We had a spacious room (for three of us); the breakfast was good. The location is good.

The best classic hotel in Norway

Lovely old hotel with fantastic breakfast and friendly staff. Sadly no airconditioning and as our room was on the western side on a fairly warm day, (mid May) sleeping in a hot room proved difficult. Cannot imagine staying there in summer but happily stay again at a cooler time of the year.

Convenient location to bus train and tram stations. Easy access from airport. Short walk to shops, harbour, market and restaurants. Excellent breakfast. Would definitely stay there again.

Lovely spacious room. Enjoyed the hotel amenities. Would recommend as a place to stay if you are using the Bergenbanen.

The hotel has vintage corridors design. Although with windows open, the streets can get noisy with trucks offloading but the stay was perfect. The check out process could be smoother by just dropping off the card instead of waiting for a staff.

Atmosphere, breakfast box & staff

We had easy walks to the Bergen downtown area to take the Tram up and down to hike. We enjoyed the Views of the town and harbor. Easy walks to Shopping and found many wonderful places to eat. Starbucks just down the street.

We stayed at The Grand Hotel Terminus for the night after enjoying a trip on one of the Hurtigruten ships. We didn't want to have to rush to the airport, but to have a little time to walk around Bergen. We chose the TGHT as it was near to transport links and we could also leave our luggage...and what a wonderful choice we made for the final night of our Norwegian visit. The hotel had real character - Grand it was in every way. Our room, the dining, and the general ambiance. Thank you.

Excellent room, clean and nice.

I had an outstanding experience at this hotel from start to finish. The care and attention I received from the moment I booked until the end of my stay were exceptional. Vera, who assisted me, was not only exceptional at her job but also a truly wonderful person. The room I stayed in was stunning, equipped with everything I could possibly need, and the highlight was the fantastic bathtub. Without a doubt, I will be returning to this hotel in the future.

Everything is great but the parking. Parking discount works in a very confusing way. They have a discounted rate with a public parking garage. To get the discount, you need to let the front desk know your license plate within an hour of you parking there. The hotel won't take your license plate when you check in, before you parking your car. The lady helped me with checking in wasn't super clear about it. I eventually got the discount by asking the parking garage's staff on duty. I believe the hotel should make this process more straightforward.

It was a great property with the friendliest staff, nice big rooms and good breakfast. Easy walk from the train station however that comes with it’s fair share of noise - no air conditioning so with the window opening there is quite a bit of noise.

Give it an A plus for history and breakfast , cool property, but not so good for sleeping, no AC, windows open but to a noisy lane way, get that property can’t be upgraded for historic reasons, so no AC but definitely could add ceiling fan, or a portable fan for summer temperatures, tiny bathroom but manageable, great location and staff. Just not the best nights sleep

Great location

I stayed at this property for the second time. It is convenient to the station and the light railway so the airport is easily accessible and after travelling by rail the day I arrived it met my needs. The downside of this being an older hotel is that some rooms, the standard double do reflect this and are a little tired. There was a minibar but no tea or coffee making facilities in the room. The breakfast is excellent though the hot items were not kept very hot by the hot plates this could be looked at. The rest was otherwise good and I would consider staying again

Excellent location across from the train station. Helpful employees. Many parts of the hotel need refreshing, but it was nice to stay in such an historic place. The very thin walls meant that I could hear every sound from the room next door. That’s why I gave it a relatively low rating for comfort. Luckily, I had to get up early, otherwise the radio next door at 5:30 AM would have bothered me more. You could hear the people talking, sneezing, etc. No room to open a large suitcase except on the floor, and the room was small to begin with, as are many European hotel rooms. Really fine breakfast.
