First off I'd like to write that Amy (the owner's daughter), is an AMAZING hostess and manager! I worked in the hospitality business for 17 years of my life at The Plaza Hotel in New York City, what this family owned establishment showed me was just phenomenal. Jan, the owner was MORE than one can expect (he knows my slight problem while I was there) and was an absolute help in accomodating me. Will I return??...OH YES I WILL!!! Thank you all at Kamala Dreams, Jan and Amy...I THANK YOU BOTH even more!!

I picked this hotel because I liked the location. Right on the beach and with a pool. My initial room was a bit noisy and also I could smell the food from the kitchen but I was moved into a better one the next day.Good things about the hotel are location (although I now prefer the other end of the beach which is quieter and doesn't have the smelly storm drain right outside) and the staff and management were friendly and helpful. Downside is that the entrance is through a not very attractive restaurant right on the road.

We were in room 201 overlooking the beach the best room by far.

This hotel is a little dated, with no safes in the room (although you can use the individual ones in hotel office). Air conditioner is off when you take the key and as only one key is available - this is inconvenient. That being said - we loved the hotel. Huge room, big balcony overlooking the beach, beautiful family run buisness....recommend.

A fair resort, which in need of some room undates. The room equipement, TV etc were very dated.Front desk, non existent.

Stayed at Kamala Dreams for 16 nights and it was great. Perfect location for Kamala beach and Kamala night life. Hotel and Restaurant staff were very nice and friendly. Breakfast was tasty and a nice way to start each day. Rooms were comfy, but noisy neighbors can easily be heard. Balconies are not very private, but comfortable with a nice view of the beach and the longtail boats in the water.

This is the perfect Place to stay at both for couples/families as it is located in the middle of Kamala and next to the beach.. Clean, good food and very nice staff and owner.

Manager was nice and room ok but very dated. People in restaurant was very rude and it was so dirty that we only ordered toast in the morning.We paid $1400 for a week here so yes was expecting much much more. We was so disappointed that we only stayed 3 nights out of the 7..

A great sea front hotel on Kamala Beach Our room had a wraparound balcony overlooking the pool and the beach/ sea Good simple ala carte breakfast was included Many shops, bars, massages,and restaurants in the area within easy walking distance One of the best is the Kamala Beer Garden with good food, cold cheap beer, great old Rock music and two pool tables The beautiful waitresses are excellent pool players and very attentive to the patrons Many local regulars indicate how great this bar is even though it is located on the main highway through the village Kamala Beach is one of the few remaining beaches in Phuket which has restaurants and bars on or very near the beach The usual water activities are available Golf though expensive is popular and of high standard on Phuket Come enjoy Paradise

Staff also y need to be retrained and updated in what’s now acceptable in hospitality. For example - room is clean but shutter door to bathroom has dusty parts and kitchen surfaces are clean but food sits out uncovered for far too long.I’ve seen negative reviews but Thailand’s a SE Asian country with laid back pace and different culture. Great value here if you can ignore the said negatives but this hotel may be difficult for those who aren’t. Apart from manager staff have limited English and are friendly but reserved (take time to warm up to you). What’s difficult is absence of General Manager who is away a lot but needs to be there for staff morale and the various issues staff can’t deal with. Having said that hes a likeable chap.One main reason for booking this Hotel was its free wifi which was reported as being very good. I needed access for completing arrangements to deadlines but couldn’t get internet and despite repeated requests it wasn’t sorted. Staff didn’t want to reset internet to my room and many requests for manager unsuccessful. However, I’m right on a beach for sun, sea and relaxation so enjoyed those instead.

If you are offered room 106 ask for a new room. It is right next to the kitchen and road and you will hear everything. Impossible to sleep. The next day they offered a new room which was nice and quiet.

We had a good expectation when we booked but the hotel was below our expectations. You will get good hotels at this price in Phuket.

Great stay at this hotel very centrally placed in kamala beach (quite in the night). Great staff, very service minded. Just loved the serving tables on the beach side of the hotel. The breakfast was good, you may order from the menu-great! Good coffee.

10 steps from my room to the beach! Room was comfortable. Beach was quiet and clean. (April).

Friendly staff. An overall ok hotell . Good value.
