Love the hotel to bad they starting charging for the park thats crazy it should be inclusive.

The hotel is not city center. It is a bit of a walk or an inexpensive Uber. The carpets need shampooing cleaning or replacing. The rooms are. A nice size as well as thr bathrooms, lots of space. Deep tubs and good body lotion. The balcony had a nice view of the rolling and if the water. The front staff were very friendly. Avoid the breakfast, better places to eat in the city and front host was over officious and rude. I decided not to complain because there was a line to see the manager. The hosts English and manners could use some improvement. Rio was very friendly as was their porter Ruben and a woman with bright eyes and dark hair. The manager on staff was young and had a similar surliness to the breakfast host, the attitude seemed all about money instead hosting and comfort. Hire more people like Rio and Ruben and the woman who’s name I didn’t get. Over all for a good price k would stay again because of the room sizes. Otherwise find something more city center The pool is small.

Friendly and helpful staff. Did not use many of the amenities, but from what I can tell had everything you could ask for. Comfortable rooms, a little dated but had all things you would expect.

This property was in a great location. Everything was walkable but at the same time at a decent distance from the city. Walking distance also to the pineapple plantation which is a must see. Only a 10 minute drive from the airport so very quick and easy to and from there. @exploration_wonders approved !

Nice hotel. Was able to check in early which was amazing after a red eye flight. Staff was super friendly. Rooftop view was amazing. Rooms were clean and comfortable, albeit a bit small. About a 15 minute walk to the water. Overall, we had a great stay here and would highly recommend it.

I stood in room 623, the air conditioning was not working. Very uncomfortable.

The hotel could’ve used some more outlets. It was difficult finding it behind the desk. Also the hotel did not provide a coffee machine. Other than that, it was comfortable and clean but a little far from town. Price was good.

OMG, this was one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed in. The first impression of this luxury hotel is that it's way beyond your pay grade! It's a large, modern luxury hotel with a great location. When the airport shuttle dropped me off down the street I actually walked past this hotel, assuming that the inexpensive hotel I booked would be smaller and more modest. Wow, did this hotel have all the bells and whistles! The front desk staff was friendly and professional (and all spoke excellent English). The hotel is clean and quiet and has all sorts of amenities. I never checked out the pool, sauna or rooftop deck (it was February, after all). Splurge for the optional continental breakfast--you'll be glad you did. There are many expensive hotels here but booking here was like getting a five star hotel for a much lower price point. There's a gigantic supermarket 2 blocks away, and two of the four public bus lines stop in front of/behind the hotel. It's a quick 20 minute walk down to the harbor (all downhill) if you're so inclined. The front desk was so helpful photocopying the public bus schedule for me (a great way to get the lay of the land). They were also incredibly patient finding me two full-day guided tours. No question about it--I know where I'm staying on my next trip to Punta Delgada!

Our room is convenient and clean.

The hotel has a lot of amenities and is priced very well! But it was the front desk people especially Racquel who great and made me feel very comfortable. Rui was also really good. This will be my regular choice of hotel in Ponta Delgada mostly because of the staff.

parking 10 euros per day and the hotel keeps the tour bus park on the street leaving no room for nobody never again

Not very clean. There had not been cleaned under the bed before we arrived. Bad daily house keeping. Door to refrigerator fell of. No electrical outlet near the bed. If you wanna charge your phone you need to do so at the desk. Very small television. Funny smell in the corridors but smell at the room was okay. Little Eastern Europe design over both the rooms and the hotel. The outdoor pool is ridiculous small. Not very VIP and not very exclusive. Nice breakfeast. Bath rooms are nice and have a good size.

We stayed at this property twice within a month snd the location is excellent, rooms are spacious, staff are friendly and helpful, breakfast buffet and dinner are good. If you have forgotten anything there is a huge grocery store within feet from the hotel. To go downtown to the waterfront and nearby restaurants, that too is an easy walk.

Great location, great staff, great price!

We loved staying at "The VIP"! Everyone was graciously accommodating and welcoming. We especially loved taking our drinks and snacks up to the beautiful 8th-floor pool area. The view is outstanding!

We really enjoyed our stay here! Friendly staff and great restaurant and speedy service. Awesome pool and user friendly system for ordering a taxi (but the concierge will also call you a taxi as well!) only change I would make is offering bigger pillows but otherwise the room was very clean and comfortable with an awesome view

Room was clean & comfortable, but shame all rooms seem to look out onto a busy roundabout. Buffet breakfast was excellent lots of choice & plenty of food being supplied. Didnt eat at the restaurant at night but the bar food was tasty. Staff were very helpful and friendly from reception to the bar. Would highly recommended the tour agency in the lobby, lots of choice at reasonable prices. Plus good guides. Maybe room service could be a bit later, sometimes they were calling before breakfast!! The indoor pool is great, didn't use the outdoor one though. There is a huge well equipped gym (better than some public gyms) Only a 10min walk to the waterfront. Would highly recommend.

We had a great time. We just had some difficulties with pillows which were pretty tough. There is a lot of free parking around which make this hotel perfect if you have a car. 20 minutes and you are in the center by foot to avoid going around looking for parking in thr center.

Good service. Rooms were clean. Hallways a little musty smelling (could be due to the lack of air conditioning in the halls). Overall, good stay.
