champagne served on arrival which was a nice touch also room was available early which was a great bonus. Breakfast was also very good

Very noisy throughout the night, a lot of street noise from people and also from some form of maintenance truck from 1.30 am to 3 am.

Can't say enough good things about this fabulous Hotel. It's light, bright, modern, luxurious. Staff, friendly. The Hotel is located in the heart of Broadbeach, with Restaurants, Shops & beach within walking distance. Our King Room, with Ocean views, located on the 19th floor was immaculate and spacious. The bed, super comfortable. On-site parking $25/day can be prepaid. Will definitely be back for a longer stay, next time

The property was quite tired and dated with a dreary foyer, elevators and corridors….the room had a partial sea view which I had requested and a small balcony which was nice. The bathroom was large with a full bath and amenities were excellent. Daily housekeeping was a bonus.
At first we were told we would have to pay for wifi but after complaining to reception we were given access. Staff were welcoming and helpful.
Not impressed though when tried to charge me for a room service breakfast at check out which we hadn’t had (charge was removed though) and be aware that the $300 bond is not taken as a hold on your credit card but actually charged and then refunded which means a wait for your money to be returned.

I was very impressed from the moment I arrived. Champagne on arrival and it was just a lovely way to be greeted to the hotel and I feel lots of other hotels should think about the customer journey. Even though the rooms are a little tired it was very clean and had everything you needed. Except for bottles of water in the room. Thanks

We loved our stay at the Sofitel. The room was clean and very spacious. The rooms are cleaned beautifully each day. If you have a “river facing” room you can hear the road and there are a few sirens at night. The park across the road also had a few people screaming on one day. If we stay again I will definitely ask for a beach view. The pool area was a lovely space to sit. A easy walk to the shops and the star as well as the tram stop if you want to go to Burleigh or surfers. The restaurants in Broadbeach nearby are amazing too!

First time and wont be back. Very disappointed. Room was super expensive. They're aged, very old bathroom. Old tv. To my shock, they charge $25 per 24hrs for wifi. Breakfast $45. Asked kindly for a later checkout and was told only if i pay $30 per hr. There's plenty of choices on the Coast and this hotel doesnt stack up.

The shower had mould in it, there were light fixtures that were not secured in the ceiling properly and for a “luxury room” it was very average. Will not be staying here ever again as the price was far too much for what we got

I stayed at the Star hotel the night before and for around the same amount of money, The Star is far superior. All amenities are in their building. All modern conveniences were far superior to Sofitel. You can't even just have a quick bite for breakfast at Sofitel. It's a full buffet or nothing. If i hadnt stayed at The Star first, i wouldn't have even known there was such a big difference in most areas. The staff at Sofitel are outstanding however their actual hotel lags behind the Star in all areas.

A great sized room and bathroom with adequate toiletry supplies and tea/ coffee supplies. Beds were comfortable and whole hotel clean and pleasing.
Unfortunately we did not get a room with river views as indicated in the booking form.
Was this because we used our free nights with Hotels.com I wonder!

It has become very dated and hasn't changed much over the last 10 years. Some double glazing would help with all the noise each night when the boys take their toys out around and around the roads, hour after hour. It is really noisy every night with the cars. Some updates and a small scubbing brush in bathroom corners would improve the look. We were there 10 days. We had lots of fresh towel, but not once were the sheets changed, which was a surprise. Location is great and close to needs. The bar on the ground floor that leads to the Oasis has great food and staff. We do recommend be it seriously needs an upgrade.

Lovely service and staff for a wonderful hotel. Our rooms were cleaned each day of our stay and convenient secure parking on site was wonderful. Unfortunate that a wifi service isn't included free of charge for guests as this would enhance accessibility.
