Our stay at El Emperador was excellent. We booked a suite overlooking the ocean. Everything from dining to nightlife is walking distance. The manager Gervacio and staff were excellent. The restaurant downstairs was fantastic. They give guests from the hotel a 10% discount. If you're looking for a budget hotel with great service you can't go wrong with this hotel.

It was amazing! The staff was super nice. It is in an amazing location, we were able to walk to the malecón and to Playa Conchas Chinas.

Enjoyed my 7-night stay at the Emperador. I had good internet strength for my entire stay, and that’s really key for me. The hotel was quiet (for the most ) and I enjoyed that. I was ocean front on second floor farthest away from the pier. A visit in the slow season is good for a quieter visit to Zona Romántica, I think. Given this property’s location and amazing views, I’d love to see them invest in updated televisions and room decor. The restaurant downstairs was way overpriced for the quality of the food.

Fundamentally what this hotel offers is a beautiful view from the ocean front rooms. It is clean and the staff are mostly helpful. However, the property suffers from slow Internet, a horrible stench from the shower drain, tattered cushions on the beach chairs and a requirement that the beach chairs be put away by 3 PM.

Didn’t have parking space in the hotel

Its been the 5th time we want to this hotel, very welcoming staff and many thanks to Isabella for the super cleaning and towels decorations. This is a old hotel and need renovations but the hotel is right on beach great location.

I stayed for 7 nights, solo, and I will definitely be staying there next time as well. The room was spacious and the oceanfront balcony was perfect for watching the sunrise/sunset. There is a restaurant directly downstairs from the hotel, on the beach. I ate there a few times. Good food (get the caesar salad, trust me) and kind staff. I was able to walk everywhere. The only time I didn't walk is when I took the hop on/hop off tour bus to go to Mismaloya which is my favorite beach. Overall, nice and attentive staff, convenient eating choices and walkable to everything. Would recommend.

Very friendly staff. Concierge who checked us in unexpectedly gave us a beachside view since this was our first stay here. Very clean. Would retunr here. Center of the Zona Romantico.

We loved it the staff where so nice and accommodating it was 10 of us in 2rooms worked really good. Location is key and they have the key The beach was right outside the hotel that was so nice we would stay there again

Great location with great views. Small pool and rooftop deck were great for relaxing. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Close to many great bars and restaurants.

Very nice experience great for people not driving because no of the hotels in this location have parking but everything else is great!! Beach, shopping and eating are are walking distance 🙂

Enjoyed sitting on balcony and seeing all the action on the beach. Great location for dining options. Room is basic but large. Liked the fact we could lock passports in safe. Overall we are very pleased with this hotel and will do it again. the only thing we really disliked, was the shower. It had very little water pressure.

The hotel is old, in the old sector of Puerto Vallarta. Many restaurants around it, including Si Señor and La Palapa, a few block from Langosta Loca. Nice beach, but busy. About 100 yards from the boardwalk

The hotel is directly on the beach, and when I opened the window, the sound of the waves soothed everything. The facilities are old and the price is not cheap, but it may be unavoidable for a beachfront room. There are many cafes and restaurants nearby, so there is plenty to do. The surrounding environment is calm and safe.

I was there for ) nights, the very first night there was a big leak from the A/C, supposedly they fixed, went out for the day, came back a huge puddle again, got all my luggage wet. We asked to switched, finally they did, I inquired if that A/C was going to leak too, they assured that one was not going to leak. In the morning, again the huge puddle, called and they said that they couldn’t do anything for me coz, I was moved once. So I had to keep putting big piles of towels on the floor to keep the water from going everywhere. We got maid service twice.
