We arrive early and put our luggage in storage and were told it would be about 45 min and we would get a text. We were tild multiple times the room is in "Queue and check back. 4 1/2 hrs later still no room. Others were checking in and gettingbrooms immediately. Finally the desk cl lerk

Only disappointment was not enough black jack tables during the middle of the day

The bed was comfortable. The steam room, hot tub and pool was so relaxing. Will definitely go back.

We called the day before staying at the hotel to ask about the amenities. We asked about the pool and hot tubs, they failed the mention the men’s hot tub was out of order. It would have been nice to know that when we called. The mini fridge had beverages that were only for sale. There was no fridge for our personal use. Other than that, the hotel was very nice.

Had an amazing stay at MGM Detroit for our 15 year anniversary! The staff went above and Beyond to make our stay super special! I highly recommend for a staycation in the city!

Casino and restaurants are great. Valet and front desk at check in was wonderful and friendly. The carpet in the room was dirty. The bedding had not been changed from previous guest. We paid for a night floor and got the 4th floor looking at an air conditioning unit. The pool was closed along with the hot tub in the men’s locker room one of the reasons we stayed here and we still were charged a resort fee. The elevators took aver 30 minutes to get on the entire stay. Would come back to the casino and sports book but would not stay in the hotel again. Just disappointing.

Staff is not friendly .

It was close to Comerica Park, which was the main purpose of our trip. After eating one excellent meal at TAP we ate breakfast twice and dinner twice due to convenience. Easy trip to Hitsville USA, 20 minutes away to the Henry Ford. The front desk was very friendlyand if you validate your valet parking it is complimentary.

When we arrived at the hotel there were several police cars, an ambulance, and a deceased person under a white sheet outside of the self parking garage. The police officer was very rude when we asked where we could park since the self parking lot was blocked. Thankfully the front desk lady was very understanding and provided us with complimentary valet. However, it was very scary and did not make us feel safe in this building/area.

Great hotel

Spacious room and bathroom. Very comfortable place with several dining options and we love the casino.

The stay had everything we needed, would love to stay here again.

The rooms were so nice and the bathroom was beautiful. The staff at checking and valet were amazing.However…all of the restaurants and bars on site were understaffed and the bartenders did not make a decent drink. In a casino I would expect things to be open and running and this was not the case. We wanted to stay here to have options for dining and drinking on premises but had to go elsewhere and actually glad we did as downtown Detroit was amazing!!

Didn’t know valet was included. Parked in the parking gauge and carried our luggage thru the casino. When going to ask security a question he yelled get in line.. like I was going to gamble. Check in was at 4pm and we were told our room wasn’t ready at 4:15.

Very clean and friendly atmosphere

Great location! We came into the city to see a Def Leppard concert and was able to easily walk to the venue from the casino/hotel. PARKING IS FREE!!! Big plus!

It’s hard to find where to get into the casino driving in.

Comfortable bed, nice room

The rooms were very modern with an amazing bed and pillows. Staff was very friendly and the bathroom and shower were huge.

Our room was tidy as far as clean in the refrigerator was some leftover bacon from probably the client before us-Make sure to check all small signs so that you don’t lift anything off of the credenza and be charged for it.

The water damage in the shower was visible. Trash from the morning’s coffee was never cleaned up. The coffee machine for guests was not fully functional.

This was a horrible experience. Claimed to be family friendly only to find out when checking in that you must be 18 years or older to use the pool. The ONLY reason for our trip was for my 8 yo daughter to have a pool to swim in, stay in a “fancy” room, and go to some attractions in the area. Our room was outdated, not thoroughly cleaned, and very underwhelming. When I spoke to the front desk and two different managers, they were very impolite and refused to offer us any refund so we could switch hotels for the remainder of our stay in the city. I spent a lot more money than usual on this hotel expecting it to be a nice treat for my daughter and I have never been so disappointed in a hotel and the horrible “customer service” I received. I would NEVER go back and I make sure to share my experience with anyone who tells me they are planning a trip to Detroit. Expedia staff was very friendly trying to assist me with getting out of my multiple night reservation so we could go somewhere else with a pool we were allowed to use but the hotel refused to budge or offer any kind of refund. Terrible, terrible experience from this hotel staff.
