen that. I felt bad for staff. Hotel should refuse to allow booking to groups that refuse to control or supervise their children and respect other guests. I just lost my mother and this was our anniversary escape. I checked out a day early wasting a days cost. I will NEVER waste another penny at a best western again. Should’ve taken the refund I am kicking myself. Why did I take worthless points?

Very nice

The hotel is not new, but appears well kept and clean. Not fancy but nice. Staff is very pleasant and efficient. View of the river was great even in the winter. A very nice place to stay.

I stayed for 3 nights and room wasn’t cleaned once the entire stay. Hotel restaurant dinner was one of the worst dinners ever!

Great service and amenities.

Had to pay an unexpected incidental fee when I checked in equal to the rate I paid for the room. The shower didn't have an actual door and was just open to the rest of the bathroom with no real way to keep water within it.
