Close to the town and beach without being noisy. Great location. Breakfast was fine. Room was good.

Situation ideale

Great location, professional service from the staff, the hotel needs a small amount of investment to the room like carpet and shower upgrades.

The rooms have windows in the main street which is a very busy road, always traffic and noise. I could hear the guests walking in the room above. The style is more vintage if I could say, regarding the furniture and bathroom. I don’t find it is ok not to have a door for the bathroom, which looked very old. I have read similar reviews and also true about the bed: not the best quality nor comfortable. There are other hotels in the area much better and the difference in money is 20-30 euros. I think many things could be improved. For those not minding the noisy in the street or old furniture or thin walls, that should be ok for a night. In the area I totally recommend Hôtel La Villa Des 2 Caps. It was a nice surprise for me.

Lovely friendly hotel perfect for using the tunnel

Weekend break away on France France for my Wife's birthday. We had a lovely stay in the Hotel St Jean and we will be returning again in September.

Rather basic, but OK for 2 nights. Good breakfast. Basic room, not very large, but rather noisy at the street, and unfortunately the airco was turned off apparently due to corona. Result: very hot room with river view, but also with sun and heat in the afternoon.

We have stayed here a couple of times, ideal access to the tunnel, 5min walk to the seafront and town. Great welcome and a very good breakfast.

Good location, close to a variety of restaurants. Beach easy walk away. Had to just take a chance on street side parking but actually wasn’t an issue at all. Lots of open spots near hotel. Would stay here again and no hesitation to recommend to others.

I and my wife have stayed in this hotel on many occasions - the. staff are always friendly, the hotel clean and tidy - the location is ideal for the beach and town- only one minor comment is that the chairs in the breakfast room are quite bulky and a little heavy and therefore difficult to manage

Weather was terrible but the room had a good view of the high street, was quiet, well heated, and we enjoyed a bottle of wine looking at the river and listening to the wind.Had a good meal at Chez Yann and enjoyed our stay. Probably the first time that we did not have a walk along the seafront, and a beer!

Well positioned for access to town Main Street. Easy road parking

Room good but no hot water for the two day stay. When complained was told nothing they could do.

We booked dinner at Hotel Continental (downstairs restaurant) which we can thoroughly recommend - drinks on the terrace too as the sun sets over the sea. Wimereux has some interesting little shops, a lovely weekly market, beachside promenade and, if you are interested in architecture, beautiful houses in the backstreets. Handy too for ferries at Calais, Boulogne - aquarium and shops, and for exploring local villages and the countryside further inland.

When we arrived after a 10 hour drive, we discovered that the hotel no longer take dogs but it would appear that Hotels.com were not informed or were and the page was not updated. However, the hotel accepted us and the dog as it was late and I suspect they realised their mistake. The lady who checked us in was very helpful. Upon checkout, we paid in Euros and the exchange rate was over inflated. I had asked for a room with a bath but was told there was only a twin room with a bath or we could upgrade to a family room with a bath. I upgraded - this cost another 20 Euros - but the room had twin beds pushed together. It was very small - the same size as the double. It was not sound proofed as advertised, the aircon did not work, it had no tea/coffee or water, no hand soap, tiny towels. It was tired and shabby. I was disgusted at being charged 20 Euros for a bath. I was also charged another 14 Euros for the dog and was not informed of this at check-in - there was no mention that the dog would be an extra charge. I was charged 5 Euros for the dog the previous night in a much nicer hotel which clearly stated there was an extra charge for the dog. Because I had to pay locally on checkout, my £75 room cost 120 Euros and the extra will not be accredited to my hotels.com rewards account. I raised my concern at reception about the extra charge for the dog and she laughed and waved me away. I am pretty disgusted by the whole experience.

Lift will make you jump but it always does what it does: you’ll see if you stay here. Room size is about right. Would be nice to have kettle & tea making facilities.
