Such a wonderful hotel. Attention to detail, lovely medieval theme. Excellent breakfast, great pool. But there's a but. I asked to borrow a corkscrew, apparently they only have one in the hotel so the reception would need to open it for me. Fair enough but it was going to cost me 5 euros ! So i used my own means to uncork the Chablis, which was very nice by the way. Unfortunately this might be my lasting memory of beautiful hotel.

The wife and I were pleasantly surprised with this hotel. We felt that we were staying in a palace. The workers were dressed in attire from medieval times. The decor was of medieval times. They include a breakfast buffet fit for a king. The staff was extremely friendly. We arrived late in the evening and a gentleman went out to a nearby restaurant to ask if they could accommodate us as it was 1/2 hour before closing times. He came back and told us if we hurried over they would accommodate us. Well, I must say that was another pleasant surprise as the restaurant across the street was a five star dinning experience. They even let us keep our car in their private garage the morning of check out while we walked across the street to tour Obidos which is a must visit site when in Portugal and please try the wonderful tasting Ginginha drink as many stores offer tastings for a euro or so.

This a wonderful property right outside the City Wall, our room had an amazing view of the castle wall . The breakfast was an incredible spread of food ! Recommend highly!

We passed by Obidos for one night on our way to Lisbon. This small historical town was out of this world.

A beautiful property that is a perfect fit for the area. The room was very comfortable, the staff was very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was amazing! The swimming pool was a nice way to relax at the end of the day. I will stay here again!

Very convenient location to visit castle. Easy parking garage. Great breakfast spread, pretty much anything you might want to eat. The staff was particularly helpful and friendly. Great place to stay when visiting Obidos.

Nice,.clean hotel but chose a premium room and it was a little lacking (no comfortable chair, iron, tea/coffe, complimentary water etc). Overall the hotel is nice but the medieval theme is massively overdone and the staff uniforms are Disney level ridiculous. Has the potential to be an amazing cool hotel but as is it's a clean,. comfort hotel with pleasant staff.

We spent two nights at Hotel Real D Obidos. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, including robes and slippers in the room, full breakfast, lovely swimming pool

This was an amazing stay during our time in Obidos! The hotel staff were completely helpful The area itself was amazing, the hotel was so cool and the pool was NECESSARY because it was so hot while we were there and we were able to wait out the peak tourist time by the pool with probably the best view of the castle, the restaurants nearby were amazing, everything was so great! If you take public transport it's right near the bus stop which was incredibly convenient. Our one "con" is we thought it was a bit silly the hotel staff was made to wear Medieval costumes.

If you are happy with 'quirky' then this will work fine. The room keys are like something out of a medieval jail!! Rooms are great, location perfect just outside the city walls of Obidos, so everything immediately accessible without being in with the hoards of tourists. Breakfast really good and plentiful. One gripe, advertises a pool. It was very hot in the afternoon, so a dip would have been great but although end of May, pool 'not open' until 1 June, so if important it may be worth checking when its available.

Amazing hotel and staff. Very comfortable beds and service is outstanding. Would stay here anytime. the decor and little details give this place lots of charm and makes you feel you're are in a castle
