good value and a good location to visit the surrounding beaches and historic areas

We actually loved our stay. The bed was super comfortable and it was very clean. The staff was so sweet and nice. We will stay here again.

The hotel itself was GREAT! The Expedia service was TERRIBLE!!!!!!!! I called to change the date. The hotel said it was okay with them but Expedia lied about it and charged me for a room I never got to use.

With the exception of the mattress everything was awesome. Our mattress was lumpy and sloped downwards. Everything else was great. I’d stay again in a heart beat.

The hotel was clean, quiet. We had a hot shower. The pool and gym were also a nice touch. The breakfast was wonderful, however the last hour of the breakfast time should be restocked and trash taken out for those late breakfast eaters.

The room and hallways smelled staunch of mold and mildew the fridge was moldy and broken

It was reasonably priced, we most likely will stay there again.

Our family wanted to spend a couple of days in Southport before checking into our rental for the week, but we now wish we had spent a little more money at another hotel! There was a funky smell throughout the hotel, beakfast was well below par, and the elevators stopped working! The worse part, however, was walking into our bathroom to find mold everywhere!! They moved us to another room, but by then, we were beyond frustrated!

The hotel was nice. The bed was a little hard, the shower water pressure was great. The breakfast was advertised till 9 but they didn't replenish anything after 8. The choices were slim pickings. A few pieces of runny eggs and cold sausage. They did have bread that you could toast and if you want to wait for the line at the Belgian waffles. 4 chocolate only muffins were remaining. A woman ran out of the back room to replenish the forks and plates at 8:30 but that's it.

The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. They were in the middle of some upgrades (HVAC) so we had to change rooms but the staff went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable

We stayed for 7 nights. We immediately had to be moved rooms due to the first room having dirty floors and beds. The second room had mold all over the ceiling. The fridge did not work. The Air Conditioner barely blew cool air. The entire place smelled so bad. The guest laundry as advertised does not work and was told by one of the attendants it hasn’t and will not be fixed. Had I known laundry wasn’t available I would have packed appropriately. Also had to wait on clean towels and wash cloths daily. We are now sick with upper respiratory infections. Not to mention the tv and chest fell on me while trying to put clothes in it.

The bed and pillows were very uncomfortable. Very hard, past firm. I had to go buy a pillow. Housekeeping could have done better. We had to request toilet paper and towels. This was late in the day when they should have been by already. Breakfast not great. They ran out of many items. No one kept an eye on the breakfast service.

The area was quiet and clean. It will do if you aren't wanting to stay on the beach area.

Don’t change linen, no laundry services and it explains why they are cheap to stay at ! Rooms are in poor conditions

Rooms need updating with new beds. Didn’t get much sleep the whole trip. Staff were nice. Pool area was good.

Very nice hotel, about 15 minutes from oak island, great, friendly staff and free breakfast.

Room with 2 queen beds is ok and other than the mattress is a bite hard

Great staff and great complementary breakfast

The room had stains on the carpet and furniture. The office chair was ripped. Free hot breakfast was way under-supplied for the volume of people booked in the hotel. It was one of the worst complimentary breakfasts that I’ve had. The room posted that under NC law, no more than $300/ day could be charged for the room. We were charged $300. We did online check-in and the staff were unable to retrieve the information, stating that Wyndham’s computer system was not reliable. Would never stay here again and plan on contacting corporate level staff to file a complaint.

I was not happy with my stay. The bed was very uncomfortable. There were cockroaches in my room. The bathtub wouldn’t drain properly. No venting in the bathrooms. The hallway smelled like feces. The breakfast counter had hair on it. I will never stay there again.

The room was very nice, and the staff was very courteous and professional. The breakfast bar was the only thing I didn't like. It was very basic.

Hotel location was good. It’s only a short ride to downtown South Port and 15 minutes to the beach. Cleanliness was good. Breakfast was good. Housekeeping did a good job. Shower was fair, but not enough pressure from shower head. Shampoo and conditioner supplied in the shower is very convenient. There was no exhaust fan for the bathroom which was very frustrating. Smells and steamed bath mirror after showers was not ideal. Sign explaining operation of the exhaust was a joke. I’m an Operations Manager for commercial buildings and the exhaust system is down is just likely not in the budget or too expensive to repair at the moment. It really lowered my overall score to a four star and needs repairing or replacing. Otherwise, this is a very nice place to stay. Saw several reviews about bugs. I saw no bugs or evidence of bugs. Beds were great. Pool closed at 9:00pm which is too early during the middle of summer when it’s still daylight at 9:00pm. Needs to close at 10:00pm on the weekend.

Easy to find location. Just minutes from Southport!

The front desk staff was extremely nice. They were very accommodating. I would stay there again
